Fanfiction: Scorched Dawn

Post by need my speed »

Rayman 1, 2, and 3 have happened. The prologue is an edit of the introduction movie of my first level in the "Create a Rayman 2 level" topic. English isn't my main language, thus I sometimes have problems with explaining things. Also, sorry for any gramatical or spelling errors, or confusing parts. Please tell me what you find confusing, and I'll explain it. Thank you for your attention. :P

----------Scorched Dawn----------

-----Prologue: Initializing-----

A grassy area, with some mud, stones, a mountain, and a small river in the background. It's a bit dark, with shadows, although it's not the creepy kind of dark. Exactly 1000 lums fly to a single thing, which is hidden in the shadows. It is the heart of the world. The lums appear from every direction, from very small cracks, from the sky, from everywhere, and they all merge with the thing, which starts to emit a yellow glow, that becomes brighter with every single lum that merges with it. All this happens in 5 seconds or so.

A planet, which emits a yellow light (coming from the heart of the world). Then, a shadow, which slowly falls over the planet.

Rayman and Globox, playing catch, with the Baby Globoxes running around them, and eventually jumping into Rayman making him fall, and thus look up, at the sky. Globox says:
"I've won!", but Rayman stares at the skies. Globox walks over to Rayman, but Rayman continues to stare at the sky. A shadow slowly moves over the screen. Globox askes:
"what's wrong, and also looks at the sky.

Again, the planet, but totally darkened, and the bright yellow light ray flickers a bit, turns darker and lighter, and eventually falls apart. A giant pirate ship moves into view, and smaller ones are launched from that ship, which race towards the planet. These 'ships' (actually partly wooden, partly metal pods) all crash into the planet, causing small explosions which you can see. A mechanical voice, from inside the giant ship, says:
"Operation: Scorched Dawn, initialized".

A week later. 2 damaged Henchman 800's are walking in some grassy area like the Woods of Light. They have a few small burns and holes into them, and their clothes are ragged. One has lost the left part of his head, the other has lost his hook. Then, a small pod crashes behind them, leaving a crater in the ground. The pod instantly collpases, and a huge fire emits. From within emerge 8 Henchman 800 "Grunt's". The 2 damaged pirates look around, and run away, but the 8 robot pirates run much faster, and easily catches them. 1 robot pirate touches 1 damaged pirate's head with his cannon, he waits a few seconds, and then fires, destroying the damaged pirate very brutely. Pieces fly everywhere. Then, another pirate moves his hook up, and crushes the head of the other damaged pirate.

A prison ship, which circles around the planet. This prison ship doesn't really look like a conventional ship but more like a space ship, and it is all made of metal. Inside that ship, a Henchman 800 "Zapper" comes through a door at the end of the hallway, and looks around, looking at thousands of cages, everywhere.

Rayman, Globox, 2 baby Globoxes, and a Teensie are running away from a group of all kinds of robot pirates (all upgraded Henchman 800's, but different versions). They all fire, and miss, all kinds of weapons. In the background explosions can be seen, with pods landing everywhere, even in front of Rayman etcetera. The area looks like the intro of Rayman 3. Shortly after the start of this scene, a Baby Globox is hit by a small bullet and explodes. The Teensie already was a bit far behind Rayman and co, with the Baby Globoxes a bit in front of him, but now the Teensie desperately tries to sprint and jump on Globox or Rayman's back. After a few seconds, one of his jumps lands him into the woods somewhere. Globox then looks behind him, just when the surviving Baby Globox copies the Teensie's movement and tries to jump on Globox. They both roll over, and some robot pirates surround them, while Rayman runs on. Some pirates run after him, but a yellow one stops near Globox. After casting a quick glance at him, he looks at the fleeing Rayman, and launches a barrel that was set on fire, like Molotov Cocktails, but different. Rayman is hit by the blast. He thus is also captured.

A small wooden prison ship, like those warships in the Bayou, has landed in a swampy area (like the Bog of Murk), and a quite large (12 or so) group of robot pirates carry Rayman and Globox inside the ship, which then starts to take of (it doesn't leave the ground yet, but the engines are working). Inside a group of bushes and trees, the Teensie which jumped accidently into the woods, is looking at Rayman and Globox, which are carried inside the ship. The Teensie sprints towards the ship, the pirates start to fire at him, and one bullet touches his body, but goes on (I don't know how to explain that, but you maybe get what I mean). The Teensie however is badly wounded and falls to the ground. The pirates capture him.

Inside that wooden ship, Rayman sits lonely in his cage like in the first level of Rayman 2. The Teensie then enters his cage. He says:
"Rayman, I can help you. I were put in a cage just like yours, right next to you. I am so small, I could crouch beneath the electric beams. I've come to help you. However, I'm weak. I feel like I'm going to die. Soon. Very soon. But first, I'll help you. Even if it's the last thing I do..."
Prophetic words, as he creates a silver lums, which transforms into a yellow portal, like all Teensies can create.
"Quickly Rayman, I'm so weak, the portal will soon disappear. Walk through it, it will take you somewhere outside of this ship. I'm so weak, I dont know where...Exactly it will bring you...Not to the Hall of Gates, I'm...Not strong enough for...That. Please, go! I'll...Go to Globox...And create a portal...For him...Too...Now...G...Go..."
"Ok...But my powers...They have mostly disappeared...Make sure Globox is fine...Thanks for your help..." Says Rayman, before he enters the portal.

The Teensie, which is still very weak and badly burned, as can be easily seen and heard, dies just after Rayman enters the portal. When will Rayman realize, Globox is still on the ship?

-----Chapter 1: Fallen God-----

-A pinkish beach, near a huge mountain body, near the Precipice (although unknown to Rayman)-

On a pinkish, small patch of sand, near huge mountains, a yellow portal appears. Rayman appears from it. Then, the portal starts to flicker, and yellow sparks fly of it. Rayman walks away from the portal, wondering what's going on. The portal's shape changes, and then it simply disappears. The sand beneath it, is slightly burned. Rayman turns around, and looks up. It appears to be noon, a bright sun shines, and a few nice, white clouds hover across the sky. Rayman doesn't recognize the huge rocks, the light grey tinted mountain, but he does spot a small opening in it. Concluding that, since the Teensie wasn't able to create portals that lead to specific parts of the world, Globox probably wouldn't appear near by, Rayman decided to crouch down and enter the mountain via the small opening. After all, the pinkish beach, which was nearly surrounded by the mountain, was only a few meters long, and the only other way was via the water, in which he spotted various piranha's, and no sight of land. He hoped he would reach Globox soon, but he wondered what would happen to the Teensie. He was badly burned, and sweat was running over his body. He would probably die at the hands of the pirates, but Rayman hoped the Teensie would survive. First things first though, Rayman needed to know where he was, and where Globox was. The only way out of here was through the small opening, so he enetred the mountain.

-Inside one of the huge mountains-

In a small, circular, dark area, the Monarch sat on his cold, small, stone throne. He was asleep, or perhaps inconcious, or maybe even simply thinking, but the fact remained that he hadn't moved for a few days. No one knew, but ever since these new pirate robots had shown up, the Monarch hadn't moved. 4 Despot's surround him, also not moving. There was no way in, or out of this small cave.

-Inside the same mountain-

Rayman walked through the dark mountain. It was unnaturally dark, sometimes pitch black, sometimes very dark blue, and sometimes simply dark grey. Someone had made paths here, and skeletons, some even with pieces of their body, which resembled those of Knaaren's, lay on those paths. Near those pathways, strange pillars with strange markings could sometimes be found. Dark blue gemlike things lay across the paths, some still emitting a nice dark blue light. Occasionally, a destroyed robot pirate could also be found. They resembled the shape of a robot pirate, but the clothing and coloring was totally different. 'What is this?' Thought Rayman, observing a nearly fully intact Knaaren corpse. In the middle, however, was a robot pirate body, with Knaaren like arms and legs growing out of it. When Rayman had walked a good fifteen minutes, more and more pillars began to appear. Taller ones, with even more strange markings on them. Also, most of the paths were lit by dark purple light, instead of the occasional dark blue light, and that is if there was light. Rayman felt like he had walked on some paths multiple times, for the whole inside of the mountain was a maze, containing tenthousands of paths. Some very long, some very short. Suddenly, Rayman stopped walking. The purple light had slowly become darker and darker, and now it was pitch black again. Now, he truly couldn't see anything. He could turn back, but Rayman, being the hero he is, decided to go on. He fell right inside a hole.

