I remember me having like 1 hour of trouble at the second gym (water) in Pokemon red/blue.
I picked charmander, and the last pokemon (Starmie).
And i remember training my Haunter for like 2 hours because i wanted a Gengar so badly. :fou:
Ofcourse, he didn't evolve.... because i had to trade it. :pfff:

I got Blue about 10 years ago. Ah... the memories. :) I had an Alakazam (me and a friend trained each our lvl.16 Kadabras) that owned everything.
I also spent waaaay too many hours training my Zapdos to lvl.100.

Yeah, except that when I played Golden Sun, I realised how quick it was to train a Pokémon to level 100 actually xD

Tomorrow it is the European Release of PKMN HG/SS! If things go well, next week I'll be able to buy the Soul Silver. :D

The only Pokémon I've ever played was one of the old ones, on someone else's Gameboy. Never played enough to really get into it.

Sonic Classic Collection. The minigames in Sonic 2 get pretty damn hard.

I wasted my Master Ball on Zapdos in Blue because my friend told me the Silph Co president would give me another one once I beat the Elite Four. :boon:

I ended up restarting the game so I could glitch myself to infinite Master Balls. I got all 150. Then my cartridge got stolen when I was around nine or ten... I'm still not over that.

My brother ereased my save game just a few hours after my Zapdos had reached level 100. I've never been so mad in my entire life. ^^

That's so annoying... Which reminds me a friend telling me a story about a friend of him that was playing PKMN Silver, found Lugia, fainted him and saved the game. :boon:

I spent way too many hours leveling my whole FireRed team in Pearl :P Looking forward to Golden Sun DS btw :3

How many time have you guys spent on your Pokemon games? Just checked my Pearl game: 650:04. (OMG I thought it was like 500! ) Can you beat that?

I think that my Pearl game has still less than 300 hours, but Leaf Green and Emerald are with more than 300 hours. And I have some PKMNs in level 100 yes.

OK guys, need some advice.... soooo I got the dreaded red ring of death on my 360 again a couple of months ago, and it's not within warranty, so I don't think it's worth paying to send back a launch console to get fixed when it will blatantly break again.

I was gonna wait until Natal came out because I'd heard there would be a new console along side it. Then I heard that was false. Then I heard there might be just a new 360 with natal built in. So now I'm quite lost.

I already have quite a few 360/original xbox games that I want to play again sometime (about £380 worth games and accessories altogether) so I can't just say "Oh well, PS3 from now on then" because that would waste more than just buying a new console.
There are also some exclusives that I'm keen to try like Splinter Cell Conviction (which is also for PC but I don't want to play with crappy resolution and effects etc. on my laptop)

I found a very good deal for a Super Elite (250GB) with 4 games for only £250GBP but I have a feeling this won't be in stock forever, but I can have the money in two months if I decide to buy it.
I prefer the 250 gig hdd because it means more games can be installed (on my old 20gb I could only install 1 at a time) and this means fewer moving parts, which means
a) less noise (big problem with old model)
b) doesn't get as hot > less likely to break solder > no RROD! (in theory...)

My question is this:
Do you guys think it's worth buying this good deal now, and hoping for the best, OR, should I wait for Natal to come out and see if there's a console alongside it that eliminates all of the problems that the original 360 has?

I deeply appreciate any help you guys can give ;)

P.S. I know this isn't about a game I'm currently playing, but I'm sure Xenon said that anything game related that's non-rayman should go in this topic, although I don't think that makes any sense...

DEFINITELY yes. I've had the fucking red ring of death twice on my old 360... I've bought a new one after that, never had the ring again, the new ones are much better. Lesser bugs (none, actually), lesser noise (there's really a huge different)... That's definitely worth it. Go for it. :)

It was supposed to come out in 2010, but anyone who knows how they kept changing the release date of The Lost Age knows it certainly won't xD
