I like my country's flag more. Too bad so many other countries stole the colours.

They are just colours of importance that it makes sense to put together. Or something.Matyuv wrote:I like my country's flag more. Too bad so many other countries stole the colours.

The Netherlands FTW! ^-^ I try to speak English as well as I can and I'm asking all of you native English speakers: How good is my English? I'm very curious. ^-^Rayman4321 wrote:I'm from the Netherlands, i speak dutch, english and a bit german and french.

Yeah, but the Russian flag combines them in the best way possible.PluMGMK wrote:They are just colours of importance that it makes sense to put together. Or something.Matyuv wrote:I like my country's flag more. Too bad so many other countries stole the colours.

Re: What nationality are you?
That's good to hear, thank you! ^-^ And as we're on the topic of flags, I think Bhutan's got a pretty cool one.

Re: What nationality are you?
The elements on the Portuguese flag do have meanings:
Green: Symbolizes the hope.
Red: Symbolizes the bravure and the blood of the Portuguese people that died on combat.
Armillary Sphere: Represents the world that Portuguese Navigators discovered on the XV and XVI centuries and the people with they which traded ideas and the comercialization.
The 7 Castles: Symbolize the Moorish fortified locations that D. Afonso Henriques conquered.
The 5 Blue Shields: Symbolize the 5 Moorish Kings defeated by D. Afonso Henriques on Ourique's Battle.
The 5 white dots inside each shield: Represent the 5 wounds of Christ.

French:
Red and Blue = Colours of Paris
White = Colour of Royalty, in between the colours of Paris to show that the Royalty was now controlled by the People
