If anyone managed to travel back in time, wouldn't anyone not know anything about it as then it has changed? (such as in back to the future)

Doubt it. There isn't really a measurement of time, it just seems to be the name given to the progression of matter. 'Time' would pass by you, but the consequences that occur from the continuation would not... I think. It's quite a complicated issue.

I actually saw a documentary about time travel on National Geographic Channel yesterday. It also supported that multiple universes thing that was talked about earlier on. It's like, if there are distortions or anomalies in the universe that can bend the space-time at that specific region, then the light is divided into multiple directions (also shown in a classic physics experiment where a laser beam is sent through a very small opening, after which it splits in like five different laser beams) causing the light to follow different paths, namely a shorter one or a longer one. The light that travels faster than other light causes different time frames to exist. So one could follow that theory and assume if one were to change a specific time frame by travelling back in time, this would happen in another universe, not affecting the one with the time frame we live in right now. If we look at our own lives as they are right now, we should be able to conclude from that that there are no sudden changes of people being alive or not, so the time frame in the one universe we live in now shouldn't be affected by people in the future travelling back in time (if that is happening) and changing our history, which would affect our present. But that's not possible, since history has existed before and made us what we are now, and if rigorous changes were to be made suddenly, we would certainly notice that, like the next day we wake up, some people are suddenly dead, others alive, cities have undergone changes. So either it doesn't happen at all, or it happens in 'another universe'. Or the civilizations elsewhere in the universe who have more control over time and space, have all kinds of laws that prevent anyone from messing with time in whatever way...

Either way this is just mindblowing, I feel my brains will explode if I continue any longer with this post. And remember what I'm saying might as well be complete nonsense, since I'm no expert and have done no research on this subject. Just analyzing the stuff I've heard and trying to make assumptions based on that. But hey, it's interesting to think about it nonetheless...

If you change the past through time travel, then you're not just changing things as they are now; you're also changing things as they were. And that includes our memories. So if you go back in time and change something, nobody will actually notice...

...maybe it's already happened...

Time travel is one of those things that nobody could change.

In RE 2 years ago, we watched this Disney cartoon called The prince of Eygpt (I think anyway) and God in it was shown as sparkles, a bit like the magic in R2.

I think that if it were possible to travel back in time you'd be in a remote universe (parallel to this one obviously) because we know that you could not be seen or sensed in any tangible way as we do not see future time-travellers and never have done. And I do feel confident that one way scientists (maybe even from a different solar system) will discover methods to reverse or go back in time.

It simply must be unless time machines are never, ever, invented. And that just seems unlikely to me.

Why would anyone want to travel back in the past anyway? We now live in a small world.

It's not really because of the sights or events, it's just the fascination of discovering exactly how the time system works! I'd give anything for that!

But if you got stuck in the past, how would you be able to get back again and tell people that it works? :mefiant:

Well, you know how it works, but nobody would understand you or know how to make one.

I don't get out much.
Who the heck is that?
Well, I think God must be like a supreme being with the Earth like a marble to him.
That's how he's everywhere at once.

That's Egil "Drillo" Olsen. One of the greatest football coaches ever. He lead the Norwegian national team to victory over Brazil in the 1998 World Cup, and in his comeback two days ago he lead them to a glorious away win over Germany.
He is an atheist, btw.

And God doesn't exist, iHeckler.