-At the same time, inside the same mountain-

The Monarch awoke. Instantly, the 4 Despot's sprang to life, noticed that their master had moved, and resumed to do what they were doing, standing frozen around their master, watching every single dust particle (whatever the word is, in Dutch, it is stofdeeltje, or perhaps stof deeltje :P), ready to capture, or kill, any intruder. The Monarch opened his eyes.
"Aaaaah...It feels good to move again." He hopped down from his small, stone throne. Then, he realized something, and froze. "Guardians, there is an intruder here! I am still very weak, although I've gathered enough energy to be awake. Protect me!" The Monarch ordered. He hopped back onto his throne, and a dark blue / dark purple forcefield appeared around him, with strange dark blue and dark purple marks in it, which changed, appeared, disappeared, and moved across it. This forcefield appeared just in time, because some small stones would have otherwise fallen right on top of the Monarch.

-Again, at the same time, inside the same mountain-

Rayman stood on a very small stone platform, which was lighted by gems, alternating between dark blue and dark purple ones. The platform shook a little when Rayman landed on it. He was trapped between huge stone, unclimbable walls, he was unable to escape. Then, the platform shook again, and again, and then it crumbled. Rayman landed on top of a strange dark blue / dark purple shield. He bounced of it, right into the arms of a Knaaren like creature. It was the head of a robot pirate however, that looked at him.

-And yet again, at the same time, inside the same mountain-

The Monarch looked above, the entire cave was lit with purple and blue light that came from above. He never knew that the rock barrier was so thin. Then, he looked at one of his Despot's. The Despot who had Rayman in his hands, to be exact. They were all awaiting his command. A single word of him, could be the dead of this limbless creature. Just like old times. He looked inside the creature's eyes.
"Hey! You are Polokus!" Shouted the creature. The Monarch snarled, Polokus, how dare the creature mention him. Polokus, the one who supposedly created everything. Bah!
"SHUT UP!" Screamed the Monarch in anger. "Polokus is nothing compared to me! NOTHING!" To Rayman, it appeared as if this creature was totally mad. And evil. "Polokus! Hah! I guess you believe he is the god? His word is law? He created everything, his power is immense? Well? Do you believe that?" Shouted the Monarch, not expecting an answer. The forcefield disappeared, and he jumped down from his throne (his throne was only a few decimeter high). "Bah! How dare you mention that name. I will tell you the truth, so I swear. In the hope, that the world will remember me. Tell me, do you know me?" Asked the Monarch.
"No?" Said Rayman. He briefly noticed that the throne, which had simply been some sort of pillar, resembling Polokus' one but much smaller, a dark grey stone pillar to be exact, was very slowly gaining a purple / blue tint. The Monarch jumped back on his throne, and then realized something. Old memories came back, powers he thought he had lost a long time ago came back, his energy came back. He was a god again, and was willingly to share that fact with the world.
"Listen! You are...Rayman?" Rayman nodded. "Rayman. I am...Maleus!" Told the creature excited to Rayman. "I will tell you my history, and that of the world. Once, planets were simply that. Planets. Nothing more, nothing less. No living beings existed. Only simple bodies of stone, earth, and what else, inside an unlimited space. This unlimited space was filled with energy, and while technically not unlimited, it continued to expand at a rapid rate. It still does. This beings of energy created planets, and inhabited those. Over time, due to evolution, they slowly became creatures. Like, for example, Glute's. These creatures were formed by red energy, and eventually lost most contact with the energy. The energy, which is called a Lum by the people inhabiting this planet, sometimes didn't evolution into other creatures though. However, let's first explain what this energy is. First, only the red energy, Red Lums if you wish, existed. It could slowly changed into lifeforms when it wanted, to populate the bodies hovering into the space. Planets. Some Red Lums transformed into Blue Lums, to allow the offsprings of the creatures to live. Red Lums contain life, and when in their purest form, will give you immortality. However, as offsprings are made, a part of the Red Lum is transferred to the offspring. The Red Lum in the offspring loses most of its power, it only grants life. For how long, that is another question. Without Blue Lums, the offspring would die in seconds. Blue Lums give breath, and other vital things to lifeforms. It's only known purpose nowadays is giving air though. For this creatures to live, they needed balance. Gravity, peach, things like that. Purple Lums granted that, but in the present, they have been heavily mutated and aren't needed for those things anymore. Someone entirely made of energy, Lums, may use them to manipulate certain aspects though, like movement and time. Everyone could live, but Red Lums, Blue Lums, and Purple Lums together somehow caused the appearance of certain unintentional things, like emotions, or weather. Lifeforms didn't know how to handle love, anger, they didn't understand what it was. Some lifeforms still don't, like Chewysaurusses. To counter this however, Yellow Lums were created. They would, along with Purple Lums, keep everything in balance. More so, they would work as shields, protecting the balance. From these scattered Yellow Lums, the Heart of the World was eventually formed. Keeping the power of the Yellow Lums in one place greatly amplified its effect. Everyone was at peach, hatred simply couldn't exist. Many believe that Mister Dark destroyed the Heart of the World by himself, but it really was an accident. An accident that destroyed the balance of the world, for the Yellow Lums were protecting the balance. Creatures became maddened, fueled by anger and hatred. Some of the more pure creatures, like Ray's or fairies, weren't affected by this, but others did. Like Mister Dark. Green Lums are merely evolutioned Red Lums. Red Lums had overtime lost their capability of creating life. They still could give it back though, provided that the one who would receive it was still alive. They also could still change into other lums, as was proven by André, but eventually their was the need for Green Lums to give life back. They again couldn't create life, but it could bring back life. Only to the purer creatures though. It was the closest thing to the former Red Lums. So, life existed, and everything was well. The Lums were gradually disappearing however, and the moment they did, a massive change would happen through the world. As can be seen on Earth, the planet were they first disappeared. Thus, a few Lums merged to create a godlike being. Polokus, to slowly prepare the world, to keep it into balance. He represented the good, the light. But that upset the balance, so a few other Lums merged, and created me. Maleus. I represented the darker side, the evil side, if you wish. Remember though, evil is a relative concept, I am not evil, like those robot pirates. Speaking about them, the Robot Pirates came from a planet much like the Earth, but a much more advanced one. One that is now reduced to dust, due to atomic warfare, cybernetic revolutions, things you wouldn't understand, Rayman. They, like the people living on Lumless planets, don't rely on Lums anymore, and as such, can't use them too. Polokus and I sort of ruled the world, but we realized we would eventually die. Well, not really die, but it's sort of the same. Except that we could wake up when asked. So, we created a heir, to say it so. Jano. Unfortunately, the Heart of the World exploded at nearly the same moment, and Mister Dark rose to power. Jano was affected by this, possibly because he wasn't even 30 seconds old, and he turned evil. Sort of. He retreated in a cave, I've heard, and let's nearly no one near him. Inside he's a good guy though. However, instead of creating a single heir, we created a whole race dedicated to protecting the world. The Teensies. They have limited godlike powers. Besides us, the Lums created other species that would watch over the world. The species closest to the Lums, simply solid forms of them, are Electoons. Some of them have changed to Antitoons when the Heart of the World shattered, and they still hide in the depths of the world. Then, there are the fairies, Betilla and Ly being 2 of them, and the Magician is simply a male version of the fairies. The last, but the most important, are the Ray's. The While the Electoons are the closest thing to a normal Lum, it are the Ray's which are capable of using the Lums. Long ago, everyone was able to do so, but now only the Ray's can. It is true that for example the Fairies can create special Lums, which aren't really Lums, but energy spheres which can give the user special powers. You've received quite a few of those. All seemed well. However, I became more and more dark, and although it was simply in my nature, Polokus imprisoned me inside this mountain. For this, I hate him. I slowly lost my powers, my memories, my will to live, and when the Heart of the World shattered, I lost all of them. As I've said, I can't die, nor can Polokus. You, the Electoons, and maybe Jano, also can't. Those 3 species each are in their respective ways the closest thing to Lums, although the Electoons are considered to truly be teh closest, as I've explained. The robot pirates invaded this mountain body, slaughtering many creatures, Knaaren descendants, which have chosen to live in these mountains instead of beneath the desert. I was able to stop them, with my reduced power. I fear that this has reduced my power for ever, and I was recreating my power on this throne, one much like the one of Polokus, as you've probably noticed. I fear I'll only be as powerful as you are, maybe slightly more, though. When you destroyed the thin rock barrier above me, this place was once again connected to the outer world. As such, my throne was able to gather more energy, and thus I received more energy. Before you arrived here, I didn't remember this whole story. I know how to beat these new pirate robots. At least, I think I do. But as I've said, my powers are still weak. I can't leave these mountains, I have to gather energy here. And even then, I need even more energy. You have awoken Polokus, I believe? Then you're a true warrior. A hero, perhaps. I also have 4 masks, hidden around the world. Bring them to me, to restore my energy, to fully awake my powers, memories, and everything. Perhaps, I can fight with Polokus one more time. But do understand, I hate him with so much hatred, no one could possibly feel so much hatred. And still, I don't wish him dead, or harm...Go now, get my masks." With those words, Maleus jumped back on his throne, created a portal, like Polokus did, and Rayman disappeared. Then, Maleus slept again...

