How is it a R1 reference? I'm probably missing something.
In some Rayman games (R1, R2R and RRR-GBA) there were some thingies which changed your size so you could reach another parts of level. Because of R2R being released before RRR-GBA, it was probably just a reference to R1, not "established cannon element".

And there are mushrooms in the background of the Dream Forest in Rayman 1.

Mushrooms are in all the games, just like cages and plums.

are those fish in rayman 2 angelfish, the ones that are on ummm fairy glade (thats it now i remember) when you open the door for the globoxes, that level

ok you know the main place that you turn up and then theres an underwater tunnel, with a cage. and theres some fish swimming there

Have you heard about Polish filter called "censor"? It locked a forum for me because somebody used once word "whore" (usually used as alone "fuck" in Polish).

Nahh, it's just the concept of Rayman in a little blue frock that's disturbing. Like Spiderman in a dress.

Spiderman in a dress doesn't seem disturbing. He does, after all, always wears a skin-tight suit. :P
