Merry Christmas!

Re: Merry christmas
Merry Christmas to you all. Other than the car I got a nice scarf and an atlas. More presents coming tomorrow though.
Re: Merry christmas
You got a car? Nice. I got some nice vouchers and things, and I'm going to see Eric Clapton in February!
Re: Merry christmas
Merry christmas to all. <3
How were your celebrations like? I think everyone has a bit different traditions in their families, so I'd really like to know! =D
In my family (we have polish traditions, even if we live in Germany) we were still tidying up and cooking on the 24th of December, which wasn't as planned. (but we end up like this every year... *rolleyes*)
We didn't have any guests, it was just my parents and me, since the rest of our family lives in Poland.
As soon as the first star is seen, we usually start dinner with good wishes and some christmas carols~ There's a tradition that you have to serve 12 different dishes. If you manage to try a bit of everything, the next year will be a lucky year for you.
Oh, and we don't eat any meat on this eve.
After that, we usually give out the presents already. I heard that in America most of you get their presents on the morning of the 25th, am I right?

Re: Merry christmas
We open all our stuff on the 25th morning in the UK too though there used to be a time when we'd open our presents at midnight because my mum and dad would be working in the morning. Nowadays it's me that has the job, lawl.
I pretty much spent the day having dinner, watching movies and waiting for all my Rayman Sega Saturn vids to upload to Youtube [bulk uploader FTW]. Movies were the 1961 101 Dalmatians and Twilight. Twilight movie sucked a load of balls if I'm honest I want my fiver back. Got some nice bits though, but I got my wage slip yesterday so can definitely afford everything that's still on my "wishlist". Dinner was OK too but it totally could have done without brussell sprouts, I tried them for the first time ever and they were just ARRRGGGHH. And if you're wondering what I could possibly eat instead of the turkey, I eat a few slices of quorn loaf. Not my favourite but it's OK.
We've got Boxing day to go through yet, which is tomorrow.

Re: Merry christmas
We always open presents after lunch, which is slightly more traditional, plus it means there's something to look forward to.
Re: Merry christmas

Re: Merry christmas
Ugh we had a buffet at my other nan's today but it's all spicy and/or meat. Only things I ate were these vegetable spring rolls. Damn I hate going to buffets where I barely eat fuck all. Then we just watched Flushed Away, Curse of the Were Rabbit and Harry Hill, prolly have to watch the former properly at some point because everyone wouldn't stop talking.
Next stop: new year's eve ugh god.

Ahh, opening this topic a year ago,...
I hope all of you had a great christmas, although i'm quite late with that, since here it's already the 27th,

Re: Merry christmas
Hi guys ^-^ I'm back again, after having two Christmas dinners, which were both 8 courses. I'm totally fed up with sea food right now (damn salmon and shrimps D:) and feeling guilty because I ate cute animals.

Re: Merry christmas
Eh don't worry about it, my sister eats fish now and she was a vegetarian for the past 10 years [she's a pesco-vegetarian now]. I however won't, neither will I go vegan.
Re: Merry christmas
I will never become a vegetarian, I love eating beef, pork and chicken, but I'm just not used to eating hare and deer. I liked the taste though.

Re: Merry christmas
On Christmas Eve and Christmas day, we had smoked salmon, lobster, foie gras, guinea-fowl, pheasant, wild hare, Yule log and macarons, with nice wines and liquors
Re: Merry christmas
Sounds like a feast.