I will admit that some of the sentence formatting is a little strange here and there, but overall, it's actually written pretty well, and it's not a bad story either. :)

Yes, the story is good, but there is the inappropriate use of apostrophes.

Why? Text between " is what people say, and between ' what is written somewhere, or what people are thinking.

Oh...So, tree's are trees, etc. And what about possessions, like Rayman's toys?

Well, this isn't the whole chapter, but I felt I had to post it. Polokus made me do it, I swear! Chapter titles will sort of explain what the chapter is about. However, since the good guys and the bad guys usually do something different, sometimes, there will be 2 chapter titles, like now. The first one is of the good guys, the second one of the bad guys.

-----Chapter 2: Beneath a Dream & Dark's Legacy -----

-On another pink beach, outside the huge mountain body (which are called the Colossus Mountains)-

Rayman appeared just outside the huge mountain body, on a pink beach, near some water. He could see an island far away, but the water contained piranha's and other hostile lifeform. 'How am I going to find the masks now? I thought Maleus would teleport me to a sanctuary, or wherever his masks are. Unless one is here...' Thought Rayman. He looked around, and while the beach was a bit larger then the previous one, there was no way to escape. On one side, the mountain stood tall, and on the other, piranha's were waiting to drown him, or simply eat him. He searched for an opening in the mountain, but there wasn't one. 'Great.' He thought. Then he heard a faint buzzing sound, which slowly became louder. Bzzzit flew towards him with his boat.
"Rrraymannn! What arrre you doinggg herrre?"
"Bzzit! What are YOU doing here?" Asked Rayman, with a happy smile on his face. Bzzzit looked troubled.
"That island therrre is the Lost Island. I ferrry people frrrom arrround towarrrds the island, as you know."
"Is that the Lost Island? But, I've already visited the sanctuary there. Surely there isn't another mask hidden in it?" Asked Rayman, more to himself then to Bzzzit.
"A mask? I don't know wherrre you arrre talking about. But some pirrrates mentioned that therrre was something special in a sanctuary on the island, when I was still imprrrisoned in the Bayou." Then, suddenly, Bzzzit began to cry.
"Hey! What's wrong buddy?"
"It is so terrrible! The pirates have imprrrisoned many mosquitos, I am one of the few that arrre free! Please! You have to frrree them!" Shouted Bzzzit in anger and sadness.
"Of course I will. Where are they?"
"In the forrrests, on the otherrr side of this waterrr. Nearrrly all mosquitos live therrre! Help them!"
"Well, take me to the forests then!" Rayman jumped into the boat, and faster then ever, Bzzzit took him to the forests. "Ah, the Dream Forest. A wonderfull place, although a little less wonderfull when Mister Dark was here." Said Ryman, reliving (mostly) happy memories of his time here. He jumped of the boat.
"I don't know wherrre exactly my frrriends arrre, find them, please! I'll wait herrre forrr you!" Said Bzzzit, Rayman looked one last time at Bzzzit, and then ran of, into the forests.

-The Dream Forest-

The forests were stuffy, a thick, hot, semi transparant mist hung through the whole forest, trees towered over each other, blocking the suns, and still, the suns managed to lighten the place. Hot, orange lightrays fell through layers of trees. Rayman felt as if he'd choke every second. Bushes, colourfull flowers, and plums were everywhere, as well as strange sounds made by unknown creatures. Birds could sometimes be seen, but not a sight of mosquito's, or a prison. Rayman had never been here, and he was thankfully for that. What a horrible, sultry place. After cutting through thousands of trees, with sweat on his whole body, having walked for what felt like a thousand years, but what only was like half an hour, Rayman arrived at a small open place. So small, it was only 5 meters large, and probably more then 4 meters were occupied by a small wooden structure. A primitive wooden box with plants and trees sticking through it. An ancient relic of Razorbeard's invasion. None the less, maybe this rotten structure served as a prison, after all, it was nearly unreachable. Rayman crawled into it, which also was nearly impossible, and promptly fell through the floor. Just when he put one hand on the rotten floor, it fell apart, revealing a very long shaft with thorny vines sticking out of the walls. And Rayman fell right in it.

-Picture City-

A white, classic looking opera house, with pencils and other decorations, had been remade into a prison camp by the new robot pirates. They crash landed with their pods all over the world, and immediately began taking prisoners, and destroying the planet. The Loomy's, descendants of the Ray's, which were watching the opera show that was playing when the invasion began, were all imprisoned and kept inside the building once the new pirate robots appeared. The Loomy's liked to watch or play in opera shows, theaters, cartoons, that kind of things. Back when the Heart of the World first exploded, they believed they were whatever they were currently doing. Thus, Loomy's with space helmets began to fly around on frying pans, pirates began to construct pirate ships and terrorize the seas, and all of them were lead by Space Mama. A few Loomy's, mostly clowns, were imported from Picture City to the Candy Chateau, to serve as guards there. Loomy's are funny, cheeky, loyal people which don't know anything about shame. Some might think they are crazy, and that is perhaps true, but in a good way.
However, no traces remain of their fun spirit, with pirate robots patrolling through Picture City, using the pencils as gallows for anyone who dares to even breath too hard. This new invasion was much more horrible then anything that ever happened. Random Loomy's were sent to detention centers, as the pirates called it. In these centers, horrifying things happened to anyone who was sent in. The pirates continually experimented with the Loomy's, and other creatures, and even had various contests about who could research the most gruesome, horrifying thing. Therefor, pirate robots had began trying to take over the Candy Chateau, where Mister Dark's tools lay waiting for those who could reach them. Never had any being entered the Candy Chateau, it was full of traps, strange magic, and dark abominations. Mister Dark had teleported Rayman inside the Chateau, thus even Rayman didn't know anything about those traps. And now, the pirate robots were sending everything they could spare towards the Chateau. Robots and slaves alike, and yet no one had reached the Chateau. And even if they had, the insides of the Chateau surely contained even deadlier traps, and even darker creatures. It was the best, that no one would ever reach the Chateau. But good things never last.

