Re: Rayman 2
If you're not a graphic bitch, you'd find R2 one of truly best games ever.
Re: Rayman 2
Actually, Rayman 2 had one of the most beautiful graphics i had ever seen, it's just that the textures don't meet up with today's standards. But it's still beautiful.
Re: Rayman 2
OH! I have a pressing question relating to what you just said!
I presume many of you know about the (supposedly cancelled) fan-game Rayman DX, correct?
Does anyone know where the creator of that game got the Rayman 2 textures and backgrounds from?

Theory:
N64/DC/PSX/Whatever emulator + texture dumping utility.

Re: Rayman 2
Umbelievable, If you want my opinion. I just find it such a big hit (figure of speech) compared to R2. I mean, the story is more clever, creative. Red lums getting turned into black ones. Plus, more enemies to beat, better graphics (I find the R2 graphics pretty too) and I just find pretty much everything halerious (did I spell that right?).spiraldoor wrote:It isn't.
I like the Robo-pirates very much, but they just came from space. The story is quite simple really. Still, I'm very disappointed to hear that R2 is more popular than R3.

I.....cannot...die! I....am.....proberly..one..of..the..most..popular....video..game..characters!!
I like Rayman Revolution best, out of all the versions of R2. Though there are a few ways I think would improve it .

Re: Rayman 2
Revolution is awesome... but I think that the best version is the Dreamcast one.
It has the original R2 levels, best graphics, and tons of extras.

Re: Rayman 2
I think that would more likely be Revolution.

1. Better graphics? 2 years later? Wow, this is hard to believe younger game has better graphics.
2. More enemies? Well, this is a matter of taste - but R2 was built mainly on platforming, when R3 stands on cans and fighting. There is still a lot of platforming, but... the fights made climat way different.
3. HILLARIOUS? Do you prefer a good action movie with a few absurdal moments or slapstick comedy?
4. They just came from space? Believe me, if there would be R2-2, you'd be shocked how detailed their story would be.
Re: Rayman 2
A story concept can be simple, invading Robo pirates from space reducing Rayman's people to slaves. But once worked out very well, like Rayman 2 did, it becomes a masterpiece.
Re: Rayman 2
And R3's story was WAY better.
Can we stop arguing about this now? The fact that R2 beat R3 makes me sad and angry at the same time.
I wish I had the PS1 Version. So I could fight the better ninja pirates, final battle and BETA level of the original Rayman 2 at the end.

Those two sentences certainly should not have been put in the same post.Dimentio wrote:And R3's story was WAY better.

R2 story: Rayman's world is invaded by mechanical pirates from space. You must find four ancient, magical masks so that the long-dormant god who created the world may be awoken and destroy the pirate army. You must then destroy the evil pirate leader in a one-on-one battle. The gigantic flying pirate ship explodes, and your friends think Rayman's dead. But then he is revealed to have survived the explosion, and must rest, for more adventures await.
R3 story: A red lum turns into a black lums because Rayman's hands scared it with a shadow. It starts turning other red lums into black lums. Globox swallows it. You must then escort Globox to three different doctors. Then the black lum getsout and forms an alliance with one of the bosses you've already beated. Then you kill the boss and scare the lum, turning him red again.
Can you honestly say the second one is better?
~I remember FAB also said that he thought R1 and R3 were better than R2. Funny coincidence that.
Re: Rayman 2
Not to say that yo can think about the Rayman 2 story line more, one of the things i always wonder during Rayman 2 is where the robo pirates and Razorbeard come from and by who they are made. Maybe eggman...

Re: Rayman 2
There are no chickens when you destroy them... but huh, there are red lums.
Re: Rayman 2
Grrrrrrrrr........just shut up. Please .
I wish Ubisoft didn't quit making the original R2. I would have really wanted to see how it finishes.

Razorbeard escaped, Polukus kick the pirates ass and the world get lucky and harmony.
That is the end of Rayman 2. UbiSoft haven't quit making R2 until it was done.

He means the original game that was like Rayman 1 before they decided to make Rayman 2 a 3D game instead.
