Re: Rayman PSP Homebrew
when you have chosen what maps to use etc, will it be like rayman original or rayman forever? in rayman forever you kinda chose what map to play in the world you've chosen, whilst in rayman original you dont, you just play through the game.
I'd prefer it as it's in rayman original btw
it kinda tells the story much better.
I'd prefer it as it's in rayman original btw

Re: Rayman PSP Homebrew
How about custom "worlds"? You have a default folder with the regular levels you are doing, then the user can make another folder(s) where they put their own levels, maybe with some facility for a custom world map telling how to proceed from one level to the next. If there is only one level in the folder, then the game simply starts in that level for simplicity. When the game first starts, it would show a list of the folders for the user to select for which "world" they wish to play.

Nice, so have you been doing any work on any other worlds, like the Blue Mountains?

I love the look of the mapper! This project is really starting to take shape.

Just call it Rayman PSP.
Like Rayman DS, Rayman DSIWare, or Rayman Advance.

Re: Rayman PSP Homebrew
Those are all inferior handheld Nintendo ports. I don't think Equilibrium's homebrew Rayman game with level-editor should try to associate itself with them.Rayman9930 wrote:Just call it Rayman PSP.Like Rayman DS, Rayman DSIWare, or Rayman Advance.
I think that “Rayman Silver” would be a good name. It references Rayman Gold, to which it is quite comparable. Both are based on R1, and both include single-player levels, as well as level-editors. And someone could probably come up with a cool logo to go along with the name.

Rayman: Hunch is the best sounds like a much better alternative to me.

No it is not. And even if it was, that would be no reason to choose another name over it.

I don't think it's time to choose the title anyway, as we still have no idea what the game is going to be about.

I think "Rayman Platinum" would do better in this context, seeing as it will probably be better than Gold.spiraldoor wrote:I think that “Rayman Silver” would be a good name. That's the best so far I think, after 'Rayman: Hunch', of course.spiraldoor wrote:Or “Rayman Equilibrium”.
