Sorry for my very bad English
In the first part, Ancel speaks about the scenario which is richer than the Rayman 1's. The world in which we play is more "logic" in despite of the fact that the game is centered on the action.
The language used in the game permits to have a character with more emotions. That's why we can have sometimes sensations like speed or vertigo. We (almost) could believe that we are in an action film...
The Second part :
Rayman is a character who have a lot of energy, humor, will... In terms of what Rayman meets in the game, he will develop capacities whiches the gamer doesn't know. He evolves and continues evolve. New situations = New ideas.
Third part :
In this project, they are 80 all over the world. It's explained that teams work with others teams to assemblate their functions. For example, those they call "Metteurs en scène" create levels' settings and the animation team adapts their work according to the setting in which the characters will evolve.
The budget, since there are 80 people to pay, is 3*Rayman 1's budget and it could be compared with the budget associated with an ordinary action film.
Fourth part :
The point on which they insisted is the Rayman's World. The universes are not separed but linked, not too different even if for example in game we are first in forest and then in marshland (The Bayou), the beach (Sanctuary of Water and Ice), a volcano ( Sanctuary of Stone and Fire)...
Rayman has a lot of friends in the game who help him. Whe are really accompanied by someone who thinks, who acts. And it helps to the objective of the game. The player must know his progression, why he is in a precise level. (Not in Rayman 1 : you know you must defeat MrDark but we don't know exactly why we take the longest road. In R2 you know you must find the masks.). And the final goal is to make a game not too difficult, even if it's for experts.
I'm really sorry but in this video, we can't know what software they use to make the game.