-Prison Camp 316 "Thorny Torture"-

Rayman lay on a wooden floor. He opened his eyes, and instantly closed them. He felt dizzy, weak, and everything hurted when he tried to move. He opened his eyes again, but only slightly this time. The thorny vines had shot out of the wooden shaft just when Rayman fell through it, thus they hadn't actually hurt Rayman. However, Rayman couldn't even see the shaft, so much vines were blocking were there. He looked around, and besides a few rotten planks (is that actually an English word?), there was no exit or something. The wooden room, in which Rayman lay, was completely empty, and very small. It was only 3 meters large, Rayman guessed. He slowly stood up, blinked a few times, and fell his strength returning to him. Then he heard something, a buzzing sound, but not the buzzing sound of mosquitos. He heard the buzzing sound of a small engine...

-Prison Ship "Destiny"-

Admiral Sharpteeth sat in his chair, behind his bureau. He looked like Razorbeard, but was slightly taller, his moustache was much shorter, and beneath it, 4 sharp shimmering teeth were visible. Further, instead of a hat, he had a few spines growing out of his head. His eyes were steel blue instead of yellow, and his white body with red stripes was white with blue stripes. He had both of his feet, but one hand was replaced by a hook. His whole body was a blindly shimmering grey. 2 badly bruised Teensie's came walking in. They were fried instantly by 2 electric charges released from Sharpteeth's hook.
"Who dares disturb me?" He asked annoyed. Everytime someone wanted to speak to Sharpteeth, he had to send in 2 Teensie's. These Teensie's role was simple, to get killed. After all, there were far too many Teensie's. In fact, there were far too many creatures. They all needed to die, and Sharpteeth was intending to do just that. Then, a Henchman 800 "Grunt" came in.
"Your horribleness. We have captured most of the wanted creatures. Globox, Ly -" Began the Henchman 800 "Grunt".
"What about Rayman?" Shouted Sharpteeth angrily.
"Your furiousness, he is still free, but -" Began the Henchman 800 "Grunt" again. Those words would be his last words, as Sharpteeth quickly fired 6 electrical charges at the unucky robot, jumped from his chair, and jumped a few times on the corpse of the robot.
"YOU INCOMPETENT FOOOOOOOOOOLS!!!" Shouted Sharpteeth so loudly, nearby creatures would have gone deaf. "CAPTURE." Jump. "RAYMAN." Jump. "NOOOOOOOOOOW!!!" Huge jump. Sharpteeth jumped right through the corpse of the robot, and fell. "AAAAAAAAAARGH!!!"

-Picture City-

Yet again, an expedition force had arrived. 2 damaged Henchman 800's, 4 baby Globoxes, and 16 sick, tortured Loomy's. The Loomy's desperately wanted to die, they couldn't take their torture and pain anymore. They rushed towards the Candy Mountain, on which Candy Country was created. On which the Candy Chateau stood, casting dark shadows to those beneath. First, 2 Loomy's exploded by a Surpirse Bomb, dropped by a clown in the time of Mister Dark. These Surprise Bombs sometimes didn't go of, and thus still lay half burried in the ground. This one had apparantly fallen down the Candy Mountain. The baby Globoxes were terrified, but the 2 damaged Henchman 800's, left overs from Razorbeard's forces, threw them all against the mountain. After a sick splattering (is that the right word?) sound, blood dripped from the mountain, and 4 baby Globoxes lay motionless, dead, at the beginning of it. The damaged Henchman 800's looked at each other, and produced a strange sound, which probably was a laugh. 3 Loomy's had began climbing the mountain, but a pencil shot out from it, empaling one of the Loomy's. The pencil shot back in the mountain, and the dead Loomy fell on top of the other 2. They both died from the fall.
Needless to say, at the end, no one survived the trip. 1 of the 2 damaged Henchman 800 managed to reach the Candy Country by using its jetpacks. The other did so too, but its jetpack just stopped working while in mid air, and the damaged Henchman 800 crashed and exploded. The surviving damaged Henchman 800 landed on a strange piece of candy, which launched hum upwards, like a spring (I don't know if that's the right word, but the translators say it is, in Dutch it is springveer). Obviously, that robot crashed, and exploded, too. 2 Hawk 900 "Harpy's", which were watching over the expedition force, reported the news to one of the robot pirate camp in Picture City. Their, a robot pirate send a Loomy to Razorbeard with the news. The Loomy however was killed by some guards, thinking it was escaping. Thus, a damaged, old, and rusty Henchman 800 was sent by his superiors towards Sharpteeth. He was put into a Hawk 300 "Traveler", a damaged and rusty one, by 2 other Henchman 800's, and promptly left Picture City. The "Traveler's" controls had been overrided, allowing only the commander of the robot pirates in Picture City to control it. Thus, the fate of the poor damaged Henchman 800 and the rusty Hawk 300 "Traveler" were sealed. They would both be destroyed by Sharpteeth. Hopefully after the damaged Henchman 800 had told him of the latest expedition.

-Prison Camp 316 "Thorny Torture"-

Rayman crouched in a corner. Suddenly, a part of the wall was blown up, and a mine cart with an engine mounted on it emerged. On it was a Henchman 800 "Thorn". It looked around, but the wood from the wall had partly landed on top of Rayman. Seeing that there was no intruder, the "Thron" shot out his vines towards the shaft, and the vines covering the shaft redraw within the wall. The "Thorn" used his vines to climb out of the long shaft. When Rayman removed the wood, the vines covering the shaft immediately sprung to life, and tried to reach Rayman. Rayman cast a quick glance, but the Henchman 800 "Thron" wasn't visible anymore. 'He could certainly climb fast.' Rayman thought. Then, Rayman looked at what was behind the destroyed wall: A mine rail. Rayman turned the mine cart around, jumped on it, and put the engine on. He couldn't see anything, only darkness, but the ride was fairly short, and except for 1 large turn to the left, the rail was exactly straight, without any strange things. The mine cart stopped at the end of the rail (obviously), in a larger, but still wooden room which was lit by 2 torches that were in front of every door. There were 4 doors, one at each side of the room. Rayman walked a bit forward, and when he was in the middle of the room, an alarm did go off.
"Warning. Intruder alert. All avaible personal, report to your commander. Check up your weapon in the armoury. Terminate the intruder. Thank you for your service." Sounded a voice from the alarm system. Immediately, footsteps could be heard. Before Rayman could even react, a very rusty looking Henchman 800, which had lost a good part of its body, appeared from the door in front of Rayman.
"Hello Raybot, I am a failed robot. I have trouble remembering things, and am a bit senlie too, I think. There were other things wrong with me, but I can't remember. I think I am supposed to catch Rayman now, so could you please tell me where he is? He hasn't stolen plum juice, so I don't see why I have to catch him, but well, I'm half blind. My cannon is defect too! I can't even capture that Rayman creature! But yeah, my work is to watch over the plum machine, filling in thousands of papers, so I don't need it anyway. Should I amputate my cannon, or my whole arm? And what should I do with my hook? Eat it? Oh, no, I've already tried that. Did you know that I was given emotions? Yeah, in the Iron Mountains, huge factories and research centers have been built. I was made there. I didn't knew you were finished, when I was created, you were still in production, but - Then Rayman decided to interrupt the robot.
"I've seen Rayman. He ran through that door." Said Rayman, pointing to the door that was to the left of him. The robot left without saying anything else, leaving Rayman wondering where the robot was talking about. Rayman decided to go through the door where the robot pirate had come from. Behind the door was a hallway, with crates piled up high, and a door on the other end of the hallway. Rayman aopened a few crates, and inside those crates was either plum juice or a plum. Rayman ran through the hallway, through the door there, and entered a huge room. This huge room was nearly fully occupied by a giant, metal machine which blew steam in every possible direction, shook so hard that Rayman was sure it could explode any second, and had cracks and burnmarks on it. Some metal also fell of every few seconds. At the very right side of the room, a small bureau and a chair were positioned, with various papers on it, and a pencil. How a robot would use a pencil, Rayman didn't know.

