After playing both FireRed and Pearl, I found that Firered has a certain charm to it that the recent games in the series miss IMO.

Have you guys seen the new pokemon? What is up with the gear one? Seriously it looks stupid.

I think the gear is ok, and i think the evolution will be better.
I like the bird the best, and the crocodile is good too... but the fire thing is just ugly.
Just like the pig thing, and lmfao there is even ANOTHER pikachu rip off

I saw them this afternoon, and holy cow, this is going from bad to worst. I only like the crocodile one, and more or less the bird. The rest is scary.

I actually like some of them. The crocodile seems cool and has a nice ability. The bird is good as far as the usual normal/flying start game birds go, and the Chinchilla seems like an ok starting normal type (in other words they're good based on the standards of pidgey, swellow, ratatta and zigzagoon). The electric Zebra seems cool too.
I hate the fire ape thingy though, one fiery primate is enough I think.

As for the chinchilla, I may have taken it if it knew pickup..

The chinchilla looks really fan artish and the bird looks really like they're out of inspiration The gear one looks really out of place. The zebra looks OK though.

I hope Sandslash and Pinsir get an evolution, they're both Never used pokemon because of their stats, and Heracross destroyed Pinsir's reputation.

I hope not, look at Electrive and Magmortar, and the Rhydon evo.

Actually, i like Electrivire and Rypherior, but i seriously hate Magmortar, because he STILL has bad stats.

I got quite disappointed when I saw that Rhydon had an evolution when I bought Pokémon Pearl in 2007... He is so ugly... xx

I kind of like and hate the new pokemon, but that's always the same with new gen pokemon.

We were discussing this at the Romulation forums, looks kind of descent, i love the new pokemon like Petrovolt and the skarmory evolution.
And the new ghost pokemon.

Obviously, fake.

Game Freak should definitely steal most of those. The Regi's don't look natural and the starters look like legendaries but apart from that I like them all.

And I thought that generation 4 PKMNs were so bad...

They're not THAT bad, it's always the same before every generation, people saying the pokemon are bad, but then they get used to them.
I like the mole pokemon (you can even see the evolution of it), but i think the dialga like pokemon are bad.

That Tombstone-like pokemon is good too.
And the rival is just... FREAKING AWESOME!

I'm thinking the Sarcophagus pokemon is an evolution of Spiritomb.
