I'm pretty sure I've never seen a cover that had "Rayman 2: The Great Escape". Unless you're talking about the intro when you start up the game, then yes.spiraldoor wrote:Does anything happen when you collect all the Globoxes? And why do some copies of the game seem be called "Rayman 2 Forever", while some copies are called "Rayman 2: The Great Escape"?

Re: Finishing Rayman 2 Forever
Well the cover I upped on the Wiki was the European one and I'm sure I saw it in the shops when it came out. This was round the time the GBC was becoming obsolete what with the GBA coming out.
Re: Finishing Rayman 2 Forever
The cut-scenes in this game look like fan-art done in Paint. lol
Well, some of them...
Like these look awesome in a way...

But then I see these and think, "omg fan-art?"

There are a lot of cutscenes I never even saw during story mode. Like with Globox, this first two you have here, and some others. Is there something you have to do to see these or something?Phoenixan wrote:The cut-scenes in this game look like fan-art done in Paint. lol

I'm pretty sure nothing happens. You are just supposed to enjoy having more levels, I guess.spiraldoor wrote:Does anything happen when you collect all the Globoxes? And why do some copies of the game seem be called "Rayman 2 Forever", while some copies are called "Rayman 2: The Great Escape"?

Re: Finishing Rayman 2 Forever
I decided to pick up again my Rayman 2 Forever cartridge. And I finally completed it 100% with all the 800 Lums.

I remember The Lonely Goomba made a video on this game a while back (fair warning but its a bit crude humor):

This is the biggest bump I've ever seen.
This game, you know, I finished it, but I probably wouldn't play again because for me it was so lackluster when compared to R1 GBC.

Re: Finishing Rayman 2 Forever
Just like Raydijay said here, Rayman 2 Forever is essentially an "official ROM hack of Rayman 1 GBC".
I certainly did not expect to see Polokus in a thong when I started this video. One more cursed Rayman image for our collection!Mantidil wrote: Sat May 03, 2025 5:22 pm I remember The Lonely Goomba made a video on this game a while back (fair warning but its a bit crude humor):
