Yes. Yes I am. I know everyone here finds it creative and unique that Rayman chose the on-foot path, but to me it just seems like he's being left out. Not that it was a bad game, but look at Mario Kart. One of the most successful racing series of all time and THE most successful kart-racing series.
Yes, let's make Rayman like everybody else.

The on-foot racing was what made it great and original. There are plenty of car/kart racing games already.

I agree about Ly, but little else.

Mixing Hoodlums with pirates wouldn't be a good idea methinks.

Anyway Tily is probably the character equivalent of Ly. It's likely they didn't include Ly because of her reputation of being fast in the previous game.

I'd also like to find out why they replaced Ly with Tily. Maybe Ly just doesnt want to fight.

Well, could you imagine battling against a Hoodblaster, as a pirate? It would be so clashy and stupid.

I've never heard the word "clashy" before. And I don't see what would be wrong with such a fight.

Well...

Hoodblaster's ''helicopter'' (you know, slower fall) would be a balloon from R3 :P

I think the biggest error of Ubisoft was not adding Online feature on the PC version, the game would gain more Multiplayer valour... and even more with a scoring system.
And if they made a Rayman 2 remake for PS2 and a port of Rayman 2 for DS with very small changes, why they simply couldn't pick on GC's Rayman Arena for Nintendo Wii and adapting controls for the Wii and adding Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Online feature? Its just a thing that came up to my mind.

By the way, there's a very odd thing happening on the PS2 version: in Dawn Sand I cannot find the "+5" Lum, getting only with the "+4" score. The last Lum that should be in the rock platform side to the cascade on the beggining of the track it isn't there. Only in the PC version... Is this a serious programming error or it's me?

Online Rayman M would have been fun for about five minutes, but to be honest that sort of thing just comes and goes for me, judging from the fads I had with netplay and Maple Story. Plus, I don't think it would have been good enough for the time it came out, the PC version isn't 100% perfect as it is.

Rayman Arena did feature online gameplay. But the europian version didn't.

But online gameplay in the current Rayman M would fail. To be honest, making a fun online game is one of the hardest topics in game design. Leveling up and battle against other players to gain experience gets really repetitive and boring after a while. A fun online game would take ages to develop and would need to feature many options to keep you entertained. For example, in the case of Rayman M, you could have an hub with several challenges, and the winner, would for example unlock new challenges for him/herself or gain one of many secrets to enjoy or unlock new levels in offline mode. The main problem with online games, is the goal, the thing that drives your player to play the game is accomplishing the goal of the game, an online mode doesn't have that. So it gets boring pretty quick.

I have played Rayman Arena online, but it wasn't online originally. Only LAN multiplayer ( which allowed us to play online with a few extra tools ). :P
