It's a classic thread. Vintage stuff. It could be really cool if they unlocked it, but it might end up ruining it. Like an unnecessary sequel, you know.

Yay. Saint Patrick's Day.

My laptop has completely stopped working and I am convinced that a problem with the memory module(s) is to blame. I'd just bring it back to the shop and get a new one, but the thing is, all my files and things are on it. And I want them back. :|

Your memory module doesn't have your personal files, your hard drive has

Yeah.

And with a gammy memory module I cannot turn on my laptop, and therefore I have no access to my files. :|

Try to open notebook (if possible) and to plug your SATA/ATA plug to working PC, maybe it would work?

What is a SATA/ATA plug?

And I obviously can't open Notebook if I cannot turn the laptop on.

Well, I can turn it on, but I can't launch Windows. Else we would not be having this discussion.
