But in primary school there were always new crazes, such as Bay-blades, Pokémon cards, SPL stickers (lol), Harry-Potter scars, ponchos, those rubber bracelets with quotes written on them (those were awesome), blonde highlights and so on...

The latest crazes!
Currently, here it's bandanas (worn like cow-boys basically), and for the guys, patterns shaven into one side of your head...

Same here. I used to love those. I still have a few...hundred....pokemon cards.Acarr wrote: Bay-blades, Pokémon cards
Re: The latest crazes!
I used to worship Pokemon cards, until I finally saw sense. Each pack (I believe one pack consisted of seven cards) costed £2.50. That's nearly $5 I think. It's one of the worst ripoffs I have ever seen in my entire life.
And to think some people collect hundreds upon hundreds of these rather pointless cards. I don't even see where the joy of collecting them came from, anyway...

Re: The latest crazes!
I noticed pokemon card craze in the 4th grade, so I begged my mom. Went to this place called... Ro.. something, lol can't remember it. But got my first pokemon card, a Mewtwo, for $15. :3
Re: The latest crazes!
One of my friends collected 1000+ I believe, which is more than £300. It's facepalm-ingly ridiculous to be that obsessive.

Re: The latest crazes!
Well, in our school, those crazes were more inside-related. When there was a sale of school newspaper (it costs 1 zloty - 22 eurocents or 32 cents, I think) called Shell - half of our class and some notable people out of it yelled But Mussle was free! (Mussle - my parody of it, at the moment abandoned. I would never think it would be so succesful.)
Re: The latest crazes!
I've got a big folder pack to contain them all and throughout the years, my brother would always steal from my collection, and vice versa to own the most. It's plain stupid thinking about it all now, but the company must've made a fortune with it all. 0_oXenon wrote:I used to worship Pokemon cards, until I finally saw sense. I think the funniest thing about it must be how I've never actually played the game
Re: The latest crazes!
Each card would cost around 13p to manufacture, and yet each sold for around 40p. It's just sick.
Re: The latest crazes!
Now I know why my mum wouldn't buy me them more often...

Re: The latest crazes!
I've seen at least 5 people today with pink hair/highlights. It's craziness I tells ya.
Re: The latest crazes!
I don't know about pink hair, but a lot of people do seem to be dying their hair at the moment...

Re: The latest crazes!
Every boy in Ireland seems to be dying their hair in a kind of mixture of black and blonde, as well as gelling it up. It is annoying. I just want to shave them all.
Re: The latest crazes!
We had a craze where everyone went around knitting themselves macramé necklaces recently. The thread we used, stinked of cow. Or maybe horse. Anyways it stinked. So we all went around smelling like we'd been sleeping in a barn.
