Rayman Games and Opinions 3: Rayman 2
There are several versions and spin-offs of Rayman 2.
Here you can express you emotions (
) of the game and what port of it you like best. There is not a poll for Rayman 2 according to my research.
Not very many people heard of the Rayman 2 spin-offs.
They are listed in the poll above the forum. This poll is a successor of "Rayman Games and Opinions: Rayman Games between Rayman 1 and 2." and a predecessor of "Rayman Games and Opinions 4: Rayman M/Arena." If you have been following the polls, they will get trickier.
There are 7 ports (versions) of Rayman 2 and two spin-offs. I'm not picking Rayman 2 for the PSP because I don't think is has officially become a download on the Playstation Network.
Someone may have to correct me on this, though. What version do you like most
You have a max of two choices and you can recast your vote if you want to change your mind! Select below and have fun. I'll check up on these polls a lot so, keep commenting.

Rayman 2 is the best in the series! Even though Dreamcast may be better, I grew up with the PS1. I love the voice acting

Re: Rayman Games and Opinions 3: Rayman 2
I picked the Dreamcast and PS2 versions - Dreamcast for how smooth it is and the bonuses, Revolution for all the extras and the better graphics. When the game came out I wanted it on the N64, but before then I wanted a Dreamcast with Sonic Adventure, so I got that instead, waited for the two months for the Dreamcast version to come out, and I'm glad it went that way, the N64 one looks so blocky and the music sounded like shit compared to the CD versions. The PC version would be my third choice but as I just said five minutes ago I hate the CD reading errors and I can't fix them. PS1 version is OK but again, blocky graphics but at at least it had that beta level. GBC version = almost no, DS version = definitely no.

DC and PC for me. Great music. Great story. DC version has great visuals and multiplayer components without adding too much to it to ruin it. PS2 version ruins the feel and mood for me with all of it's "extras."

I'd say get Rayman 2 on Dreamcast if you are looking for the best graphics and most "pure" version of the original Rayman 2, but PS2 and PSX versions both have exclusives and differences that sort of make them must own.
I got rid of my Dreamcast version since I figured I had everything it had for the most part between the PSX and PS2 versions except for those three downloadable minigames. But the Dreamcast version was my first exposure to Rayman 2, so maybe I'm speaking from nostalgia on it's greatness.
I don't know why Rayman Golf or Rayman Bowling are on here, but those are a waste of time.

I think the most "pure" version of R2 is the PC one. The Isle of Doors in the DC version is awesome, but it's a deviation from the original N64 game, as well as the other versions. Not that there's anything wrong with that.syntheticgerbil wrote:I'd say get Rayman 2 on Dreamcast if you are looking for the best graphics and most "pure" version of the original Rayman 2, but PS2 and PSX versions both have exclusives and differences that sort of make them must own.

Rayman Golf and Bowling, Golf, and Garden are spin-offs made by Gameloft for the N-Gage. Very very, unpopular. Rayman Garden is a memory game.

Uh they're not just for NGage, they're compatible with some mobile phones that support .JAR files.

I gotcha on this. Then maybe you can fill the gaps in the spin-offs of Rayman 2 on Raywiki. Rayman 2 page. Rayman Garden is just basically a memory game. Anyway, I've made a new poll for Rayman M/Arena. "Rayman Games and Opinions 4: Rayman M/Arena.

Re: Rayman Games and Opinions 3: Rayman 2
Yeah I suppose so. I guess I mean it's the last version of Rayman 2 with smoothed out graphics and upped poly count that is not radically different from the orginal release like Rayman Revolution or the PSX version were.spiraldoor wrote:I think the most "pure" version of R2 is the PC one. Re: Rayman Games and Opinions 3: Rayman 2
I like the Dreamcast and Playstation the best. The Dreamcast has better graphics before Rayman Revolution. Plus Rayman(PS1) has a whole new view that any of the other versions do't have.

DC and Revolution.
Re: Rayman Games and Opinions 3: Rayman 2
Locking these topics. If you really want to express your opinions on these games, there are already stickies. You don't need 6 polls for that.
