Okay, sorry for the huge bump. I just wanted to bring this up again, because I have the files from RRR1 for Wii now.
There are a lot of beta/prototype things in there, and they are ( judging by the filenames ):
- The old Rabbid models ( with and without fur )
- Data for a cutscene in which... Rayman dies? o_O ( CINE_MORTRAYMAN.wol and _basic_cine_mortRay.wol )
- Files for different worlds
  • BRK_Exterieur_FPP.wol: ???
  • BRK_Exterieur_GuerreMonde.wol: War of the Worlds, mentioned here later
  • BRK_Exterieur_Racines.wol: Roots?
  • BRK_Exterieur_Savane.wol: Savannah
  • BRK_Exterieur_Skyland.wol: Land in the Sky
  • BRK_Interieur_ChuteLibre.wol: Freefalling, probably the freefalling minigame in RRR
  • BRK_Interieur_Grotte.wol: Caves! :D
  • BRK_Interieur_Rides.wol: Rides? Animal riding? Dunno.
  • BRK_Interieur_Temple.wol: Temple area from the prototype! ^^
  • Several files for the Far West ( lol, Far_Ouest )
  • Foret_Magique.wol: Magic Forest: Probably the area from the screenshot where Rayman is riding an eagle and is chased by the rabbids
  • FPP_EXT_ville.wol: Town?
  • iles_de_la_tentation.wol: Temptation Islands: probably from the screenshot with Rayman on the shark
  • Iles_Flottantes.wol: Floating Islands: could be another name for Temptation islands
  • Macro brik foret.wol: Another forest, possibly the one we also saw in the trailer, where Rayman jumps across a pool? It can also be the same as the Magic Forest
  • prez_E3_Ruines_lapins.wol and other files with similar filenames: Rabbids in Ruins.
  • prez_E3_to_the_dance_floor.wol: To the dance floor? Did Rayman have to dance for the Rabbids or what? This is NOT the dance minigame from the RRR we have now, because there is E3 in the filename.
- Possibly A NAME FOR RAYMAN'S GIRLFRIEND. In French, it is EMILIE. So in English: EMILY. I kinda like the name, even if it's not for her. I still prefer Raybecca though. Here's where the name is mentioned: cine01_fpp_ext_test_emilie.wol
- There also seem to be multiple limbless called RaymEn. XD ( CINE_PREZ_RAYMEN.wol )
- THE WAR OF THE WORLDS DEMO. This is PROBABLY the demo we saw in the trailer ( with the countless bunnies and their gigantic robots ). I mean, what else could it be? There's "demo" and "GuerreDesMondes" in the filename. :P ( DEMO_GuerreDesMondes.wol, Guerre_des_Mondes.wol and lots of other files )
- SPECIAL WORLD FILES WITH INFO ( INCOMPLETE ): I have to warn you, if you do NOT want to know how Rayman 4's story was going to be, don't look at this.
  • WORLD 1: NO INFO
  • WORLD 2: World 2 was going to have a factory ( MONDE_02_DONJ_Factory.wol ), a laboratory ( MONDE_02_DONJ_Labo.wol ), and a cave ( MONDE_02_DONJ_grotte_stell.wol ) as indoor areas ( "DONJ" is probably from "DONJON", which means "Keep", but is probably used just to say that the area is indoor ). Of course, it would also have outdoor areas ( MONDE_02_Exterieur.wol ). They had already done the AI for this world ( MONDE_02_Exterieur_AI.wol ), and the cinematics too ( MONDE_02_Exterieur_Cines.wol, MONDE_02_Exterieur_Cines_B.wol ). Rayman would also have to ride a flying saucer ( "soucoupe" is flying saucer: MONDE_02_Exterieur_RideSoucoupe.wol ). They also had different version of the exterior areas, but I don't know what for: an area without sound ( MONDE_02_Exterieur_SinSound.wol ), with sound ( MONDE_02_Exterieur_Sound.wol ), and a solo ( multiplayer? ) area ( MONDE_02_Exterieur_solo.wol ).
  • WORLD 3: This is probably the world from the first R4 screenshot ( look at my description ). It's a factory ( MONDE_03_DONJ_UsineMeca.wol ), and you'd probably have to ride A SPIDER ( MONDE_03_DonjonMecaraignee.wol: "Araignee" is a spider ). Again, there are the same exterior files, just like for world 2 ( with and without sound, and solo ). However, in this world, you'd also have to ride a shark ( MONDE_03_RideRequin.wol ) and fight a Rabbid Robot ( MONDE_03_TheRabbitRobot.wol ).
  • WORLD 4: In this world, you'd have to do something with Globox/his children ( rescue him/them? ) ( MONDE_04_DONJ_Globbox.wol and MONDE_04_DONJ_Globbox_Solo.wol ). And the exterior files are there for world 4 too.
  • WORLD 5: Not so much info, but there would be at least one indoor area ( MONDE_05_DONJ_01.wol ) and the usual outdoor area(s).
  • WORLD 6: Possibly the Rabbid Temple ( MONDE_06_DONJ_Temple.wol ). Also, there is the usual outdoor area(s).
  • WORLD 7: Only the outdoor area. Probably because the game wasn't finished yet, so normally, there would be more indoor areas.
- What different characters/animals would you be able to play as, if we had got the original R4 instead of RRR?
  • Rayman himself ( Rayman_0nly.wol )
  • Rayman on a spider ( Rayman_Araignee.wol )
  • Rayman on a Triceratops ( Rayman_et_Triceratops.wol )

You should start a website with screenshots of all this stuff you are finding.

Who knows? It may get enough attention that people will want a new Rayman platform game.

This is a big bunch of stuff. However note that areas (island, factory and forest) seem to be better at fighting than at platforming.

And "Emily"... I think it was just a development name. Like "Vienna" for Windows Vista or "Venice" for Silver in Sonic '06.

Or maybe the game was supposed to be so ''hella cool'', they wanted to change some animation during gameplay when Rayman dies during Game Over with a detailed cutscene in which he dies? Like in ''WALL-E The Game'' during some levels!

You're great! Rayman and Rabbids characters are very interesting! These Rabbids would be "good Rabbids who want to defeat the Jabba Rabbid. Also the Rayman's death movie reminds me of Sonic's death in Sonic the Shit (2006). Emily must kisses Rayman to bring him to life! RaymEn would be Bad/Dark Rayman, who would be locked in Rabbids Base with Emily (Rayman rescues his girlfriend and enemy in the beta version).