-Iron Mountain, Research Center "Busy Brain"-

A robotical Loomy walked through a blinding white hallway. The Loomy looked like the Loomy's which threw water balls in the time of Mister Dark, but of course, this one was transformed into a robot. He entered the room at the end of the hallway, the room of the boss.
"Mister Know-It-All, we have received orders from Sharpteeth." Said the Loomy to his boss. He saw that a recently made Gorilla Pirate with brains was already in the boss' office.
"Smartass, leave." Ordered the boss. The Gorilla Pirate, apparantly named Smartass, left. "What did you say, Wiseguy?" Asked the boss, called Know-It-All.
"Mister, we have received new orders from Sharpteeth." Said the robotical Loomy called Wiseguy, again. "We must design something that could enter the Candy Chateau, and take away all of the treasures there."
"Well, we already have that! We have Speyes, which can see through all nearby material, Ultra Vision, which has nightview, infraredview, and much more, and a ton more of such devices. We have Replacers, which can teleport things, upgraded Grolgoth's, what does he want?" Ordered the boss.
"He wants exactly what I've said. He said nothing more, at least, more wasn't recorded, so unless he acciden -" Began Wiseguy.
"SILENCE! I HEARD YOU THE FIRST TIME! If you can't give me an answer, you'll be disassembled and serve as a jigsaw for our batch of babies, creatures from the Earth." The boss angrily pressed a red button.
"Y...Yes, mister." Said Wiseguy frightened. Then, a very large Teensie walked in, and began to disassemble Wiseguy right away, in the office of the boss.

Here is also a list of enemies, and a few allies, maybe it's usefull. About the Mercenbot's, I don't know if they'll appear in this story, and if they do, maybe they'll be Henchmen and not Mercenbot (originally, the Monarch, Maleus, had reprogrammed captured robot pirates to fight for him, to protect him, those robots were called the Mercenbot's, a combination of mercenary and robot).

Damaged Henchman 800
Appearance: Red, damaged Henchman 800. Some have lost their hook, others have a hole in their body, etcetera. Those without hook can still attack by swinging their arm at you
Red Henchman 800's which were used by Razorbeard, but they were so damaged that they basically can be ignored. They fire slower, move slower, are less accurate, and have less health then normal Henchman 800's. They do sometimes have different weapons though, but that's mostly because they were so badly damage, their original weapon simply couldn't work.

Henchman 800 "Grunt"
Appearance: Red Henchman 800
Slightly updraged version of the red Henchman 800's used by Razorbeard. There were so many (destroyed, but reactivated) of them that they still serve as the main enemy, although slightly updraged. They have various weapons, from a single bullet, to 3 bullets which spread, to a flying bomb, to a high explosive barrel.

Henchman 800 "Scorcher"
Appearance: Yellow Henchman 800, which instead of a hook has a flamethrower
Upgraded Henchman 800 which's hook is replaced by a flamethrower (although one that fires in bursts and not continously, like that of the Henchman 800 "Purger, it also doesn't kill you instantly most of the times, but instead you only lose like half of your health you had in the beginning of the first level per attack), and which's cannon launches big barrels which are on fire. These barrels can be fired quite far, and work like the ones seen used by the purple unchman 800 in the Fairy Glade in Rayman 2 on the PC. However, the barrels leave a small area of fire that will last for 5 seconds and that will damage you if you walk into it.

Henchman 800 "Purger"
Appearance: Orange Henchman 800
Upgraded Henchman 800 which's cannon is replaced by a flamethrower. They can only attack over a short range, but they will instantly kill you, most of the time.

Henchman 800 "Zapper"
Appearance: Blue Henchman 800
Updraged Henchman 800 which's normal cannon fires slightly heat seeking, fast traveling electric charges.

Henchman 800 "Blaster"
Appearance: Green Henchman 800
Updraged Henchman 800 which's normal cannon fires a laser which instantly hits its target, but you'll hear a zooming sound for 1 second before it fires.

Henchman 800 "Skyline"
Appearance: Red Henchman 800 with an engine on his back, like in Rayman M / Arena when he floats
Upgraded Henchman 800's which can fly very fast, or simply hover above the ground, ready to escape when needed. They can also fly lightning fast towards you, so that they can kill you with their hook. Skyline's employ various weapons, just like Grunt's.

Henchman 800 "Mole"
Appearance: Red Henchman 800 which has, instead of a hook, a giant drill
Upgraded Henchman 800's which can easily travel through mountains or other areas with their large drills. They can easily ambush you, and their drills will kill you instantly...

Henchman 800 "Thorn"
Appearance: Brown, damaged Henchman 800 which has instead of arms, hundreds of throny vines all around his body
These Henchman 800's live in, or around forests which are nearly never visited by anyone. They can only attack you if you are moderately close to them, their vines will then try to strangle you, so quickly run away. The vines will stay stretched towards your previous position for 2 seconds, and then they'll retreat and move over the body of the Henchman 800 again. In these 2 seconds, you can attack the Henchman 800, which has as much health as a damaged Henchman 800 (see above). However, when the vines surround its body, you can't damage it.

Hawk 100 "Keeper"
Appearance: A grey, clumsy helicopter without rockets or guns, and a bit more square ball like instead of a true helicopter (hard to explain)
A new series of robots, this is the first Hawk type, it hovers above the ground, and moves slowly. It has however much health, and has various attacks. It can spit out 3 heat seeking bombs which move relatively slow, but it can also fire normal bullets, 1 every second, which travel faster then normal bullets. They are too heavy to retreat back into the skies once defeat is imminent, so they'll fight until they are destroyed.

Hawk 300 "Traveler"
Appearance: A cross between the "Keeper" and the "Harpy"
A flying transport. Fast, and well armored, only a single pirate robot can fit inside. Hardly. This is used for nothing but transporting, and it thus doesn't have any weapons or something.

Hawk 900 "Harpy"
Appearance: A grey, compact, sleek helicopter without rockets or guns, a combination of a helicopter and a jet actually
It flies very fast, and is quite small. It fires small bullets which have a strange white glow, and they are fired very fast. Per half second 1 bullet will be fired, non stop, and not all exactly aimed at you, making it a bit harder to escape, as some are aimed just above you or such. Fortunately, they don't have much health, but they can and will evade your shots. You have to trick them into flying to one side, and then fire a shot there lightning fast. What's worse, once they only have a quarter of their health left, they will fly up into the sky, and attack you from there for a few seconds. They are impossible to hit when they are so high, so you'll have to wait for them to return to the ground.

Despot
Appearance: A metallic grey / dark white Henchman 800, but has grey Knaaren like arms, legs, and a head.
These organisms (they are not robots, they merely use a Henchman 800 body) lead their own Mercenbot groups, which are trying to escape from the new pirate robots (they destroy everything, including Razorbeard's pirate robots). They call theirselves Mercenbots, and they work as mercenaries. Rayman has a large price put on his head, so they're trying to capture him too, although not actively. Despot's can jump over long ranges, have much health, can instantly kill you with their arms, crush you with their legs, or simply kill you with normal bullets fired by Henchman 800 "Grunt's". The special Despot's that the Monarch sends to fight you will have all the attacks that a normal Despot has, but also the attacks of the Mercenbots that they lead. The Pirate Despot will thus have everything a Despot has, and everything a "Pirate has", plus a health boost.

Monarch
Appearance: like Polokus, but he doesn't have any clothing, and his arms and legs are more Knaaren like, he also is a bit darker, and his eyes are dark blue / dark purple.
Well, simply read the first chapter for an explanation. :P

Mercenbot 800 "Techno"
Appearance: The grey / green skin of Henchman 800 in Rayman M for the PC
These Mercenbot's use a laser just like the Henchman 800 "Blaster". However, these Mercenbot's don't have a hook but 2 cannons, thus they will fire 2 lasers, which deal less damage, but have a much faster rate of fire. Now let's hope Rayman can dance...

