I've always wondered why it doesn't.

I considered translating that one as ‘The Epic Fail’, but I thought it might be overkill.

The European version doesn't, it has italian instead. However the American version has got the French language.

Why on Earth would they put it in the American version and not the European one? :boon:

I know what it most likely is, probably to prevent importing between European countries at a lower price. They also wouldn't get the American version because it's NTSC. I'm pretty sure this practice is done less now with games, but it's still routinely done with Blu rays and DVDs.

I’m not bothered in the slightest by region-locking, but what I am bothered by is content which differs by region. For example, there’s the Japan-exclusive special edition of Metal Gear Solid 1 with additional content, the Japan-exclusive ‘Final Mixes’ (ie best versions) of the Kingdom Hearts games, the dumbed-down American version of Ico, the censored European version of God of War I and the America-exclusive version of Rayman M, Rayman Arena. I have no desire to play games in the NTSC format, but I hate it when some regions are given preferential treatment. Europe tends to get screwed-over the most.

I still think it's stupid the Xbox and GC version of Rayman Arena being exclusive to the American Continent. I also won't get a NTSC Gamecube just for this. At least the most recent version of Dolphin can already emulate 50% of the game.

And PowerPatrick, what I wanted to mean is the physical game.

Well, it seems to have worked fine for Droolie.

Feature does not always equal a bug for that reason. Dolphin has been compiled for both, and it should contain all necessary libraries.

Then it might be the hardware of our computers. Because when I play the races, I can play without problems. Now the battle mode, I can only play the first one. On Rise & Shrine it freezes the emulator.
