I doubt Michel himself did it.

Someone really close to him who was working for Ubi maybe.

Could this be a reference to Rayman creator Michel Ancel?
Well I somehow doubt it. Probably more of a developer's joke.

That is not a good enough excuse to make a post in this thread dedicated to commenting on another user's sig. Just be more careful in the future.

WOAH! That 3D Band Land and Picture City is awesome. And the rest, too. Seems like this was for the GBA version though.

What's reassuring to know is that Rayman 4 is apparently not the only project Ubi have cancelled, it seems they canned another 2 or 3.

But still this is invaluable!

Yeah. I think they'll still make a Rayman 4 though. ;)

By the way, I can't help but think that these levels the concept artist drew look very linear. Didn't they say that it was going to be free-roaming?

EDIT -> Also, Phoenix Interactive Studio? This?

Really? I think some of it (Organic world, Toys world) eventually ended up in the GBA version of RRR, but they wouldn't bother drawing such artwork for a low-budget adaptation. I'm pretty this is early concept art (2005) of Rayman 4, maybe even prior to the idea of the rabbids (and I'm not talking about the party game here). If they ever go for a Rayman 4, I really hope it will feature similar worlds, along with awesome sanctuaries as well.

I thought it was for the GBA version because it was made for "Phoenix Interactive". If I remember correctly, that's a game studio that makes a lot of games for GBA.
But still, since it says "unpublished", it's probably what you say it is, early concept art prior to the idea of the rabbids.

HOLY SHIT you've just made my day! :D I love how they put Rayman in the images, oh and the band land pics are just amazing... :coeur:

EDIT: I'll probably get shot for saying this, but I'm kinda glad this didn't go through. I mean, we all want a new game, but then I'm sure every member here hates the idea of a 3D Rayman 1. However, this would've been miles better than the Rabbids, so it's really a win-win I guess. :/

It may be worth contacting Guillaume Bonamy to know more about it. Also, the names of the images lead me to believe that several others were also made. The only problem is that I can't find his email address anywhere :?