Mercenbot 800 "Pirate"
Appearance: The brown / white skin of Henchman 800 in Rayman M for the PC, the skin you unlock by completeing various battles
These Mercenbot's are fast, can jump, and will attempt to dodge your shots, and due to the fact that they jump higher, and run faster, then most robots, they will likely succeed. Sometimes, they'll however jump into the water or something, but most of the times, you'll not be that luckily. These Mercenbot's can launch flying bombs at you, normal bullets, 3 bullets which spread, or high explosive barrels. And the whole time they are moving rapidly across the area.

Mercenbot 800 "Grinder"
Appearance: The brown / orange skin of Henchman 800 in Rayman M for the PC, the skin you unlock by comleteing various races
These Mercenbot's have much, much, much health. They are slow, but they will walk up to you and try to kill you with their shredder (which will kill you instantly), which they have instead of a hook. They can also use a drill like the Henchman 800 "Mole" can. Their cannon is only capable of firing normal bullets, although slightly slower then most other robots do.

Mercenbot 800 "Bushido"
Appearance: A black, smoother, sleeker, and slightly smaller Henchman 800
These Mercenbot's are very fast, can make theirselves invisible, and can teleport. They don't have much health, but are great at dodging your attacks, better then most others who can dodge. Instead of a hook, they have a ninja sword which has a greater range and instantly kills you, and their cannon fires ninja stars which deals slightly more damage and stuns you for 3 seconds.

Mercenbot 800 "Nightbringer"
Appearance: A black, matte Henchman 800
These Mercenbot's are slightly faster then normal Henchman 800's, and they fire and run slightly faster then those. Once destroyed, their metal hull will crumble and a dark spirit like thing will emerge. It looks like a cross between a skeletal chicken thingy and a black catterpillar. This spirit thingy will hover around the area and slowly transform into another Nightbringer, after 5 seconds. Before that time, you have to kill it by simply hitting it 1 time.

Just a note, I think this chapter is not really that good...But anyway, leave a note if you like it or if you didn't, and what you liked or didn't, you know the drill...

-----Chapter 3: Madness Erupts-----

-Prison Camp 316 "Thorny Torture"-

Rayman looked at the papers laying in front of him. Most of them contained useless information, like:

12 APRIL 1469

-6 PLUMS HAVE ARRIVED FROM THE HOODLUM HIDEOUT.
--COST: 60 TINGS

Then, Rayman looked at the computer, and skimmed through the files. After a few minutes, he opened the file "PRISONERS". To read the whole file would take days, but the most important parts were, according to Rayman, these:

19 JANUARY 1464

-137 SLAVES HAVE ARRIVED FROM THE DREAM FOREST.
-115 MOSQUITOS FROM THE ANGUISH LAGOONS.
-15 LIVINGSTONES (11 ADULT, 4 CHILDREN) FROM THE IRON MOUNTAINS.
-6 CATTERPILLARS FROM THE PINK PLANT WOODS.
-1 MINISAURUS FROM THE TIMBER WOOD

28 FEBRUARY 1964

CAPTURED CATTERPILLARS ARE SLOWLY TURNING DARKER (COLOR), LIGHTER (WEIGHT), AND TRANSPARANT. SOME EVEN BEGAN HOVERING. ALERT RESEARCH CENTER "ARTIFICAL INTELLIGENCE" AT THE FOOT OF THE IRON MOUNTAINS.

15 MAY 1964

19 CAPTURED CATTERPILLARS HAVE BROKEN OUT. THEY WERE TOTALLY BLACK, COULD FLY, MADE A STRANGE BUZZING SOUND, AND COULD FLY THROUGH VARIOUS OBJECTS INCLUDING THEIR CAGE BARS. THEY COULD CHANGE THEIR SHAPE TO SOME EXTENT. 1 HENCHMAN 800 TURNED MAD AND QUICKLY CRASHED AFTER CONTACT WITH ONE OF THE CATTERPILLARS. BULLETS GO PARTLY THROUGH THEM. WHEN HIT, CATTERPILLARS FALL APART AND DISAPPEAR, SOME SPLIT APART IN 2 BLACK BALLS WHICH ACT LIKE CATTERPILLARS. ALERT ALL RESEARCH CENTERS, WARN NEARBY OUTPOSTS, ALERT RAZORBEARD.

4 OCTOBER 1464

298 SLAVES HAVE ARRIVED FROM THE DREAM FOREST.
-146 MOSQUITO FROM THE ANGUISH LAGOONS.
-73 GLUTES FROM THE WANDERWOOD FOREST, THE CLEARLEAF FOREST, AND THE IRON MOUNTAIN.
-33 LIVINGSTONES (21 ADULTS, 12 CHILDREN) FROM THE WANDERWOOD FOREST AND THE SWAMPS OF FORGETFULNESS.
-31 CATTERPILLARS FROM THE SHINING GLADE, .
-7 MATUVUS FROM THE PINK PLANT WOODS AND THE CLEARLEAF FALLS.
-4 TRIBELLES FROM THE CLEARLEAF FALLS.
-2 SPIDERS FROM THE HOODLUM HIDEOUT.
-2 GREENBOTTLES FROM THE TIMBER WOOD

ONE OF THE GUARDS OVERHEARD ONE OF THE GLUTES TALKING ABOUT RAYMAN. AFTER INTERROGATION IT WAS REVEALED THAT RAYMAN HAD ACQUIRED THE FOURTH MASK. ALERT RAZORBEARD IMMEDIATELEY. THE GLUTES WERE PREVIOUSLY FREED BY RAYMAN FROM OUR MINES. THEIR MOTHER RAN AWAY WITH MOST OF HER KIDS UPON NOTICING US.

7 MAY 1469

37 MOSQUITOS HAVE ARRIVED FROM THE ANSGUISH LAGOONS.
BZZZIT MANAGED TO ESCAPE. ANOTHER MOSQUITO HAS BEEN KILLED. 2 HENCHMAN 800'S WERE DESTROYED BY RED SPIKEY FRUIT FROM THE MOSQUITOS. THE FRUIT HAS BEEN COLLECTED AND CONTAINED. THE MOSQUITOS HAVE BEEN PUT WITH THE OTHER 157. RUMOURS ABOUT BZZZIT KNOWING SOMETHING ABOUT POWERFULL MASKS. INVESTIGATE THE LOST ISLAND ASSAP.

'So, Bzzzit knows something about a mask on the Lost Island?' Thought Rayman. 'Well, the Sanctuary of Water and Ice is there, and there was a mask. But maybe there's another one there too. I've got to ask Bzzit after I've freed his friends. Some mosquitos did arrive here, maybe they're still there.' Rayman ran away, as there wasn't anything to do in the room.

-Picture City-

A metal box fell down from the sky, landing exactly next to the opera house. It collapsed, and out of it came a huge robot. A small door inside the robot was opened, and a Livingstone child jumped from the robot on the ground. 2 Henchman 800 "Grunt's" had already arrived.
"This package was sent by the "Busy Brain" Research Center. It contains the newest, deadliest robot ever made. The Ares. You will use it to break into the Candy Chateau, and steal anything you can find. It can look through nearby objects, detect invisible things, detect magic, jump, run, fly, grab, climb, it can even do a sommersault. But, this cannot even begin to describe the greatness of the Ares. The only problem is, someone needs to control it. Someone like you will do that. The Ares will clean the path for an expedition force created by Sharpteeth himself, which will arrive shortly. Thank you for using the "Busy Brain" Research Center." The Livingstone was about to press a button attached to his arm, when he suddenly remembered something. "And read the manual." The Livingstone walked inside the Ares, and threw a manual which was about as large as a door, and as thick as a PC, down from the Ares on top of an unlucky Henchman 800 "Grunt". It promptly fell apart. "Sorry." Said the Livingstone, not caring the slightest. He also jumped down from the Ares, and pressed the button on his arm. He disappeared, leaving the lone Henchman 800 "Grunt" watching his destroyed comrade.

