Also, has anyone thought of anything from earlier parts of the level that could allow access? I remember the room with the 1000th lum was an alternate entrance to the next phase of the Tomb. And people didn't find the 1000th lum for a loooooong time. Speaking of this, didn't anyone ever take a peek at the games code? If so, why didn't anyone find models for the mysterious red guy? Or the 'unused' music files that are heard here?
I'm pretty sure that Drolpiraat extracted all of the textures from the N64 version, and when I was looking through them I did notice some unused content. There was a texture for a Stone of Thought engraved with the face of Ly, for example, and that didn't actually show up until the PS1 version was produced. The big red guy's textures might even be in that archive somewhere...
Wow... I love it. I love the fact that there's this hidden area in the game that took us over a decade to find. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy just looking at it.
Oooohh! Lol! For some reason,i think thats its the ending area (Rayman's ''Funeral'')...But i dont know
I wonder why Ubi made that area...Whats the purpose of that? And that box! Maybe there was a switch on the roof of the cave or something that can be activated by shooting at some angle (Rebound shot) So it hits a switch,I want to see the secret area in Rayman Revolution! But i dont got a Codebreaker/Action Replay code for moonjumping
No, I was being completely serious. The idea that the secret area is meant to be accessible is highly interesting (as it means that there may be an entire passage-opening sequence that we've yet to see), and the mysterious wooden box which is rendered beneath the floor would be a perfect explanation for how to get in there (which would simultaneously explain its own mystery, too). The box could be raised somehow. Simple.
Has anyone noticed how TOTA is split in many places without a loading screen? Maybe it was meant to be all like that, with the 1000th lum triggering the box, but they redesigned it, making the first and last parts separate areas.
We DEFINITELY must talk with ancel about this, if we got to speak with him. By the way: didn't we have this guy called CheatCat which could fly in Rayman 2 PC version?
