Re: Rayman 2 Dreamcast Secret?
I'm searching in the files on the DC disc right now, the text of the cheats is found in disc/DCDATA/MORB_20/MORB_20.DAT for who has the disc and can run it in the computer.
The third word is fahrenheit, apparently. And there's only English text, even though there's French for all the rest.

Do the words match up with each clue?Drolpiraat wrote:I'm searching in the files on the DC disc right now, the text of the cheats is found in disc/DCDATA/MORB_20/MORB_20.DAT for who has the disc and can run it in the computer.

EDIT: They ARE switched! In Whale Bay, after going underwater into the area above where Carmen was trapped, activate the switch and ride the shell to the sealed room. Walk out on the edge of the bridge and repeatedly press A (the jump button). "Fahrenheit" appeared for me. I assume that it increases your life bar, but it did nothing for me as I already had it at its max. As with "Pickwitt", I am guessing this is not the only place it can be done.
Re: Rayman 2 Dreamcast Secret?
Awesome, then we've solved the final secret.
I've searched for "gauntlet" and "a bridge", two words from the secret in the DC version, in the Rayman Revolution files, and it's not there. So either it uses different text or it just isn't ported to that version?

Re: Rayman 2 Dreamcast Secret?
Not yet. We still don't know how to get it in the other versions.
Re: Rayman 2 Dreamcast Secret?
I think the best bet is trying to see if the passage is still there in the N64 version (the next closest thing to the Dreamcast one) using a Gameshark. If not, then it appears that these secrets may be DC exclusive.bunnieblaster wrote:Not yet. We still don't know how to get it in the other versions.
EDIT: Found another "Gauntlet"! This one is simple: just stand underneath the drop in the first area of The Woods of Light (right under where the first Lum is/was) and shoot. I started a new file to see if "Fahrenheit" increases your life bar a little bit or to its max.

Re: Rayman 2 Dreamcast Secret?
We already tried, the passage is there. You can get to it with moonjump, but there isn't any text appearing. It's probably triggered by the cheat, or just missing.
Re: Rayman 2 Dreamcast Secret?
By the way, it actually takes lums to reveal the secrets. In the text, there was something like, "700/800/900 lums required to reveal the next secret".
The passage is still there in the N64 version, because it can be accessed in the DS version which is a port of the N64 version.

Re: Rayman 2 Dreamcast Secret?
I accessed it on the n64 version
Re: Rayman 2 Dreamcast Secret?
Are the signs there? Perhaps there is a button code...
Anyone try the C-buttons or D-pad? Down, Right, Left, Up, Left, Up is the layout of the code on the Dreamcast buttons.
EDIT: Fahrenheit also works in the Forest Glade in the area after Ly. At the bottom of the shaft, press A repeatedly on the edge of the bridge. However, all it appeared to do was refill my life, not increase it. Maybe Pickwitt actually increases your life bar.

Re: Rayman 2 Dreamcast Secret?
The text isn't there in the ROM of the N64 version either, even though all the other text is. I'll go check the PC version now.

The signs are not there..

... and the text is compressed in the PC version, so I have no idea if it's there or not.

Re: A Weird Hole In Rayman 2
OK dudes I finally worked out how to merge topics now.
Re: A Weird Hole In Rayman 2
After starting a new file, it appears that both Pickwitt and Fahrenheit do the exact same thing: refill your life energy. Strange, I assumed one of them would increase it.
Has anyone tried the C-buttons or D-pad on the N64 yet? Down, Right, Left, Up, Left, Up is the sequence of DC buttons (DRLULU).

Someone already mentioned this, recently. They didn't mention Gauntlet though.MJongo wrote:Found another "Gauntlet"! This one is simple: just stand underneath the drop in the first area of The Woods of Light (right under where the first Lum is/was) and shoot.
Re: A Weird Hole In Rayman 2
Just made another discovery. Ever see the following codes on sites, and couldn't get them to work?
Kaleidoscope Textures Press Down,A,Down,B,A,Y,X,X
Rayman VMU Icon Press Up, X, Y, Down, Y, X, Left, Right
Try inputting them in a level with the controller in slot 2, then exiting the level.
Kaleidoscope textures is one of the coolest things you will ever see.

Re: Rayman 2 Dreamcast Secret?
The last couple of months have been pretty insane for Rayman fans.
Which buttons did you press?bunnieblaster wrote:I accessed it on the n64 version
Pause the game and press X + Y for something called ‘Full Pause Screen’. I have no idea what it is, but there’s around a 35% chance that it’s something cool.MJongo wrote:Just made another discovery. Ever see the following codes on sites, and couldn't get them to work?

Yep, though I won't be able to until later today. Be prepared: what you will witness is one of the coolest secrets in any video game ever.bunnieblaster wrote:Nice, can you make a video about it?
That was one of the first codes I tried. Unfortunately, it actually isn't so cool. All it does is get rid of the flashing "Pause" text at the top of the screen. Lots of games actually have that feature, as it is useful for taking screenshots for reviews.spiraldoor wrote: Pause the game and press X + Y for something called ‘Full Pause Screen’. On a side note, I finally found my Rayman 2 N64 cart in box in my closet. Now I just have to locate my 100% complete file memory pak, which should be fun.
