Re: Rayman 2
As for RRR, I think he meant the bowling game. When you start Rayman looks so... um... dark (no pun intended).

Re: Rayman 2
My new babies have come today.

They're a LOT bigger than I thought they'd be especially the cage one. The cage has this windup thing at the back, a sucker thing at the bottom and an on switch at the front, if you turn that on and wind it up, you stand it on the sucker and it wobbles while it shines a red LED inside.
The henchman has some kinda push button on its back that makes a funny drill sound when you push it.
Rayman can be pushed along and his hair twirls.
Ly's right arm can be lifted and the lum she's holding glows red with an LED. Kinda make sense since she does have healing powers as well as her silver Lum making.
Globox has a windup as well and his mouth opens and closes when he moves.
Best Rayman things I've bought this year.

Wow, I've never seen any pictures of them other than the ones on Rayman fan-page. Very nice.
Lol the cage one...

Re: Rayman 2
Those are awesome, I wish you had some kind of 3D scanner thing like what they use to scan sculpted models into CG ones when they're making films and stuff.
Re: Rayman 2
I love those figures.

Re: Rayman 2
Man, I've been so envious of those that owned those figures.
The Rayman one always makes me lol so much. The Ly one is amazing though, I think.

Where did you get these? eBay? Amazon? Pawn shop? Are they the McDonald's figures?StaceyW wrote:My new babies have come today.
Re: Rayman 2
Those were promotional figures of a French Happy Meal of MacDonalds, made around year 2000 I think.

Re: Rayman 2
@Sabre: I got them from eBay from a French seller and I paid 20 euros [£18] for them, the bulk of which was the shipping. As soon as I got the package I started to understand why - when you put toys in a box, you can't just sling them in there or the paint rubs on each other. These have obviously been played with but I don't care because I've ALWAYS wanted them. Just got one more to go.
eBay is prolly the only place to find them, they're that rare. Even when I found them, they had bids but I got clever with my bidding.

I was looking at a bunch of Crash Bandicoot toys from Taco Bell (circa 2000) on eBay, and I set it on 'watch'. As some of you might know I've always been a huge nut when it comes to CB, so I was thinking about bidding on them because they were kinda low-priced at the time and there wasn't long to go until it ended. But I forgot about them. And when I checked them afterwards, it turns out the bid ended at £26. It's surprising how high these auctions can go but congrats for winning those Rayman ones. £18 would surprise a lot of people but I'm sure they were worth it, when you're such a big Rayman fan and considering how rare these things are to find nowadays. Don't you own the Rayman Animated Series DVD as well? Just out of interest, when and where'd you get that?
You just gotta keep checking on eBay for these things. This year I was looking out for an old demo of a Crash game and an Asterix & Obelix game which I couldnt find anywhere, and I eventually found both on eBay.
SO YAY! Moral of the story: keep checking eBay if you're looking for something.
I gave up on Rayman DS at the shell ride. I don't have a problem with it on the other versions but on DS I find it way too frustrating. But it's good being able to play Rayman 2 on DS, anyway, no matter how much better the port could've been. Now I'd like to see them add Rayman 2 to the European PSN, so I can play it on PSP, although right now they seem to be adding nothing but Disney PS1 games. Pretty much every Disney PS1 game EXCEPT my two favorites, Mickey's Wild Adventure (tough 2D platformer similar to Rayman 1) and Toy Story 2 (a childhood favorite I haven't played in years).
@Sabertooth: what figurine do you have? I don't have any Rayman shit besides the games, down to the fact that I never really was a fan of Rayman until two or three years ago when I decided to try out the 10th Anniversary pack on GBA. That blew me away. I'd played the original game when I was younger but I never owned it and didn't get to play much of it.
Re: Rayman 2
I had problems with that on the DS version, simply because the people didn't spend time to fix the controls of the D-Pad.dingodile555 wrote:StaceyW wrote:I gave up on Rayman DS at the shell ride. I don't have a problem with it on the other versions but on DS I find it way too frustrating.

Re: Rayman 2
It's probably the most common piece of Rayman merchandise ever made. I know of a lot of people here who have it, and I just got it two weeks ago.

Re: Rayman 2
I got it from eBay CGI, from a French seller. And I'm not saying that it's common, just a lot less rare than the McDonald's toys or the plush doll (which I just found on French eBay, unfortunately I live in the U.S. so I don't have any eurosdingodile555 wrote: How's that? I know for a fact that both Hunch and Stacey have one. I do my research.

Re: Rayman 2
It's not really what you would expect out of a Rayman figure, it looks quite nice compared to that plum-riding one from McDonald's plus of course they manage to keep the hands and feet together without making it look stupid, unlike the plush doll. Plus the design on his shoes is really accurate. It's sheer luck that I found it though. I just HAPPENED to be looking for toys of my favorite video game heroes on eBay during the last thirty seconds of the auction.Haruka wrote:I would also love to get that.Sabertooth1000000000 wrote:It's probably the most common piece of Rayman merchandise ever made.
