General Pokémon Thread

It seems that my GBA SP will get on my mail box on this Friday. And it comes with a PKMN Ruby cartridge...

Yellow : I will not state the obvious xD
Gold : Cyndaquil
Ruby : Torchic
Leaf Green : Squirtle
Emerald : Same as Ruby
Diamond : Piplup

At least Ruby will allow me to get some PKMNs that I cannot have on my regular versions, such as the Surskit.

Better than that is the Emerald version (Which I have).
Another cool thing that saved my life is the clonage glitch present on the Battle Frontier.

It was very useful for me, because I could transfer my PKMNs to the Pearl version without loosing them on the GBA cartridges.

I restarted my Emerald game so I can't go to Frontier yet, luckily i'm heading for the PKMN League on my Emerald game.

Then try to reach it, believe me, that glitch is super useful.

You don't really need the GBA games anymore, between DPPt and HGSS I'm pretty sure you can get every pokemon except Mew, Jirachi and Deoxys. In fact you can get a shitload of pokemon in HGSS alone; they really outdid themselves to make as many pokemon as possible available.

That's how i got my Munchlax in Diamond and Platinum. (yeah i was lazy, i think that the chance that you will see a Munchlax in a honey tree is lower than 1% )

I love how you can now catch Mewtwo in HG and SS. No trading, no contests. Just in-game finding and catching. Just the way I like it.

When I played Diamond I didn't even bother with the honey trees at all...

The Honey Trees are boring, I still haven't suceeded in getting a Female Combee.

The most hilarious situation I had was one day my goal being to catch a Male Carvanha, at the first fishing, it was a Female one, I made "RUN". Then on the second... a Male Feebas! (And Serebii says this PKMN is Ultra Rare to get, very frustrating) I hadn't still a Feebas, so I catched it up convinced I had too much luck.
