Re: Religion - your views
It's just a bunch of recordings from people who thought the world was flat, though.

[FRESH START]
Yeah. I don't believe anything in the book of Genesis myself.

Re: Religion - your views
At least you're more reasonable than Mister Dark from a few pages back, then. Good.

Re: Religion - your views
What, Shawn believes in Adam and Eve?
Re: Religion - your views
No, I was referring to the other Mister Dark (I believe Shawn used to be called 'Mr. Dark'). I think he made his big introduction with the Kalaam Cosmo Argument for god (which utterly failed although he wouldn't admit it) on page 55 or something.
It wouldn't surprise me if Shawn believed in Adam and Eve, though.

Re: Religion - your views
It's fair enough to believe in a supernatural being but believing in talking snakes is quite, quite different.

Unless you're a Harry Potter fan.

Re: Religion - your views
It's very much a fictional thing, isn't it?

I wonder where the Garden of Eden is supposed to be. If it actually existed, there'd be a reasonable chance that the Tree of Knowledge and the Tree of Life would still be standing (real trees have been known to live for four or five thousand years - according to the Bible, those two trees would only be about six thousand years old now).
~I seem to recall Genesis saying something about God setting a flaming sword to guard the Tree of Life. I want it for my mantlepiece.

Well, the Garden of Eden didn't exist. That's the Church's viewpoint, as far as I know.

As God's power is meant to be limitless, a God-powered flaming sword could be used to create a perpetual motion machine. It would be difficult to get enough power out of it to solve the world's energy crisis, but hey, who knows.

The solution to Global Warming: A deity-powered flaming sword.

Apple trees don't survive for thousands of years!spiraldoor wrote:I wonder where the Garden of Eden is supposed to be. Oak trees can do, though. In fact there's one near Winchester that was named 'Gospel Oak' after it was blessed or something.
