Re: Rayman 2
Is that game fan-made or official?
Re: Rayman 2
It is official.

I was playing this, and right after Razorwife killed a Baby Globox, Rayman shouted "Yeah!"Haruka wrote:I still like to play this, years ago I was addicted with this:

Re: Rayman 2
I thought it would be impossible for Ubisoft to create an 'ultimate' version of Rayman 2, since the PS1 and PS2 versions are so different. But I believe I'e thought of a way; what if they re-released the Dreamcast version (with 1080p visuals, of course), but allowed you to pause the game and switch bewteen 'Hall of Doors' and 'Isle of Doors' at any time, as well as switch between 'CD sound' and 'Cartridge sound' options? And, to actually make it the ultimate version, the PS1 and PS2 versions would be included as unlockables, perhaps called 'Version B' and 'Version C', or something like that. Of course, Ubisoft will never do this. It's too hardcore-fan-oriented.

Re: Rayman 2
I recieved my R2 for Dreamcast!
Now I think on Monday a friend of mine will lend me his Dreamcast, I can finally play this version!
Re: Rayman 2
Wow, great
I want Rayman Revolution very badly, mainly because of the new levels, level changes, graphics and new minigames like the pirate shooting minigame.

You really should get RR, it is very satisfying to play.Rayman4321 wrote:Wow, great

Re: Rayman 2
I wish I could get R2:R, but as I've said about ten times on this forum, I don't have a PS2.

Re: Rayman 2
The only annoying thing about Revolution is that you lose the music after you go through a level once. All you get on revisits is ambience... it kind of killed it for me cause I love the music
Re: Rayman 2
Sabertooth, the PS2 is available now for 99€, you could try to save up some money for it.
Re: Rayman 2
Now that I look back on Rayman 2 I realise that it is probably one of the best video games I have ever played in my life. Whats so interesting about is that its easy enough that anyone can play through it, but it is so creative and well done that it appeals to anyone. (I first got Rayman 2 back in 2001 when I was 5 and couldnt read but still managed to beat the game). Although on that same note I wish that it was a bit longer and more challenging. Perhaps playing through it about 8 times or so throughout my life has now made some of the challenges feel dull, but I now wish that there was just a little something extra. Anyone know what I mean?

Re: Rayman 2
If you want more of Rayman 2, perhaps you could try getting another version. I look on the PC version as the 'standard' one, the most 'normal' of them. The N64 version has a completely different soundtrack; the Dreamcast version has a different hub and some additional minigames; the PS2 version has loads of additional content which arguably add to or detract from the experience; and the PS1 version has exclusive minigames, cutscenes, dialogue and significantly altered levels. Which version do you have?yak248 wrote:Now that I look back on Rayman 2 I realise that it is probably one of the best video games I have ever played in my life. Re: Rayman 2
I'd actually suggest getting Revolution instead of the original game on a different console. Revolution is, in my opinion, an 'alternative' to Rayman 2 and not simply a 'version' of it.

Re: Rayman 2
I think that the PS1 version is as much of an alternative as Revolution is.
