I can't find anything about Rayman Classics except that that was the first name for Rayman 10th Anniversary.
It's probably Rayman Origins, and then they picked a random date for it.

And it's Raving Rabbids travel back in time, not Rayman Raving Rabbids. ;)

Or that could be the actual date that the first episode will be released on.

Why would they call it Rayman Classics if they meant Rayman Origins? :boon:
What's more, why would a GAME store display a release date for something they can't sell (digital download)?

One guess is that it could be an HD widescreen blu-ray collection for PS3 like the GOW collection, however I find this very unlikely (although knowing how ubisoft loves to port Rayman games this isn't too far-fetched)

Sounds like a Rayman equivalent on a typical Sonic collection

Why isn’t this all over the internet already? CLARK1, could you get a photograph or a scan of the Rayman Classics thing? You haven’t said whether it’s an advertisement or whatever. We should tip off a games blog or something.

It may be Raymans 1, 2 and 3 with updated graphics.

Let’s say this is a collection of enhanced Rayman games intended to capitalise on/feed the hype for Rayman Origins and/or Rayman 4.

What’s in it? Rayman 1, Rayman 2 and Rayman 3? Rayman Revolution, Rayman M and Rayman 3? Which versions will the new versions be based on?

I would think it would be the Playstation 2 versions of R2 and R3, and possibly the Playstation version of R1 as well, wouldn't you?

I don’t know. Would it be easier to port a PS2 game to PS3 than to port a Dreamcast game? Would there be any legal issues to consider when porting the Dreamcast version? The iPhone version was based on the Dreamcast one.

Well it's Ubisoft's game so sega have no rights to it, only a license and they can port whichever version they wish to I believe. However, I'm thinking this could be part of the PS2 collections (God of War, Sly etc.) and in this case they would be the PS2 versions

Hey I went into GAME again today and I had another look. To be precise the name is rayman HD classics by that I think it means that it's rayman 1 but in HD on the ps3 and i think it just said classics because it's a classic game- I hope that some of you here were right about the thing that it might also include r 2 but in better quality ;)

I'm fairly certain that if it is real it will include R2 and R3, and it's less likely that it will include R1

Edit -> Yeah it's definitely R2 and R3, as "Classics HD" is the label that all future PS2 ports will be sold under:

I have my doubts that R1 will be included, but we have enough ports of that already right? I'm personally very happy that we will be able to play R2 Revolution and R3 in widescreen HD

(Of course this is all just what I'm thinking, I'm not suggesting that I know everything)

Well I'll try it will be a bit strange taking a photo of it- it's like a sheet with all the new games coming out it's got about 10 pages- while I'm there I'll ask the shopkeeper if he knows about anything... Or not he scares me by the fact he's over 30 and plays runescape way to long

Show this to the moderators. I'm sure you'll get lots of tings for being the 1st person to show it. I couldn't find it at my gamestop or eb games :(

Tings, for that? I don't think so. Plus tingwhores = fail
Anyway, this should be confirmed soon if it's true, so fingers crossed!

Also, CLARK1, you might consider changing the topic title to "Rayman CLASSICS HD" as we now know what it is ;)