-Candy Chateau-

In a nearly pitch black, circular room, the air visibly moved. Something had awakened. A slightly dark, but nearly totally transparant spirit. Its castle was in danger. No one could ever possibly get in, or so the spirit thought. But it wasn't aware of the recent developments of the world, having been asleep, for lack of a better word, for something like 10 years. Maybe something, or someone, was able to get in the castle. That someone would probably be Rayman. Rayman...How the spirit loated that name. But it had other things to do now. Suddenly, the 4 torches in the room were lighted, revealing strange markins and pictures around the whole room, on the walls, floor, and ceiling, in all kinds of colors. The spirit flew through its stone cuffin, in which it had rested for something like 10 years, and looked around. It knew about every trap, anything, both inside and outside the Candy Chateau. After all, it had created those itself.

-Prison Camp 316 "Thorny Torture"-

Back into the main room, were Rayman first arrived, stood 2 Henchman 800 "Grunt's".
"Termination program enga-" Started one of them, but then Rayman slammed his fist against its head, which instantly broke off. With his other hand he threw energy spheres, at the other robot. Dents and scratches became visible, the robot stumbled backwards due to the force of the energy spheres. The robot brought up his cannon when Rayman charged up a bigger energy sphere. Just before the robot could fire its cannon, the large golden energy sphere collided with the robot, which broke apart in a thousand pieces. The other robot was stumbling across the room, firing his cannon every few seconds. It couldn't see, hear, or smell anything anymore, so it was completely helpless. Rayman pulled its cannon of, and crushed the body of the robot with it. 'That was easy.' Thought Rayman. He now walked through the door to the right of him.
He was again in a long hallway, but this time, explosive barrels, powder kegs, and explosives made of plum juice lay all over the floor. On the wall hung various rifles, hooks, cannons, shields, clothes, and other accesoires. Nearly immediately after Rayman entered the hall, a Henchman 800 "Thron" ran through the door on the other side. It ran towards Rayman, and its throny vines flung towards Rayman, scratching him heavily. Rayman immediately jumped back, and noticed that the vines were still trying to reach him. He fired a few energy spheres at the robot, some hitting its body, dealing damage, but some hit the vines, or simply missed. All this time, the robot kept slowly walking towards Rayman. The vines shot out again, ut this time, Rayman rolled away. He quickly stood up, next to the robot, and slammed his fist into its side. It collapsed against the wall, the vines tried to reach Rayman for a few seconds, but they eventually died too. Rayman looked at the various weapons and clothes while walking through the hall, eventually reaching the door.
He entered a large circular room, with all kinds of weapons and armor everywhere. Along with much robots. 1 "Blaster", 1 "Zapper", 1 "Scorcher", and 1 "Grunt". 'Great.' Thought Rayman, before launching energy spheres all over the place. Most of them hit, and some even hit some explosives, damaging the nearby robots even more. The "Zapper's" side, which was standing at the left side of the room near a large powder keg, was instantly blackened by the fire from the exploded powder keg. But it wasn't destroyed. It immediately retaliated, it launched an electric charge, which Rayman avoided. The "Scorcher" had already launched a barrel, which was of coruse set on fire, at Rayman. At the same time, the "Grunt", which was very close to Rayman, approached Rayman, trying to pierce Rayman's body with its hook. Rayman rolled away, the "Grunt" kept moving, and the barrel exploded. The "Grunt's" cannon was blown away, as was one of its legs. Its body was nearly totally blackened, and was on fire. It fell down on the floor, unable to walk or even stand anymore. The "Blaster", which stood at the left back of the room, fired its laser at Rayman. The laser hit, and destroyed, half of the "Grunt's" head, but Rayman rolled away again. Right into the arms of the badly burned "Zapper". It had crashed, and was still on fire, and now it ran towards Rayman. But the "Scorcher" helped Rayman again, a flaming barrel landed right next to the "Zapper", and this time, it blew the whole "Zapper" throug the wall. It was destroyed. Rayman launched a few energy spheres at the "Blaster", and its laser cannon was badly damaged. Rayman ran past the nearly destroyed "Grunt", but it still had one eye, and its hook. It grabbed Rayman's foot, and Rayman tripped. After quickly launching one of his fists at the "Grunt", which caused its body to be blown away in every direction. But Rayman still lay on the floor, dangerously close to the "Blaster", which was charging up its laser. The "Scorcher" was preparing to launch a flaming barrel. And Rayman knew he couldn't stand up in time.

-Candy Chateau-

Very slowly, the spirit was getting less transparant, and more black. Soon, it would be a Ray again. But first, there were other things that should be done. The spirit disappeared, leaving only a few black particles behind, which gradually disappeared as well. The spirit reappeared into another circular room with strange markings on the wall, floor, and ceiling. However, these markings were all either a light glowing blue or a deep dark blue. The spirit appeared into a throne, shaped like an eagle. It discovered that it already had enough power to summon its mighty scepter. It could even touch the scepter. It slammed the scepter into a hole at the front of the throne. Immediately, all kinds of blue particles appeared, and surrounded the scepter, the spirit, and the hole. The blue markings lit up, and then a lightning flash, which came from nowhere, slammed into the spirit. Then, it was all over, and the room was dark once again. The spirit however, which still only consisted of black particles which slowly turned more black and less transparant, glowed all kinds of blue. Actually, each particle glowed blue, and each particle shot blue lightning to the nearest particle. Slowly, it all merged, and the blue glow gradually disappeared. A buzzing blue energy core had been formed inside the spirit, granting the spirit unmatched power. Even more then he previously had. He now was sure thankfull for his upbringing, all alone in the Desert of the Knaaren.

-Prison Camp 316 "Throny Torture"-

It was pure luck. The "Blaster", being heavily damaged, blew up its own cannon when trying to launch a laser beam. The "Blaster" stumbled backwards, and fell apart. What was even better, was that the "Scorcher" was blown against the wall due to the shockwave. As was Rayman, but against a different wall. The flaming barrel burned the wood where Rayman lay just a second ago. However, the "Scorcher's" program had crashed when it slammed into the wall. The "Scorcher" began burning the whole place down with its flamethrower and barrel cannon alike. Rayman couldn't come close enough to use his fist, and his energy spheres were weakened so much by the intense heat, that the robot didn't even notice them. After a few seconds, it was so hot and the smoke was so thick, that Rayman ran back to the main hall, the robot, albeit very slowly, stopping everywhere to burn down everything, followed him.
Rayman ran through the only door he hadn't tried out yet, the door to the left of him. He again was in a long hallway, this time filled with cages with helpless beings, which he knew he couldn't save from the crazy robot. He ran through the hallway, feeling sad that he couldn't do anything for the creatures which were mindlessy shouting something like "HELP!" every few seconds. Rayman ran through the door, the robot still hadn't entered the hallway. Hundreds of doors were in front of Rayman, on each of the doors was a sign with text, showing what was inside. Catterpillars, Greenbottles, hundreds of creatures were imprisoned here. Rayman began running past the doors, quickly scanning what was behind the doors. Suddenly, a door opened and the damaged robot pirate, which thought Rayman was Raybot, walked into the hallway. It noticed Rayman.
"Hey, Raybot. I'm searching a plum, so I can amputate my eye. Or was it my arm? Anyway, do you have a washing machine? Oh wait, I was searching for a plum, wasn't I? I'm getting more and more dement with every single second!" Mumbled the robot pirate confused.
"But I've found Rayman! He's in the hallway, there, dressed as a robot pirate! A "Scorcher"!" Said Rayman, thinking quickly, and pointing towards the long hallway." The robot pirate immediately ran away, ready to destroy the crazed robot, or Rayman, as it thought. Rayman could only hope it would succeed. He then began rushing past the doors again, waiting for a sign with 'Mosquitos' on it. After a minute or so, he found it. He slammed his fists in the door, causing to break, but he wasn't prepared to meet his enemy.

