Re: German Occupation Mafia - Day 3
You know, I'm actually only going on a hunch here, but:
Change Report - Day 3 - Report Gregorio

I haven't made up my mind about this yet, so this may be temporary.

Re: German Occupation Mafia - Day 3
Alright, a little update
I've received quite a lot of information, enough to trust 7 players actually (including myself).
And guess what? The remaining two are Goldfish and Gregorio.
Some info:
Neither of them has replied to my PMs yet or ever cooperated with anybody much.
They both voted to save Ping Pong.
Goldfish gave a strange rolename to Diplodocus - "Jake Duee". Neither Google nor Wikipedia give results for that, and another interesting fact is that Ping Pong gave a fake name like that ("Dirck Brunsmann") to Diplo at first too.
Gregorio was hesitant to give Diplo his rolename, but he did send a Win Condition.
I'll wait some more time for their replies; Goldfish seems like a better candidate atm though.

Re: German Occupation Mafia - Day 3
Hey guys I'm dead now but could you please send me any stuff anyway (info, role pms, your plans etc), I still like to know what's going on.
Re: German Occupation Mafia - Day 3
I can assure everybody here that Gregorio is 100% trustworthy, please do not lynch him, doing so would be a big mistake. I have been in contact with the inspector who has inspected both me and Gregorio and found us both clean. I am not so sure about Goldfish, but I might as well start reporting now

Well, for now, my vote stays.
@ Bartholomew
Well, since the name's out in the open now, I may as well present this image, just for humor.
<Pic Removed>
I suppose at least ONE other person tried looking up the name... unless that's also someone participating in the mafia asking for help with names on another forum. That post was made at two places yesterday, some time.
Aviator is walking past the graveyard, when he sees this strange inscription on a wall, written in chalk. Re: German Occupation Mafia - Day 3
That's Diplodocus on the Smogon community.
And the other posts are by me; one links to the portal where the post was copied to, and the other one to the post itself.
I'm still waiting for a reply from Goldfish; as much as I'm tempted to vote for reporting him right now, I'd like to hear him say something first.

Re: German Occupation Mafia - Day 3
Amazing. Well, it's sad that he's dead then, because that's probably some of the greatest amount of entertainment I got out of researching names. I now know that Diplodocus is an Australian.
Re: German Occupation Mafia - Day 3
I sent my role PM to Bart (I actually sent it to Diplo before he got killed).
Day 3 - No report. I'm suspicious about a few people but nothing serious yet.
I strongly advise those who plan on reporting me to change their votes

Alright, Gregorio is trustworthy; anyone who believes me should believe him too.
Which leaves only one candidate, Goldfish, whom we can't be completely sure about, but even mathematically the chance we are right about him being mafia is quite high.

Re: German Occupation Mafia - Day 3
That's not really the reason why I chose him - he hasn't replied because he hasn't even read his PMs yet.
I chose him because he lied to Diplodocus about his rolename, because he voted to save Ping Pong (alright, this could be a coincidence), because he never sent Diplo the Win Condition line and because I'm absolutely sure about quite a lot of people being villagers, and he isn't one of them. And well, actually yes, I must admit, because he's not too active and is likely to have an unimportant role even if he suddenly turns out to be a villager (very unlikely).

I just hope this Goldfish business doesn't come back and smack us in the face...

I'm not going to bother changing my vote, because I feel it's already been settled now. It's very disappointing with how I haven't gotten any replies back either...
Okay, editing. I got some replies back, and you're right. Again, it's probably already settled, but here we go:

Re: German Occupation Mafia - Day 3
It is July 1943. In Europe, Germany has suffered a crushing defeat at the extremely bloody Battle of Stalingrad, and German troops are now on the retreat on the East Front, under heavy pressure from the Red Army. Northern Africa has been conquered by allied troops, who are now continuing the offensive on the Southern Front by landing troops on Sicily, and later mainland Italy. Although the Norwegian people are no longer allowed to have radios, rumours of the Allied forces' progress in Europe spread through the population like wildfire. In the German leadership's headquarters at Skaugum, a few miles southwest of Oslo, Terboven is concerned with the state of the war in Europe, but he also has domestic problems to worry about. The Germans have been searching the country intensively for the man responsible for Diplodocus' murder, and they finally think they have their man.
Almost all reports coming in from Nazi sympathisers around the country seem to indicate that a man named Goldfish was somehow involved in Diplodocus' muder. Terboven subsequently orders his arrest and execution. The Gestapo manage to lure him into an ambush at a café at Olaf Rye's Square in Oslo. As soon as he understands that he has walked into a trap Goldfish draws his gun an attempts to shoot his way out. In the shootout he is fatally wounded and he dies minutes later on the floor of the café. It doesn't take much effort to uncover his real identity. He turns out to be one of the most wanted men in Norway at the time:

Night 3 starts now!Role PM wrote:Goldfish
You are Max Manus. You are a highly skilled saboteur, a member of the so-called “Oslo Gang”, a group a saboteurs who caused considerable damage to a number of German facilities during the war.
At night, you may use your talents to sabotage another user. To do this, send me a PM entitled “Night X – Sabotage [user]”. You will blow up a car, a boat or a railway line, causing the concerned user to be stuck in one location for the duration of the night, and thus he won’t be able to use any Night Actions.
If you do not wish to do anything at night, send a PM to me entitled "Night X - Idling".

Success! Awesome.
I'm forming a plan at the moment - instructions should be sent to everyone in a couple of hours.
