Rayman Junior and Rayman Designer, however, came out before Rayman Advance, and he was mentioned as Bad Rayman. Anyway, I think it's obvious for everyone that both clones are totally different (the first one being a spell and the second one a skin).

In Rayman Designer, he is refurred to as both "Bad Rayman" and "blackray" (in the event file for cake)

Though, he has never really been called black rayman anywhere on the internet, I suppose that part doesn't matter. :)

I prefur calling him "dark rayman" instead of "bad rayman" because in that game with the skin, the skin doesn't look dark at all..And the "boss" as you could say, is a rayman that looks very dark and evil, and pretty much like he is in Rayman 1, doesn't he?

Also, I read some posts and they seem to forget both bad rayman, and dark rayman are in the game....
EDIT: Or am I mistaken? I don't think the boss looks anything like "dark rayman" skin..

I ripped some sprites of Dark Rayman from Rayman Advance. I'm sure no one cares though.

Because BMP files are evil

Other than that this is a actually a good rip, and it's always cool to share such.

What exactly makes them evil?

Uuuh gee I dunno, excessive file size maybe? This BMP was like, 3.8MB but as a PNG it's 110kB, big difference.

Yeah, it's more than 35 times bigger.

What a waste.

No, unless you use a colour palette smaller than the palette of the picture itself.

At school, we were told to save pictures as JPEGs because of the size of Bitmaps. That is, until people were having trouble colouring in already-saved pictures. The teacher asked why this was happening and I told here that it was because of JPEG. So, from then on, the rule was save in Bitmap until it's finished, then save in JPEG and delete the Bitmap.

Your school must have some ancient versions of MSPaint then, most of the time it comes with PNG options now.

Nope, it's probably just lack of knowledge.

Custom, actually. I used his fist colors and Rayman's original fist to re-color it.

Thanks, and I really need to remember to rip them in PNG...ugh

That's the version I have. And I can't be bothered to switch.