Another metal box fell from the sky, on top of the lone root pirate which stood next to its destroyed comrade. Now they were both destroyed. Sharpteeth walked out of it.
"WHERE ARE MY ROBOTS? WHY AM I NOT HONORED AND BLESSED? I SHOULD BE WORSHIPPED LIKE A GOD!" Shouted Sharpteeth. He then noticed the head of 1 of the robot pirates beneath the metal pod, and grinned. He walked towards the Ares, and ordered one of his robots to read the manual, so that it could control the Ares, and use it to its full potential. In the mean time, Sharpteeth would torture, kill, or eat some slaves in the opera house.

The spirit, which was no spirit anymore, having regained all of is power, and even more, teleported itself to a large square room, with cuffins and torches everywhere. With a flick of his fingers, the torches were lit, and the stone cuffins opened. In those cuffins lay the rests of his most important servants, in one of them, for example, lay a giant red claw, and a brown, stone body. They would be excellent guardians. But before they were awakened, somethign even more important needed to be done. At the very back of the room was an altar with an opened ancient book on top if it. The Ray began preparing for the ritual. Soon, all hell would break loose. With his unmatched power, everything would be dark...Darker then ever...

The mosquitos, of varying colors and sizes, tried to fly away, but upon realizing that it was no robot who destroyed the door, they stayed in their prison to hear who this limbless creature was. Except for a few mosquitos, no one knew anything about Rayman. However, Rayman had met soem mosquitos in the Woods of Light, and in the Anguish Lagoon. And of course in Moskito's Nest, located inside the Anguish Lagoon. It was Moskito, which instantly flew towards Rayman.
"Rrraymannn, arrre you herrre to frrree us?" Demanded Moskito. "Orrr arrre you herrre to mock us, torrrturrre us, even kill us?"
"I'm here to free you all. But hurry, a crazed robot is probably on his way to burn you all!"
"Why should we believe you? Afterrr all, you nearrrly killed me..."
"But, that was because you first tried to kill me! And I know you're not a bad guy, you only acted like that because of Mister Dark, which had destroyed the Great Protoon."
"I don't know anything about a Grrreat Prrrotoon. But I do admit that I was a bit crrrazy, mislead by, Misterrr Darrrk you say?" Rayman nodded. After a few seconds, another mosquito spoke.
"Moskito, Rrrayman isn't a bad guy, he wants to help us all. I and my friends know him, he often played with us in the Woods of Light, he even came to ourrr homes in the Anguish Lagoon sometime. And, he even befrrriended a mosquito which trrried to kill him, that mosquito has been killed by the rrrobots."
"verrry well. But why are you frrreeing us?" Asked Moskito.
"Bzzzit asked me to do so, I didn't knew you were captured, but Bzzzit told me, so I decided to help you guys!" Said Rayman, not entirely truthfull.
"Shows what a frrriend you arrre. You didn't even rrrealize we were imprrrisoned..." Mumbled Moskito. However, Rayman noticed that the crazy robot had just entered the long hallway. The robot noticed Rayman too, and stopped burning everything to concentrate on Rayman. The mosquitos had already escaped from their prison, and noticed the robot too. They all began charging at it, and with their long noses they pierced quickly through the armor of the robot pirate. To Rayman, it looked as if they were maddened, furious monsters. But the mosquitos simply took their revenge, after all, many of their friends had died, and even more had been tortured, for years, or for days, it didn't matter. Only a few mosquitos were killed, the robot realized the new treath too late, and thus only had time to fry the 3 mosquitos which flew straight at his body. The rest flew too high, the robot simply didn't have enough time before it was ripped apart.

The Ray had finished the ritual, and the sky was pitch black. Both suns, both moons, and all of the stars, were all blackened for the time being. Lums slowly turned darker, split apart, merged with each other, and mutated. Only the yellow lums remained intact, but they all fled away. The other lums began morphing, mutating, and disappearing. But most of them turned into black lums. Purple lums were shattered, or displaced, and just like before, due to that, strange creatures began appearing everywhere. Existing ones turned mad, desperate, hopeless, and suicidial. The raw energy released from this huge mutation, was used by the Ray to strengthen his own power, and the power of his creatures. Slowly, creatures arose from their tombs. Like the hybrid between Mister Stone and Mister Skops, nicknamed "Tall Claw", or the 2 Space Mama Clones, nicknamed "Harpy I" and "Harpy II", and also the hybrid between Moskito and Mister Sax, nicknamed "Sound Poke". But they now had much more power. They were the ultimate war machines. Enough to at least capture Rayman.

Suddenly, a part of the ceiling collapsed on Rayman, and thick, thorny, agressive vines shot down. A part of the floor was also destroyed by vines which shot up, and suddenly grew thorns. The mosquitos began battling each other. Thousands of mosquitos were all over the place, and blood and body parts were splattered all over the place. Creatures began squeezing theirselves through their prison bars, or simply destroyed them, with unknown agility and aggresivity, and instantly joined the large war between the mosquitos. A blood free for all with more then thousands of creatures had erupted all over the place. And at the same time, the fire created by the robot seemed to get its own will. It burned down everything, leaving nothing more then ashes, in less then a second. And its goal was Rayman. The whole world had turned mad! The whole prison shook, and parts of the wall now also crumbled. Rayman ran, and jumped, over a collapsed wall, and used his hair to fly over the angry thorny vines beneath him, towards another broken wall so that he avoided the hallway in which all kinds of creatures were fighting. A vine catched his foot, but quickly retreated when a few energy spheres collided with it. Rayman reached the broken wall, and now was into the hallway directly behind the left door. All of the cages were shattered, or reduced to ashes. The fire was so intense, and in a few seconds the wood would all be reduced to ashes, leaving no way out of this underground complex. Rayman ran right through the fire, and slammed himself through the door, just as the whole ceiling collapsed, and the floor and walls were destroyed by rampaging vines which were quickly burned. But in the main room, it wasn't much better. The fire wasn't as violent or large here, Rayman only saw small patches of fire, but the vines had nearly covered the whole area. Rayman used his helicopter hair as much as he could, and fired energy spheres in every duirection, but multiple times he was drawn through thick layers of vines and fire before he managed to escape. He had blood and scratches all over his body, and nasty prickles were stuck in his body. But he managed to reach the room in which he entered, by pure luck. There was no fire there, but more then a million of vines. And they all closed in on him, surrounding him, imprisoning him. He was lost. Dead. There was no way he could escape from here.

Robots, having no emotion, weren't effected by simple things as harmony and balance, or the lack of it. Surely, they didn't know what was happening, and their slaves turned mad and thus were promptly killed, but they also didn't care much. So what if the sky is black, with no suns or moons or stars? So what if lums turn black, or mutate, or disappear, or merge, or split apart? Sharpteeth's only goal was to reach the Candy Chateau, and now he was even more determined to reach it, for he had seen black lightning and darkness spreading from it. Someone inside the Candy Chateau was responsible for this madness, and how could someone reach the insides of the Chateau if he, Sharpteeth, couldn't? His special expedition force consisted of prisoners which were even less then dust in Sharpteeth's opinion. He would simply sent them towards the Chateau, and hope they all die. And then, he would go with the Ares, and gain knowledge of unmatched and unlimited power. He wanted to go now, but the stupid Henchman hadn't even finished a sixteenth of the manual. But why would he, Sharpteeth, need a manual? He shot an electric charge right through the skull of the robot, for he read too slow, jumped into the Ares, and sent the slaves away. Rayman's best friend was bound to die...
