Honestly, I don't see any real purpose in that record attempt. I've skimmed through some of today's most active threads and all I could find were pointless messages and chat-like conduct. I wasn't registered at PC when the last record was set, so I didn't know how these record days proceed. Naturally, I expected a lot of spam but this is way too extreme. Again, my question, what is the purpose? The only thing it does in my opinion, is reducing the quality of the average posting on PC and thus making a bad impression on newcomers and guests thinking about creating an account here.

Not only is it a convivial event which breaks the routine of PC, it helps create new discussions and somehow revives the board. We've been through several record days and all of them have been beneficial for us, I don't see why it would change now
