Yeah, I take the Matuvu after the sixth yellow gem. I use the same strategy as with the very last Matuvu, namely making a stop just before the yellow gem that I use to combo the Blue Menace. Then I have half a second to approach it and prepare to look up.

Okay, nobody congratulate me. I've finished part 3 with 15900 points. It's abysmal I tell you, I de-extended the 3MC and only took the fourth Matuvu for 1000 points. My target was 16000. Oh well. I should still be able to get 44000 if I play part 4 magnificently.

Naah, just kidding. What was your score after part 3 last time you played FC? You settled for 1.000 combo points from the last Matuvu, does that mean you aimed for 1.500 combo points from that blue thing? Wow!

Last time I played I reckon my score would have been -1000 points as I didn't combo the final Matuvu with anything. So say 14900. I'm slightly scared though, as 1000 additional points only enable me to get 43000 in TFC, and this is simply not good enough. I can tweak up the Funkyboardz a little, but not to a great extent. I'm praying!

By the way, can you explain in detail your special combo in part 4? Does it include all the fairy holes? (if it does then I have a feeling I know, but it's good to make sure ^^)

yeah thanx but its, a bit hard my goal was 33000 points in TSBTC part one but I did only got 28000

Like I said to Mostwanted, it is worth examining your combos. You can find improvements in the strangest of places.

By the way, were you in any way close to getting the fourth Matuvu for 1.500 points? It has never really entered my plans going for that, especially after everything else has gone well.

I could have got fairly close if I persevered, but I didn't see myself taking it for 1500 points in a short space of time. The one thing that was preventing the combo from working was the strafe: it kept locking on to the nearby platform (thus changing Rayman's position). I know it's possible though as mostwanted provided a video, but I suppose the chances are within the finest porthole of opportunity. Did you have any luck in this field?

Where is mostwanted, anyway? He'll never overtake me at this rate.

Ok, I tried to have a look at the first room in part 4. In order to get 15 objects before the Matuvu one has to start with the last yellow gem on the vine and then work backwards. I tried that and I failed so horribly as I ever failed anything. I can't get to the last yellow gem. I can't jump from the third yellow gem on vine to the Meadowscrew. I can't fall from the other Meadowscrew in order to kill the Hoodblaster. I can't get to the Meadowscrew with the Vortex on time. I can't jump from the lowered Meadowscrew to the hollow while hitting the second Meadowscrew. Maybe I remember now why I gave up this approach earlier. Man, I suck!!!

Sorry to break into the discussion again (I'm quite busy, but I'll start playing again as soon as I'm finished with the Hall of Fame), but only Xenon has accepted to become a HoF moderator so far. I would need at least one more person from the top ten players to make sure no cheaters will spoil the fun.

@ MandM: I don't like the first room in part 4 at all. I spent nearly an hour devising new ideas to get the Matuvu for an extra 500 points, I haven't prevailed and all of these ideas just went up the shoot. However, the one I described in the PM is probably the most credible method to managing this combo, and I'm not sceptical of it working. The only flaw I see is getting to the Meadowscrew in time with the Vortex, and I'm angry that the Hoodmonger only gives us 5 seconds rather than the conservative 6 I tried many approaches to getting to the Meadowscrew, including running up the lighter blue rim and jumping from one corner, but again I failed. IF ONLY THAT VORTEX WAS GIVEN SLIGHTLY EARLIER THE COMBO WOULD BE DOABLE.

And while we're on the subject of failed ideas, I also tried making new methods for the last room. Again, I'd only need a few seconds to make a lucrative improvement, but these seconds just don't exist.
