Re: Upcoming Games
The Oddbox, all the 4 Oddworld games (Including the two exclusive from Xbox) for PC! I can't wait for more news about this.

Re: Upcoming Games
A WWII game where you play as a Nazi soldier would be fucking awesome.

Re: Upcoming Games
We have first-person and third-person games. Why no second-person games (that is, games from the point of view of a character who you do not control)? Although the concept of having one character stare at another for the duration of the game would be difficult to work into the narrative of a typical game, I'm sure it's doable.
Re: Upcoming Games
That sounds just like third-person but worse I think.
Re: Upcoming Games
I'd love to play a virtual reality simulation game, that would be great...

Re: Upcoming Games
Well, technically Super Mario 64 is played from the perspective of a camera carrying Lakitu who follows Mario around filming him. You can actually see him in mirrors which is pretty cool.spiraldoor wrote:We have first-person and third-person games. Actually spiral, there is a game with a mechanism like that.spiraldoor wrote:We have first-person and third-person games. Re: Upcoming Games
The original Dementium was a somewhat interesting one.
Re: Upcoming Games
Just read about a coproduction of Level 5 (Layton) and Studio Ghibli: a DS RPG called Ni No Kuni: The Another World! Awesome! 8D
Re: Upcoming Games
Bump, because everyone ( or at least everyone who played Portal ) should know that Portal 2 is to be announced soon. =D
Valve is constantly updating Portal 1 now, hiding ( and how! ) several hints towards Portal 2 in the updates' source files.
They also changed Portal's ending in the most recent update, from this ( at the end of the video ) to this.
They also keep mentioning the number 3.11 in the source files, so I think we can expect the announcement on the 11th this month.
EDIT -> Yay, Portal 2 has just been officially announced!

Re: Upcoming Games
Attention everyone. Sega have officially announced that they're releasing Dreamcast games on PSN and XBLA. The games will be HD, have surround sound, achievements, leaderboards, things like that. No word yet on whether third-party games (Rayman 2) will be given this treatment but let's hope for the best.

Also Portal 2's been delayed till 2011.

Doubt it considering the PS1 version is already on the PSN.spiraldoor wrote:No word yet on whether third-party games (Rayman 2) will be given this treatment but let's hope for the best.

I don't see how that's remotely relevant.

The PS1 version wasn't as good as the others.Sabertooth1000000000 wrote:Doubt it considering the PS1 version is already on the PSN.spiraldoor wrote:No word yet on whether third-party games (Rayman 2) will be given this treatment but let's hope for the best.
I'll definitely download Rayman 2 if it is released.
Re: Upcoming Games
I hope it will come to live arcade. The iPhone version isn't a satisfying port (can't be bothered to keep trying to get past the precipice as I keep dying with those controls and the lag) and a console port would be welcomed by me.
I also can't see why the PSOne version being on PSN would make it less likely to be put on arcade. It's quite significantly different from the dreamcast version and PSN is sony, arcade is Microsoft...
