The only solution now is for you to buy both.

Re: Unseen images of Rayman SNES version
I wonder how much of a difference there is between the normal edition and the collector’s edition. I also wonder if the cover artworks were specially produced for this magazine. I hope so, as the idea of brand-new Rayman 1 artwork still being produced in 2010 pleases me.

Re: Unseen images of Rayman SNES version
Anyone else find it funny that they're calling this story "Rayman: The Origins"?
With the new game, confirmation of new 3D games, and this news about R1 SNES, I'd go far enough as to say that the Rayman series has been officially revived.
I'm glad that they didn't release this game in all honesty, and not just because if it had I never would have become a Rayman fan, but everything about it just screams "generic Nintendo platformer". There's just nothing seperating it from, say, Little Nemo on NES or Super Mario World, not to mention Rayman and "Raygirl" are obese and the graphics are pretty bad for SNES. Still, it's great to get this information and I'm hoping a French member could scan and translate the article and interview.

I bet there's no real difference at all - people are so money-grabbing these days.
Why didn't I pick up Saber's post? Damn board, messing itself up.
It has indeed been revived - for how long though, I have no idea.

Re: Unseen images of Rayman SNES version
Yes, Drolpiraat spotted the prototype Antitoon things earlier. I think they were probably just placeholders for the team while they were in the process of replacing all of the SNES-grade elements with PS1-grade ones.
For those who are interested, I have added all known information about R1 SNES to RayWiki. If I’ve missed anything, feel free to add it.

Re: Unseen images of Rayman SNES version
Thanks Spiral. That looks conclusive enough.
I don't think you missed out anything important.
EDIT: I should receive the magazine within a few days, unless the Post Office decides to piss on service AGAIN... If there are any members who want to have the scan of the entire thing, please tell me! It'll be a big file, though.
Or get it yourself. Up to you.

I ordered it but I'm not sure whether it's the collector version or whatever.

Sorry for hotlinking straight from that site, I was in such a rush to post this that I didn't think of that...

Re: Unseen images of Rayman SNES version
The orderable version, it seems, is the normal one - but maybe a select few receive the collectors editions instead?
Ou-sama, you're French, so we'll expect a full translation from you!!

Re: Unseen images of Rayman SNES version
I won't be able to read it before I come back to France though so you guys are better off starting without me. Also, where was this collector edition mentioned? I can't find anything.

Re: Unseen images of Rayman SNES version
There's a picture of it on the site - the one with a green background. 'Tis most mysterious, there are only 750 of them, I believe.

Re: Unseen images of Rayman SNES version
I see it now, I just didn't scroll down the page last time. Well I don't think there's much of a difference anyway, except the collector edition sure looks nicer.
