Tobbe wrote: Glad you like it. The Dance of Eternity is amazing, isn't it? Same goes for Home. I didn't like One Last Time that much at first, but that song has really grown on me, especially after their amazing performance of it directly after Dance of Eternity at their concert here in september. :)
Yeah the Dance of Eternity is great, although a bit wierd. One Last Time is quite good; it's a great example of Dream Theatre's more mellow, melodic capabilities. They can certainly excel in many different areas, which I quite enjoy.

By the way, have you heard any of the Dream Theatre demos? I'm interested to listen to the Falling into Infinity Demos, since it has the original Metropolis Part 2 on it. I think I might wait until I hear the actual Falling into Infinity first.

I've heard the Metropolis pt.2 demo, yes. It's like a 15 minute long version of Overture 1928, so it gets boring after a while. I'm glad they decided to work on it and create a whole new concept album instead of putting another song on Falling Into Infinity, which is their worst album so far, in my opinion.

Yeah that's because the record company was pressuring them to be more mainstream and sent some guy in who fucked everything up apaprently. Tat's according to Wikipedia anyway. :mryellow:

Plus, James LaBrie had ruined his voice by vomiting after getting food poisoned. It took him years to recover and regain the full power of his voice. Imo one of the only faults of Scenes From a Memory is LaBrie's voice. It's actually really easy to recognise the loss of power in his voice if you know what to listen for. Try comparing a 'power song' like 6:00 from Awake to anything from Falling Into Infinity or Scenes From a Memory. It's really easy to hear that he has lost the familiar snarl in his voice from his three first albums.

Haha, their album covers are really wierd...

Anyway, I decided to give myself a break from Dream theatre today before I got sick of it.
