Re: Rayman 2
[2000th post of this thread]
The way I look at it is: Revolution has music, but when you revisit a level, it has ambience. Therefore it has twice the audio content of Rayman 2. That may be an exaggeration, but you get the idea...

I agree with you. It has something to it.Yeah, she was talking about Revolution. And there is indeed no music when the levels are revisited, but to me that gives them some weird creepy atmosphere that I quite like. I can see why others would disagree.
I think Rayman 2 has these too. But the music pushes them to the background. Someone should try to set the music volume to 0 in Rayman 2. I renember hearing these ambients in Rayman 2 : TGE.[2000th post of this thread]

Re: Rayman 2
It's like in Rayman M after a race. The competitors are on their respective stands, but there is no music at all, even if you have won the race. And I think this lack of music gives it a very creepy, dark prospect... the scene would be totally enlightened if music was present.
Except for the beach levels - background sounds of waves and birds can be heard. That's cool too.

It's really creepy after you finish Treasure Ship. The ship is rocking back and forth, and so is the screen, and the ambience is weird...

Was Rayman M before or after Rayman 2?

Re: Rayman 2
After. It was a spin-off game based on Rayman 2.
Re: Rayman 2
So is The Animated Series.
Did TAS come before or after Rayman M?

Re: Rayman 2
The animated series was made long before Rayman M came out as well.
Re: Rayman 2
The animated series even came out before Rayman 2. Gotta love Razor in that show.
Re: Rayman 2
He loses his accent from Rayman 2 though, speaking with a normal voice instead of a robot one.
Re: Rayman 2
Well, maybe he had a sore throat.

I like how his 'beard' is above his mouth.

Re: Rayman 2
Isn't it that way in R2 as well?
Re: Rayman 2
Thats true.
In Revolution, there aren't tiny blue elves to shrink you down, there is a magic mushroom that makes you small.

You're confusing Rayman 2 with Rayman 1 here iHeckler9
there weren't any tiny blue elves in R2

Re: Rayman 2
Are abilities of little Rayman limited, like in RRR-GBA? Or maybe you just see a cinematic of shrinking and you enter another (part of) level, so technically game doesn't shrink you at all?

Re: Rayman 2
Once you get the Raindance power, you can go back to the Fairy Glade and water some tiny mushrooms to make them grow. Then you see the words "Eat Me!" above them (Alice in Wonderland reference?), and when you do, you shrink. You can't control him as he shrinks, but a cutscene doesn't start, it's all in-game. When tiny, he can go through a hole in a wall and find a cage and some pirates. It's a nice R1 reference, I think.
Re: Rayman 2
I've tried finding glitches to be small in the regular level, instead of them confined areas.
Re: Rayman 2
I told ya.
