Surprisingly, I found part three much easier than the previous two.

actually i had most problems with part 3 as well. the first 2 parts didn't cause any problems. the main problem about part 3 are the matuvus in my opinion. getting them both for 2500 points in combo can be a bit tricky. they can very easily cause restarts.
although i think a little bit of practicing should do it for you :)

anyway, what are your detailled scores after part 1 and 2?
i'm asking because i actually had to play LOTLD 6 times during the last 2 days in order to reach the maximum score and it still looks to me as if i did quite bad.

by the way, i'm in part 3 of BOM and the hoodblaster is driving me crazy xD

I've been trying to follow the guide in TFC, i'm having some problems at the stone bridge to combo the matuvu but thats fine..... the problem is that at the room where you broke Globox's keg, i can't seem to get the turtles at the right place to backtrack to the first room with the fake gnomes.

Look here. With a little bit of practice, this should be easy.

If you still have trouble, you could always try kicking them both into the room and stacking them up. To be honest I can manage it fine with one though.

Around 38500 in part 1 and 57100 in part 2. I don't think I need higher scores than those to achieve the maximum.

I can only sympathise for you with part 3. I'm not a sufferer of the low frequency of Hoodblaster survivals... for me it survives once every two or three restarts at least.

well, if you can manage to get the maximum with such a low score after part 2, then I actually know where I lost so many points xD

I actually had 40K after part 1 and 62K after part 2 and still i would have just been able to get like 91.5K after part 3. i settled for 90.500 as that (to me) seemed to be the best score to continue with. on my 5th run i actually finished part 3 with 98.800 which ended to be not enough......

i don't have any problems with the survival rate of the hoodlum. anyway, it's been horrible today. and i even managed the big combo twice but then failed with the green gem which normally NEVER happens. it's just a bad day, I'd say. it'll probably be different tomorrow.

57000 is definitely not enough after part 2, unless you have some mega-combo in part 3.

Unless I made some mistake, it means the theoretical minimum score after part 2 is 57569. However, I'm pretty sure that with a few improvements in part 3, it may be possible with hardly more than 57000.
It would be quite stupid anyway, since it's probably much easier to get these points in the previous parts.

Don't forget that you need 1500 more points to get the new maximum. At least 59000 are necessary, then.

actually, a 3 hour break was all i needed xD took me one try to finish part 3....

44.658 after part 3 should be quite enough.

that's what makes the level quite harder in my opinion. also, it's the first time that we actually extend the maximum score in a level and have to get more points before starting the combo...

True, and I'd actually recommend more than 62000.

I guess this shows how much my knowledge of the game is fading. I went for a minimum target of 57000 because it's what I thought I had the first time I played the level, but I must have been mistaken. Oh well, parts 1 and 2 are both fairly straightforward.

that's not much of a problem, you're actually facing the same problems as I did... :P however, you won't have to play LOTLD 6 times, as you don't have to try out if that 100.000-thingy works and because you now know how many points you need :)

I finished part 4 with 65.562, by the way...

BOM , I'm in part 3. :)
Do you have something that I can do for more score?
I think that it is better to start the combo with the 2 yellow gems on the Mushrooms near the island with the muddibogs and from the high mushroom you can roll down to the 2 yellow gems on the mushrooms near to the place where you started...
But I can't do this combo because the Hoodlum never survive... :?

that hoodlum in part 3 is one of the most annoying thing in the entire game. later on it gets necessary to have that guy stay alive. however, the only thing i can tell you about that guy is to restart the part until he survives. that can be pretty annoying, though.

which score are you aiming for? and what's your score after part 2?

I'm aiming for 100k score (or something close) in BOM.
and I have now (after part 2) 13413.

I tried to restart over 40 times and the hoodlum didn't survive. :?

I shall try to work on the 600.000 points on overall score when my Desktop computer gets fixed.

I did that in other position, I will try one day to upload that position.

that's a high goal you wanna reach there. have you ever managed to pull of the razoff glitch? anyway, as far as I know there are only 2 players up to now that actually have more than 100K points in BOM. in my opinion you should settle for something aroud 95K first, and replay BOM later. but if you think you can pull off 100K, then just try. it's your decission.
13K points after part 2 is very good.

actually there are people having even more problems with the hoodblaster. it can sometimes take forever to make him survive, so restarting 40 times may be a bit impatient.

MandM had to restart a hundred times until the Hoodblaster survived, I think.

The Razoff glitch is always frustrating. With a lot of practice you can improve your chances but in the end it's down to whether you're lucky or not.
