Do I? No.
I wish I did SO MUCH though. Whenever I bring my friends over I like move all that stuff into the other room because they think it's retarded.

Re: Do you have any real-life friends that also like Rayman?
Only because I introduced them to it. lol (Yes.)
Re: Do you have any real-life friends that also like Rayman?
My friends are all much more interested in music than video games. A few of them, however, got Rayman3 as a Christmas/Birthday present years ago when it came out etc. but now those games of theirs belong to me. ^^
Although they are fascinated by how big my collection is, but that's basically it. I'm not at all bothered, but my Mum has attempted a few times to get rid of it!
I believe I'm the only Rayman fan for miles, unless they too are ashamed to ask the public and find out otherwise.
What's the point though when you are one of the members of this great community?

I have a sister who's a Rayman fan, but she's only eight or nine.

I put kinda because while I have um, friends that are nowhere near as hardcore as I am, they do like the Rayman games.

Serza lives so close to me it's scary... we've probably walked past each other in the street several times.spiraldoor wrote:I think PluMGMK lives not too far from me.

There's a guy in my class who likes RRR. Does that count?

So does that make me "no" or "kinda"?
I nearly went ballistic when he told me that he liked RRR.

Re: Do you have any real-life friends that also like Rayman?
Most people I've ever met who even know Rayman exist only know because of the Rabbids.
I've never really known anyone to like a Rayman game here in the US. The funny thing is during one of my later classes at my college, people were watching the Wii promo videos for the launch titles and everyone let out a simultaneous groan once Rayman himself appeared in the RRR promo. So I get the idea maybe a lot of US citizens hate Rayman and were enjoying the Rabbids and animation until he appeared?
Not that I care anyway though, most people in video games just like shooting or anime RPGs. Platformers and adventure games are way past dead on popularity these days.

I hope you don't mind me responding to you like this but...StaceyW wrote:I put kinda because while I have um, friends that are nowhere near as hardcore as I am, they do like the Rayman games.
Is it just me, or was Rayman 3 onward almost marketed toward the US crowd or something? Because I didn't know anyone who even knew about Rayman in person from about 2002 and before, but when Rayman 3's ads first came, practically everyone had some clue for what he was.
Not to mention I go online, and I notice about 75% of the fans for Rayman 1 and 2 are from anywhere but the United States.
Re: Do you have any real-life friends that also like Rayman?
Not so surprising, considering that only 4.5% (ca.) live in the US.Phoenixan wrote:StaceyW wrote: Not to mention I go online, and I notice about 75% of the fans for Rayman 1 and 2 are from anywhere but the United States.
Re: Do you have any real-life friends that also like Rayman?
No, none at all. I'm not sure if I still like Rayman myself to be honest.

I'm slowly moving away from him myself. 6 (almost 7 infact) years is a bloody long time.Matyuv wrote:No, none at all. I'm not sure if I still like Rayman myself to be honest.
Re: Do you have any real-life friends that also like Rayman?
Eh, I'm still in love with Rayman 1 & 2. And then there's the character design of those two games. I won't ever stop loving the artwork and music that's been put into The Great Escape especially.
Because after Rayman 3, I saw more Americans around.
And then after Rayman Raving Rabbids, RZ is crawling with Americans.
And not even Americans like myself that bother to take some time and spell a god damn sentence. No, these are the sort that I would make fun of all the time by TYEPIN LEIK DIS. God damn lazy asses.
Well, as I said, before Rayman 3...Tobbe wrote:Not so surprising, considering that only 4.5% (ca.) live in the US.

Re: Do you have any real-life friends that also like Rayman?
No, none of my friends do, and I'm sure they'd think differently of me if I were to tell them. But I think I'm also slowly moving away from the Rayman series... I haven't played R2 for absolutely ages now, and I'm not particularly wanting to.
It would just be the greatest thing ever if everyone on this forum were to meet up.

My friends all know I like Rayman, and some of them have played the games and enjoyed them, but none of them are as fanatical as me ;D

It's okay if you're a girl, but being a guy makes it an incredibly embarrassing subject.

I've been thinking about that for ages now!Xenon wrote:It would just be the greatest thing ever if everyone on this forum were to meet up.
