Re: Rayman Games and Opinions: Rayman 1
Saturn and PC versions are hell-a awesome.
The GBA version can crawl into a corner and die, thanks to its smaller screen and lower-res sprites. And even then, they could have done a better job with porting it to make it more playable (Mr. Stone's fight was made unnecessarily harder, just because you have to hang closer to him to see his actions in order to know what he's going to do next). Rayman 3 for the GBA proved that.

Yep, but Saturn version has some great graphics, and I can't abandon the PC version for the fact that it's the first one I played... Plus there are the level creators with Designer and whatever, which I will admit, I never had.

Not to mini-mod or anything, but if I were you I wouldn't double-post.Rayman123 wrote:Now get this I remade and redid some choices. So you all are going to have to vote again. Please pardon me for doing this!

Re: Rayman Games and Opinions: Rayman 1
You forgot the various add-on level versions of Rayman 1 for the PC like Forever, Gold, and Collector.
I would say the PC version is the best just because of the availability of tons of extra levels. What sucks about the PC version badly is that there are tons of editions out there besides the original edition that are missing the intro and ending movie on the CD as well as music tracks. So if you want a complete Rayman PC set with everything intact, you have to buy 2 or 3 editions of the same game, which is very stupid. Ubisoft really bungled that up.
I like the GBC one just because it's a charming classic portable version that is will designed.
So who made this poll? Is it confirmed that the Palm OS, Symbian, and Windows Mobile version is the same as the GBC edition? I would really love for someone to confirm that for me, since I'm having no luck emulating those.

Try going to http://www.rayman-fanpage.de. It has every rayman game and format all the way up to RRR TV Party. And look at the second poll I made. It's called, "Rayman Games and Opinions: Games between Rayman 1 and 2.

This is just evidence to back up the ports of Rayman 1, some people never heard of. Like Rayman 1(GBC) only for the Nokia 9210.

Well seeing it on the Rayman Fanpage is why I'm asking the question.Rayman123 wrote:Try going to http://www.rayman-fanpage.de. It has every rayman game and format all the way up to RRR TV Party. Sure the Palm OS and Symbian version of Rayman 1 use the same sprites as the GBC version (albeit the colors look much more saturated when they aren't on a gameboy screen), but I'm wondering if the levels are constructed the same, which screenshots and the Rayman Fanpage both do not mention.
So I have the Palm OS one downloaded but I can't seem to get it to run or find a suitable emulator. I can't find a ROM for the Symbian version at all though even though there are Symbian emulators.

Re: Rayman Games and Opinions: Rayman 1
Well, I'm familiar with technology, but not with Mobile Phones, Pockets PCs and other mobile devices other than the Gameboy line, Nintedo DS line, and the PSPs. I can't help you out in that area. Sorry.
Re: Rayman Games and Opinions: Rayman 1
Locking these topics. If you really want to express your opinions on these games, there are already stickies. You don't need 6 polls for that.
