Gold, Silver and Crystal were the second generation, and they had 251 Pokemon. They were on GBC.

I prefer the Zelda series and Final Fantasy series. (I've only played FF8, Tactics, and an old one)

The Pokemon story is always the very same.

"You're a ten-year-old in a small town, now leave your mom's house and go visit a nearby professor with your rival and choose one of three Pokemon, then travel around gathering eight gym badges while overthrowing an evil organization with stupid outfits, then beat the Elite Four, then another guy and you're the Champion. The end."

If they want me to illegally download any more of their games, they better do something radically different with the next one.

Ah yes, that's what puts me off playing old school Pokemon these days. The battles are too slow and boring. Training your Pokemon is a nightmare. I began replaying Yellow last year for old times sake but I stopped at SS Anne (that big ship with hundreds of trainer battles  ). I found out that you COULD catch Mew without cheat devices (it's a glitch), which was really weird. My sister got all 150 Pokemon on Blue but she doesnt want me to get Mew on her save file because its "cheating"...

Thank god for Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen. Brilliant remakes of the original games. I was in love with FireRed until Action Replay fucked up my save file which had like 200 hours of play. It's fun messin with codes though.
So yeah, those games are a lot easier to play than the oldies because they updated everything, added new areas, pretty much made the best games ever.
Emerald is also a brilliant Pokemon game and the last one I really enjoyed. I got Diamond but got bored fast, they have to change the formula because the new games are just stale and I hate how complex the Pokedex (pun intended) has become. Way too many monsters now, it's a joke but just glad Pokemon is still running even though it isn't as popular as it once was.
Children growing up today are so OWNED. You missed Pokemon, you missed good Disney, you missed good kids TV shows and you missed a good era WAHEY!!!!

Argh!

*tears hair in frustration*

What the hell is going on in that topic?!? I WANT TO KNOW! I've asked in the topic itself, but I got weird irrelevant answers, I asked in the Rayman1 - WORLD MAP! topic, but got no answer, I asked in Droolie's 2D sprites and backgrounds topic, but got no response at all...I figured if I asked in THIS topic, which is very popular, someone who reads this will know what's going on...

Well, it's just an option, but if you don't want to overdo it, then just wait patiently and see if you'd get a response.

It looks like it details some of Rayman [1]'s visual development from concept art to digitally-composed imagery. I'm still learning French though, so I can't really do any translating yet.
