Re: Rayman 2
Rayman 2 is not as good as 1 or 3.

You're crazy!!!
Re: Rayman 2
Well, Rayman 3 is much more funnier
And 1 has levels that don't scare you too much
Rayman 2 doesn't have a plotline.

You can't possibly be serious.iHeckler9 wrote: Rayman 2 doesn't have a plotline.
Re: Rayman 2
Revolution doesn't, but I haven't got Rayman 2.
Re: Rayman 2
Razorbeard still intends to reduce all creatures in Rayman's world to subjects of slavery. It's just not as complex as the storylines in other Rayman games.
Anyway, I personally prefer R3 for the awesome replayability factor and scenery. However did anyone else feel that Ubisoft sort of...gave up after the first four or five levels? CF, TBOM and TLOTLD still remain my favourite gaming locations ever, but to me levels like HH, TTOTL and possibly TDOTK seemed rushed and the scenic value to me was fragmented.
In R2 I thought the magic was evenly distributed. Levels towards the end of the game held equally good aesthetics as those at the beginning.

Re: Rayman 2
I agree with you.
In DOTK, at the start, you should see some birds flying around somewhere.
Look in on them real close and they're just triangles in the sky.

Re: Rayman 2
This is exactly what I mean. But furthermore the level boundaries are ridiculous in my opinion, and if the camera is pointed from a north-east position (speaking vertically) black nothingness can be seen behind the desert "walls". Clearleaf Forest was totally different - these odd walls were replaced with nice cliffs that couldn't be bypassed.
Re: Rayman 2
There's something on Bog of Murk as well, I don't know where it is, but instead of a flying Hoodlum ship, there's a horrible image...
Re: Rayman 2
But there were no boundaries to TBOM, just endless (or seemingly endless) marshland. It would be impossible to reach further than twenty odd metres away. What's this image you speak of, anyway?
Re: Rayman 2
It's like the triangle birds, except just a flat image of a Hoodlum in a balloon.
Re: Rayman 2
Actually, game developers tended to do that in those days because the computers where not powerfull enough to calculate so many 3D objects. Speed was very important. Well, now those days are over seeing that almost everyone has dual core processors now.
Re: Rayman 2
Whenever I think of the development of R4, being yet another vast improvement (graphically speaking) I go weak at the knees. I'm getting impatient.

Re: Rayman 2
Maybe it's better that it may be coming out a few years later than was originally intended; the graphics of an R4 released in 2010 or 2011 would be far superior to the graphics of an R4 released in 2006 or 2007.
Re: Rayman 2
I'm not waiting for super graphics in R4. i want a Rayman platformer with the magical feeling, the great music, the great storyline, the great varïety of gameplay of the previous Rayman games.

Re: Rayman 2
So you'd prefer mediocre graphics?
