Re: Rayman 1
I had an accident involving my Rayman 1 Saturn disc.
...
I got glue on it, and it WOULDN'T come off. Fuck. There's a copy I spotted for a fiver so I'll just have to see if I can pick that up.

Why would you have glue on it? Were you doing some home improvement or something?

Re: Rayman 1
the card was flapping off the plastic case and I tried fixing that up before realising that there was a hole in the middle... ffffff
Re: Rayman 1
I have a hole in my donut, so I went and complained about it.

Re: Rayman 1
Yeah, the Rayman 2 PS1 version had the changes made by Ubisoft Shanghai, but the prototype level was probably done with Michel Ancel in France.spiraldoor wrote:That video's apparently been there for nine months, but I only noticed it for the first time yesterday, for some reason.dingodile555 wrote:Has no-one ever unlocked it before?spiraldoor wrote:I just saw a video of 2D Madness for the first time ever. It is epically awesome. It has revitalised my desire to unlock 2D Nightmare.![]()
Anyway I really do like 2D Madness, and FINALLY someone put a video of it on YouTube!
Alsop, syntheticgerbil said that s/he knew two people who managed to unlock 2D Nightmare (and even saw a screenshot), but the method of doing so is still uncertain.
2D Prototype level in R2 PS1, 2D Nightmare in R3 GC...both of these ports were developed by Ubisoft Shanghai, weren't they?
I'm pretty sure I've read a press release that all the Gamecube add-ons fior R3 were done by Ubisoft Shanghai, but if someone says they saw "2D Nightmare" somewhere in the code for the PC version, then that's very odd.
Well even if they were lying and Photoshopped that screenshot, that still doesn't explain why there is still one unavailable minigame on Rayman 3 for Gamecube.dingodile555 wrote:Why dont you put the GameCube CD into your computer and see if you can find anything about 2D Nightmare??? I dunno..... Maybe the 2 people who said they unlocked it were lying?
That's an awesome find! You think these are maybe unfinished minigames or maybe there is a way to get to them similar to how you get to the arkanoid type game in Rayman 1?CheatCat wrote:In Rayman3 > Gamedatabin folder there is a fix.lvl file that you can find this:spiraldoor wrote:Also..."strange chess game"?! Re: Rayman 1
I thought 2D Nightmare was the easiest to get in Rayman 3... Then again I do have the PC version so...
Anyways, guys, 2D Nightmare is the first minigame you get in the PC version, lulz for trying so hard to unlock it.

Re: Rayman 1
2D Nightmare? I've only heard of 2D Madness.
If they're both the same in different versions, I would understand.

Re: Rayman 1
It's 2D Madness you unlock first. 2D Nightmare is 2D Madness 2.
Also, why are we talking about R3 in an R1 topic?

Re: Rayman 1
The Arkanoid/BreakOut-type minigame was actually finished; it could be played in the Jaguar version by pressing 1, 3, 6, 4 during the 'walking hands' part of the intro sequence. It gave you infinite continues when you finish it.syntheticgerbil wrote:That's an awesome find! The Xowar and Chess minigames, on the other hand, appear to have been left incomplete. Perhaps the text was the only part of them that was ever even made...

Re: Rayman 1
In the PC version, you can get at it by typing b76b7081 (1995 version) or CBRAY (Rayman Gold/Forever Version) on the map screen after beating Mr. Dark.

Re: Rayman 1
It could also be somewhere in the Saturn and PS1 versions. Developers sometimes leave unnecessary stuff in like that, just in case their removal accidentally fuxes up everything.

Re: Rayman 1
Yeah I got into it with CBRAY. Dunno if it was after I beat Mr Dark, been way too long since I actually completed the PC version.

Re: Rayman 1
You don't understand. 2D Nightmare is a Gamecube exclusive. You get 2D Madness automatically on Rayman 3 for just hooking up a gameboy with Rayman 3 GBA, you don't even have to play the game. 2D Nightmare and 2D Madness are not the same game.Kelvin12 wrote:I thought 2D Nightmare was the easiest to get in Rayman 3... 2D Nightmare is also sometimes known as 2D Madness 2. If someone could unlock the thing and confirm it, we would know the official name.
I guess it's because these two minigames take place in Rayman 1 type levels?PluMGMK wrote:It's 2D Madness you unlock first. 2D Nightmare is 2D Madness 2.

Yeah, I've played it. It's in all PC versions, I think, but I could be wrong, as it seems the code differs. Sounds a lot easier to unlock on Jaguar.spiraldoor wrote:The Arkanoid/BreakOut-type minigame was actually finished; it could be played in the Jaguar version by pressing 1, 3, 6, 4 during the 'walking hands' part of the intro sequence. For my R1 PC version I also had to type "b76b7081" on the map screen after beating every level and getting every cage. I don't know what's more bizarre, that they couldn't just have let you play the breakout game automatically for winning with every cage or that they make you type "b76b7081." It's not even a simple word like most PC cheat codes. CBRay is much better, too bad I can't use it..
I bet since breakout game is in the Jaguar version, I would guess it's in the Saturn and PSX versions as well? Maybe no one figured out how to get into them yet or Ubisoft never released the code to take you there.

Re: Rayman 1
The PS1 version gives you the option of using ten-digit passwords to save your game (though it also lets you use memory cards). The password screen is also used for some cheats, I believe; there's a code that automatically takes you to the end-game FMV. It's quite possible that there's a code for the BreakOut minigame, though it would require some hacking to find out what it is...

[ontopic]That Xowar minigame is a really great find. I'll take a look at the Gamecube version and see if it's in there as well. Who knows, maybe I'll find the way to unlock 2D Nightmare when I'm looking for that.[/ontopic]
