Re: God...
If there had been an infinite amount of time, then time would never have reached the point it is currently at.
Re: God...
Here's an interesting thought: If there is an infinite amount of time available in the Multiverse, all humans are basically rendered "immortal". If you can't figure out why, ask me to explain tomorrow. I'm too tired right now...
Re: God...
God? Dunno. But I'll give him/her/it/whatever the benefit of the doubt, what else can I do. :3

Re: God...
If there's some time in every universe, and there are infinite universes, then yes, there is infinite time between them all. And this does mean that eventually, there will be a universe which is the exact same as our own, right down to the orbits of every single electron. And yes, there will be people that are the exact same as us. But I don't think that means they actually share consciousness with us, if that's what you mean (assuming consciousness to be the essence of a human being).
Re: God...
Define consciousness. I assume you mean that me in a future exactly identical Universe won't be aware that I have existed before. By your (assumed) definition, I wouldn't share consciusness with me 10 minutes ago if I were to lose all of my memories right now.

Re: God...
But who knows what happens when you lose consciousness? If it's oblivion, I don't think that's what happens to people with amnesia.
Well, how could someone know if someone identical to them once existed in another universe?Tobbe7 wrote:I assume you mean that me in a future exactly identical Universe won't be aware that I have existed before.

On the subject of god...
"Eighteen hundred years ago in the city of Rome, an influentail Christian heretic named Marcion took a look at the world around him and drew a conclusion: The god who created our cosmos couldn't possibly be good. The universe was shot through with appalling threads* - violence, slaughter, sickness, and pain. These evil's were the creator's handiwork. Surely he must be some perversely sadistic force, one who should be banished from influence over the minds of men."
- Howard Bloom, "The Lucifer Principle".
*Also applies to RZ.

Re: God...
As for that multiple universes thing, is there a theory that can back it up? I've never heard anything like it before, to be honest. Some explanation would be nice.
Plus, try to define time by itself. You'll see it connects to matter. With no matter around, there will be no procession, or in another word, change. For us, time means that things evolve. Which is caused by the procession of all matter that exists.
It's quite an intruiging subject, and finding the cause of matter and time, which is manifested through the universe, is the most complicated thing in existence.

Re: God...
All we know of time is its effects on space. There may be more to time than that, though, but we can't know.
Multiple universes are shown to be possible by quantum tunneling or maybe something Einstein said. I have to look it up myself, actually

Re: God...
How do people know that there are more than one universe anyway?

Re: God...
Yes, I do. Now don't even try to lecture me with science. Capicci?!
Re: God...
Yes, I understand. You're delusional and you refuse to listen to reason. You poor bastard.
Re: God...
Ho, I need a tickle, ho ho ho!
In the TV series, he sounds a little Irish.

Re: God...
If anything, new Mr Tickle sounds like a northern farmer.
Anyone in the UK watched the TV show "This Morning"? There was a segment where Robert Winston showed everyone his kids book about evolution. I bet he's gonna get a complete bollocking from creationists like they're doing with David Attenborough.
