It's probably why they never bothered to change anything around again in Rayman 3.

Lots of Western franchises have failed commercially in Japan because even with these attempts they just weren't appealing enough. Not sure how well Raving Rabbids done there but I think they seem to like white bunnies a lot so it must have been a good chance.

I had this stuck in a home made book for ages and only recently I found it. That other pic is cool though, did Ubi Japan shoop it or something?

They tried it though, the weird pic of Ly from earlier in the topic is from the Rayman 3 print studio o____o

I think I see the difference now. I always thought that the Aeropolis tower was like, floating above the sea, damn the tiny images Total64 used.

[eeep people still pester me about all things relating to the TV series, yes I know Billy West voiced Rayman I don't need to be told 100 times more already]

OMG I have that magazine XD It takes pride of place in my collection. Even now i can remember how excited i was reading about the TV series from it

I've had them for a while. I was a VERY AVID Rayman Nerd as a kid, and spent most of my free time scouring google for any information on the ellusive Rayman TV series. I e-mailed animators and voice actors to get information on the series, and even contacted singer/actress Lauren Wood who did the voice of Betina in the promo of the show (she wasn't even the final voice actress!), and got a little info out of her (she's really nice)

anywho speaking of Betina, as much as i like her as a character some of the art for her is WEIRD

Here are some interesting ones. They were taken from some unfinished show clips on the website of one of the animators. They're not textured and only partly coloured hence why they look a little weird, and appologies for the size and quality:

For a very short-lived show, A LOT of artwork has clearly gone into it. I mean.. these screenshots would be passable as a movie or this or next-gen game production.

It's a shame really, the concept was kinda nice even if there weren't any official characters. it was trying something new and breaking away from the games which again was a good ideas considering the huge difference between Rayman 1 and 2
