Is there anyone here who doesn't have some kind of psychological disorder?

It's totally natural for people to get angry with this game - I remember when I was playing TBOM part 3 I messed up the green gem combo after playing the first massive combo spectacularly. It just boils the blood.. no psychological disorder.

Nowadays though I seem to lose interest instead of getting cross, interestingly.

I think its not a big deal if yo get angry with the game , in a few minutes i can play with a big smile
But I'd better quit rayman , because I get angry with it.
Im going to play Jak and daxter. They rule !

Well done! Will you replay some levels to improve your score further?

As for getting angry, we have all felt a certain frustration now and again. For me the frustration has maybe been highest in BOM part 3, as Xenon also mentioned. Getting the long combo right only to lose out on the green gem in the end is hard to bear. I have broken some remotes at this boat secret.

Another frustration happens in LOTLD part 3. When you have played this long level perfect and you enter the top of the Tower getting ready for the combo with the Hoodboom and the Hoodoo, the Hoodboom commits suicide. That is a hard one to swallow as well.

One of the old champions, Block, actually stopped playing R3 out of frustration, also in BOM. As far as I remember he had nailed part 5 (or part 6) with the right score after playing for ages only to experience the game didn't save properly and the score was lost.

I can remember throwing stuff through my living room back in the old days. HH part 2 was a part that angered me at times, especially when I couldn't even manage the first combo. In the course of the years I've learnt patience. Even if I don't manage a combo I usually don't lose my temper. I either continue playing or I make a little break and try it again later.

However, there is still stuff that can make me screaming. The best example is the fourth part of CF, when the blue light appears on the position of the first slapdash for like the tenth time in a row. Another thing is when I manage all the difficult combos perfectly and then blow some easy stuff in the end. It happened to me in part of TLOTLD twice. I did everything right and just had to combo the Heckler in the end but I muffed it.

Actually yeah CF was the most frustrating level for me, part 2 in particular. The glitch often required fifteen minutes of continuous jumping and helicoptering, and to be honest this was annoying enough in itself. But then you had to get everything else right, and this seldom works even without the use of a glitch..

Part 4 was kind of frustrating too. I remember the first Hoodlum in the third wave restarted the combo metre ie was taken a few nanoseconds too late. I think that was the only occasion where I actually threw the controller.

Fortunately it's one of the easiest levels in the game, without really hard combos.

Learning the glitch was very frustrating. I remember jumping, rolling and helicoptering for half an hour without ever getting up. But once I understood the workings behind the glitch, it rarely took me more than a minute to do it. That's one of the many reasons that make CF my favourite level.

@Hunch: I can't agree with you on that one. TDOTK and TTOTL are lots easier to me. TLOTLD has some difficult combos, especially in part 2..

I was only talking about part 3, even though I still find TTOTL much harder than TLOTLD. As concerns part 2, the bonus Hoodblasters helped me a lot ^^

May I ask, which method did you use? MandM's trick or DTUCC's? I could never master MandM's at all.

As for TLOTLD, I don't find this level difficult at all. Part 1 was perhaps the most challenging, but I certainly couldn't label it difficult.

Strangely, I could only do MandM's jump on a regular basis when the door was already down. Therefore I used DTUCC's (originally Jona's) method but with a little change. Different from DTUCC's video, which is just jumping and rolling, I was always careful to find the right spot on the piggy bank. It turned out to be a very profitable approach.

I remember the days when I was less confident and playing for the maximum score in TLOTLD for the first time. This Hoodboom ruined many of these first attempts. Now I can laugh of it of course. :|

Now there are still areas of frustration in the game which I cannot laugh off. Getting the Hoodblaster alive in BOM part 3 is one. Sometimes I can start and restart the game for an hour without success. The Shoe race in LS part 1 is another very present frustration. The green gem in SBTC part 3 is there too and finally getting a combo to work that requires all Lums to be converted into three Lums each is frustrating beyond belief.

raywiz: You can look at page 1 in this thread. There is a walkthrough for The Desert of the Knaaren with points written down and with a few videos as well.
