I was going to question what was so good about that until I found beta pics. Oh my god they had the Rayman 2 life face. For some reason though when I click on the really old stuff it takes me to the beginning of the gallery whut.

I love how this old beta used Times new Roman text.

at 4:01-4:08 there is a Rayman 1 screenshot on the wall. Kelvin12 pointed this out, I would probably have never spotted it otherwise!

I'm suprised that you haven't played before, Rayman Arena was my first game in GC. Anyway I'm happy for you that you found all of what you wanted to know about this version of the game! =)

I'm surprised you're surprised we haven't got it, as most of Rayman community lives in Europe, and there was no RA for GC there. Also note almost nobody has got GC itself.

I still have my Gamecube actually but I stopped using when I got my Wii. Oh the joys of backwards compatibility.

Yeah, backwards compatibility is awesome. ^^

By the way, I just tried out Rayman Revolution on PCSX2.
Here are the funny results. :P
Escaping the Prison Ship... a different way! ^^
Everything is glitched, and the game isn't playable at all, because you fall through the floor as soon as you start to play. XD

Guess it'll be playable in a few more versions. Looks a bit blurry too...

That's just because I set it in the lowest possible resolution.
But yeah, I have a PS2 anyway, so it's really not a problem for me.
I would have liked to see it working in higher resolutions though. :(

You can do something very similar by helicoptering off the wooden bridge in Globox's House. You have to run, jump and helicopter as far as you can. It's kind of cool. I discovered it.

Hey

When I try to start R3 GC in Dolphin, I get an error message telling me to check the logs for more info. And this is what the logs said:

Code: Select all

Supported OpenGL Extensions:
GL_ARB_depth_texture GL_ARB_fragment_program GL_ARB_multitexture GL_ARB_occlusion_query GL_ARB_point_parameters GL_ARB_shadow GL_ARB_texture_border_clamp GL_ARB_texture_compression GL_ARB_texture_cube_map GL_ARB_texture_env_add GL_ARB_texture_env_combine GL_ARB_texture_env_dot3 GL_ARB_texture_env_crossbar GL_ARB_transpose_matrix GL_ARB_vertex_buffer_object GL_ARB_vertex_program GL_ARB_window_pos GL_EXT_abgr GL_EXT_bgra GL_EXT_blend_color GL_EXT_blend_func_separate GL_EXT_blend_minmax GL_EXT_blend_subtract GL_EXT_clip_volume_hint GL_EXT_compiled_vertex_array GL_EXT_draw_range_elements GL_EXT_fog_coord GL_EXT_multi_draw_arrays GL_EXT_packed_pixels GL_EXT_rescale_normal GL_EXT_secondary_color GL_EXT_separate_specular_color GL_EXT_shadow_funcs GL_EXT_stencil_two_side GL_ARB_texture_rectangle GL_EXT_texture_rectangle GL_EXT_stencil_wrap GL_EXT_texture_compression_s3tc GL_EXT_texture_env_add GL_EXT_texture_env_combine GL_EXT_texture_lod_bias GL_EXT_texture_filter_anisotropic GL_EXT_texture3D GL_3DFX_texture_compression_FXT1 GL_IBM_texture_mirrored_repeat GL_NV_blend_square GL_NV_texgen_reflection GL_SGIS_generate_mipmap GL_SGIS_texture_edge_clamp GL_SGIS_texture_lod GL_WIN_swap_hint

Help?

I wonder isn't it a RAM issue. But dunno.

I screwed around with the configuration, and it's working!

But at about 20 fps. And it's hard to see what's going on, as the the textures are all varying shades of black. Is there any way to make it...playable? Apart from getting a high-end PC, that is. (I have an Intel Pentium Dual CPU T3200 @ 2.00 GHz, and 3.00 GB RAM.)

You didn't use the DirectX plugin, did you? That one gives black shades for me, and it's indeed very slow. The OpenGL one is much better.

When I use the Direct2D9 plugin, it runs slowly and gives me black shades. When I use the OpenGL plugin, it doesn't work at all - it says "Can't create opengl renderer. You might be missing some required opengl extensions, check the logs for more info". And when I check the logs, it says:

Code: Select all

    Supported OpenGL Extensions:
    GL_ARB_depth_texture GL_ARB_fragment_program GL_ARB_multitexture GL_ARB_occlusion_query GL_ARB_point_parameters GL_ARB_shadow GL_ARB_texture_border_clamp GL_ARB_texture_compression GL_ARB_texture_cube_map GL_ARB_texture_env_add GL_ARB_texture_env_combine GL_ARB_texture_env_dot3 GL_ARB_texture_env_crossbar GL_ARB_transpose_matrix GL_ARB_vertex_buffer_object GL_ARB_vertex_program GL_ARB_window_pos GL_EXT_abgr GL_EXT_bgra GL_EXT_blend_color GL_EXT_blend_func_separate GL_EXT_blend_minmax GL_EXT_blend_subtract GL_EXT_clip_volume_hint GL_EXT_compiled_vertex_array GL_EXT_draw_range_elements GL_EXT_fog_coord GL_EXT_multi_draw_arrays GL_EXT_packed_pixels GL_EXT_rescale_normal GL_EXT_secondary_color GL_EXT_separate_specular_color GL_EXT_shadow_funcs GL_EXT_stencil_two_side GL_ARB_texture_rectangle GL_EXT_texture_rectangle GL_EXT_stencil_wrap GL_EXT_texture_compression_s3tc GL_EXT_texture_env_add GL_EXT_texture_env_combine GL_EXT_texture_lod_bias GL_EXT_texture_filter_anisotropic GL_EXT_texture3D GL_3DFX_texture_compression_FXT1 GL_IBM_texture_mirrored_repeat GL_NV_blend_square GL_NV_texgen_reflection GL_SGIS_generate_mipmap GL_SGIS_texture_edge_clamp GL_SGIS_texture_lod GL_WIN_swap_hint
