I would definitely recommend playing Conker's Bad Fur Day. Not only is it hilarious, but it also has tight controls, slick graphics, and a surprisingly gripping storyline.

The first one is awesome in every way. The second one is only awesome gameplay-wise (the story was incredibly lame). The Assassin's Creed series suffered from the same problem.
