The philosophy.
Re: Rayman Origins
Thank you, but I'm nowhere near Spiraldoor if it comes to making up theories, XD. Now I'd just like to add some things I've forgotten to post. The first one is that maybe those images of Razorbeard on the tombstones are just images of Razorbeard's predecessors. And the second one is about the name ( "The tomb of the ancients" ). Because you ( or someone else, correct me if I'm wrong+1 to that. What a nice theory.
This is actually pretty interesting, and very off-topic as well XD.

Re: Rayman Origins
I agree, we're just flipping through the topic of The Tomb of the Ancients to Rayman Orgins and back, over and over.
It's confusing!

Re: Rayman Origins
What does he call him in French? I don't understand all the French, but I love the French voices.Spanex wrote:Gumsi calls Rayman a "limbless little runt" in english.
"Won't you shut up you stupid toad?! Now Reflux is our champion, and no knaaren has ever defeated him! Do you really believe that a limbless little runt has a chance against him?"
I turned off all sounds except dialog to get this.
Re: Rayman Origins
I can't help with that. :C I can't speak or understand french. All I do is dutch and english, and dutch isn't one of the available languages in the game (CRY)

Indeed. We need a 'lore' thread for us ponderous types. I'm not making it thoughJoshua822 wrote:Thank you, but I'm nowhere near Spiraldoor if it comes to making up theories, XD. ) answered to your question already. The Robo-Pirates can be seen as colonists ( taking all their bases on Rayman's world for example ), and so as you pointed out wouldn't mind about using the graveyard for their lost ones since they have no emotional connection to the ancients anyway.

Re: Rayman Origins
RANDOM POINT:
What never made sense to me about Reflux is.......
A. The Knaaren are said to be invinsible- you cannot kill them (and don't try it either)
B. Reflux is the strongest of them all 'The champion'
So why is it that Rayman was able to defeat Reflux even though he should be beyond invinsibility? Infact doesn't that mean that any ordinary Knaaren is stronger than Reflux?
Nom?

It makes no sense no. They should've said that Reflux made himself vulnerable for attack to challenge Rayman... it's weird I know

Re: Rayman Origins
Apparently (don't know where I picked this up... maybe Spiral-senpai?) Reflux gave up his invincibility for super strength. But the other Knaaren inflict just as much damage as himfrenkystijn wrote:Mmm never thought about itEvanEDavies wrote:RANDOM POINT:

Re: Rayman Origins
Rayman doesn't damage Reflux in the first fight, but his staff.
Then, he does apparently give up his invincibility when he makes the Sceptre part of himself.

Re: Rayman Origins
Yeah, I always figured it was the staff you were aiming at, not the head. Only in the first stage of the last fight it appears you're aiming at his head, but he's keeping the sceptre high up in the air.

But you can hurt Reflux without the Heavy Metal Fist. Well, his staff anyway.Henchman1028 wrote:Also, notice how there are no Heavy Metal Fists in the tunnels...

Re: Rayman Origins
Knaaren aren't invincible. We shouldn't take that Teensie's hyperbole literally. Rayman can't normally damage the Knaaren because a magical shield pops up whenever he gets too close to them. It may be an inherent magical ability they have, or something that the Leptys does for them. Beneath their magical protection, they are still mortal. Perhaps Knaaren gladiators don't use their magical protection in the arena. Or Reflux may have lost his protection as a result of betraying his king and stealing the Sceptre, or perhaps the Leptys's powers were turned against him somehow in the final battle, when Rayman repeatedly attacked the Sceptre. Perhaps the Leptys abandoned Reflux for some reason, maybe because it didn't want its domain or its Sceptre damaged further.
Re: Rayman Origins
Heeeeeh...
I'm going for the "No-protection-magic-in-the-arena rule" theory.
It would explain why Reflux DOES use a shield ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KlEhvsmVxDw at 1:23 ) in the second battle, assuming he's outside the arena and would do anything to win against Rayman. Rayman probably discovers at the end of the game that he CAN break through the shield using electricity (lock jaw) and more powerful tools like the blaster of the flying vehicle.
How's that of a theory?

Re: Rayman Origins
Sorry Spiral-senpai. Spanex's theory PAWNS.
Actually, no. They work together perfectly.
Kinda.
We need a lore thread.
