tbh, I wouldn't be surprised if this was an ugly port like Rayman Advance or Rayman DS.

Acarr: The graphics are very important. This is another reason why someone here must get this game. We must find out.

I still wouldn't be surprised though.
It would be great if it did sell really well, I mean, the rabbid games arn't exactly... any where near good quality.

I knew that, but I meant a backup. Also, :P tends to mean that the post isn't to be taken too seriously.

How large are DSiWare games in terms of filesize? I fear the music may have been castrated.

Two difficulty levels, DSi Camera integration, touch screen, playing against time, and... bonuses?
You're right, we DO need someone to get this.

I wonder what form the "difficulty levels" take? Extra lives or health points? Less enemies? Enemies with less resistance? More platforms? Cages in easier-to-reach places?

~Now, I wonder if it includes the exclusive PlayStation stuff. Or the exclusive Saturn stuff. Or the exclusive PC stuff. Or the exclusive Jaguar stuff. Or any combination of the above.

There has to be more information available. We know the price; do we know the filesize? Do we have any reviews? Well, of course there aren't any reviews just yet, but will we have them within a week or two?

And WHAT THE HELL could the DSi camera-integration possibly take the form of? Is the "playing against time" thing just the Magician levels, or something new? The touch screen will apparently be used to navigate the world map. Hmm.

~BONUSES! Serious WIN potential right there. Probably squandered, but maybe not.

I wonder who developed this port? Gameloft? I bet it was Gameloft.

~More thoughts coming soon

Why put it as DSi ware? I don't know a single person who has a DSi...

That may be part of the reason: to sell systems.

~If this game is a success it may be ported over to the PSP as one of those 'PSP Minis', which are not dissimilar from DSiWare. That would be good.

I doubt that. The PS1 version of Rayman 1 is already downloadable for PSP and it seems like this remake is just the original game plus some new features making use of the touch screen and camera of the DSi.

I would bet you the "touch screen map" is just the same map as before except now it's clickable.

Somehow I also bet this is just a slightly updated port of Rayman Advance, and the "added time bonuses" are just the same time bonuses as last time.

Of course I'd be glad if someone could prove my intuition wrong.

I would investigate that better, but on the time I didn't buy a DSi because I hadn't any reasons to do that.

I expect it to be given a European release very shortly, given that its existence was revealed by a German ratings board.

Probably most of them.

Also I have an idea for how the camera would be used. Maybe every time you reach the Photographer, it takes a photograph of you?? Just for the sake of it.

Now let's wait a minute... It could be better than Rayman Advance, and a bit of a better port. Because, I actually hated Rayman Advance with a passion because of how watered down the game was. :fou:

I've never understood all the hate for Rayman Advance. I know the sound quality is decreased and such but it's still the same game and it still looks and sounds great on the GBA.

And you were expecting, uh, Rayman 4?
