Is this phantom some digital equivalent of the poltergeist? Perhaps some other mischievous nature spirit? Or is it something darker?
Did it start out as a human? A member who died...?

I used the search engine but couldn't find anything, he's certainly controlling it too. As concerns his nature, I am clueless, but he certainly likes to annoy members.PluMGMK wrote:When was he last awakened?

Here's another thing he did: On my Windows 7 computer, half of the images on this site don't even show up!

I recently found out that Gary Oldman nearly ended up playing Morpheus in The Matrix, and now I can't stop thinking about it. He would have been perfect.
Re: Movies you just recently watched
Wow, hard to imagine him as Morpheus...

I think he would have done a great job! He has a certain sympathetic quality to him that I don't think Laurence Fishburne does, which I think would have helped greatly in the later parts of the film, when Neo and Trinity go to rescue him. He actually played a pretty similar role in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
Sean Connery and Samuel L Jackson also came close to getting the role, but I don't think that either of them would have been able to pull it off as well as Laurence Fishburne did.

Jean Reno was asked to play Smith, but he was busy with Godzilla. He's quite different from Weaving...spiraldoor wrote:I recently found out that Gary Oldman nearly ended up playing Morpheus in The Matrix, and now I can't stop thinking about it. He would have been perfect.
I don't think Oldman would have fit this role though.

Jean Reno is a damn good actor but I can't think of anyone who could have done a better performance as Smith than Weaving did.
Re: Movies you just recently watched
I want to see How To Train Your Dragon, in Digital 3D, from DreamWorks studios.

I saw an ad and it looked quite good actually, not that I'm usually a fan of such movies. I have to watch Alice in Wonderland first anyway ^^

Last week I saw Diary of a Wimpy Kid. I really liked the book series, but the movie was awful.
I give it two happy smilies out of five!
As the Irate Gamer would say: It was the biggest piece of SHEEE-it I ever saw!
This weekend I'm going to see Hot Tub Time Machine. Is that any good? Appearantly it's "Fresh" on Rotten Tomatoes, so it must be all right. Seems like Back to the Future mixed with The Hangover, by the looks of it.

Re: Movies you just recently watched
I saw Shutter Island. Seriously, it is the BEST movie I've ever seen. I'm serious, it was an amazing movie. One of the best three hours I've sat through. I don't think I've ever seen one better done. From my point of view, it was better than Avatar.
Also what magnified it, was the fact that I was quite sick, so everything seemed magnified as if I was part of the movie, and I had earlier that day found out what happened to my gf... so I was in tears with my eyes wide open for most of the movie.
There was a part where in another memory, Edward Daniels (main character, he's a police marshal detective) was lined up as a German Nazi with him and a row of people all pointing their rifles as the Jews lined up against the chain-link fences, and his eyes are closed and he's shaking as he pulls the trigger and one by one the Jews get knocked back against the fence and the pile on top of each other, kids and adults. Some rolled into the water beside them and some were alive being smothered by the piles of people on top of them as they're piled on top of each other.
There's another part where he's trying to comfort a mentally insane woman who had killed her kids, and she's talking about how she in her mental room just sent her kids off to school, and she hugs him, but then gets angry and starts muttering things and starts to wail out and punch him and the security pulls her off.
The whole movie had faded into a plot that followed Edward as the good guy, and he's patrolling around the insane prison on Shutter Island to help find the missing patient. Apparently someone else found her, so his job was done. but then she (the insane getaway) gives him a piece of paper that says "WHERE IS 67?" He finds out that that could be related to a 67th patient but there were only 66. He goes trying to find that out, but then finds out that the real patient (the one they found was a setup) was hiding in a cave on the cliff beside the lighthouse. She explains to him that everyone else is not who you think they are, and that each patient that goes missing is taken to the lighthouse to have brain experiments and testing done on them by the doctors. He also sees visions of his dead wife here and there which keep telling him to go against his wishes and to give in. Edward starts recognizing everyone and all the doctors as hostile, and makes it to the top of the lighthouse and the main doctor is just sitting at a desk writing. He points a gun to him. The doctor's telling him that he's insane and they've been trying to tell him that. Edward knew better so he pointed the gun at him and his assistant. "Don't fire" says the doctor. Edward shot the doctor, but he didn't fall even though blood splatted on the wall behind him. He didn't even get grazed. Edward squeezes the gun harder and it breaks in half and crumbles. The doctors keep telling him he's all mental and they're acting all serious, but Edward knew that they were just trying to hide it from him. But he couldn't explain what happened just there. He tried again and again to get past them, but it always fails. Eventually he gets knocked out by himself. He wakes up and the two doctors have him in a bed, and he recognizes that it was fake. He recognizes that just like the mental woman, he had created a false plot that made him a hero to wash out all the sins he had done. It turns out he was the one who killed his wife because she killed the kids because she was going insane In his mind he had made up it was all someone else and his wife had died in an accident and he had no kids.
In a memory after, he finds in his "insane" memory, his three kids drowned in the water while his wife's smirking at him go into the water getting them while he was rasping and crying. He brings them up to shore and covers them in blankets as he's sobbing over them and holding their feet. His wife comes up and hugs him and tells him how much she loves her, he does the same, and as they're hugging, he has a gun in his hands and presses it against her and shoots. She slowly falls over dead as blood runs out from up her shirt. This was all so incredibly amazing.
