Rayman wouldn't be the first world saving child in a video game.

Fair enough, but even in 'Raymanian' his voice has broken. :P And he has to face everything on his own, Globox being absent most of the time and Ly as elusive as ever. That he's not screaming 'BANANA!!!' by the end of it kinda proves for me that he's not a kid.

Then again, he is rather weird. :fou:

Plus, Origins comes BEFORE R1, so he'd have to be younger.
Nice. Just nice. Thats like saying 10 year olds are pussies. Person who started this topic menchioned that. I mean cmon. Sonic was 10 during SA2 and he was pretty kick ass. So Rayman is 10 and he can't be cool? Absolutely not! Maybe in revolution his age was a little different. I'm not sure on this but videogame characters can be cool w/e the age is if it's up to 5 that's fine with me.

Heheheh, I mean no offence to 10 year olds, but come on - evil robot pirates, draining you of your power, the entire world resting on your shoulders, without much support from the few inhabitants you come across - I don't think any child could take it.
And I said nothing about coolness. Of course prepubescents can be cool. But your level of cool won't help when faced with a dozen or so enemies. Also, I like to think Sonic's youth is the reason his games are so fractured these days - like his mind. :fou: Not disrepectin' him, but you can't deny his recent offerings aren't so good.

Yes, I agree with this. 10 year olds are not cool, except to other ten year olds. To everyone else they're annoying. Of course there are a few exceptions to this, but mostly they're girls (who mature earlier). If rayman were anything less than 16 (at a push) I would not enjoy the games as much. (That is of course a mental age I am referring to, as we see in Origins, he was created by magic and had mental retardation which I suppose must have been fixed)

What the trailer of Origins suggested me is that the world is 2 years old... At least we can have an idea of the season where Rayman born.

I'd just like to point out that this means that Clark, Globox, Eig and Murphy all existed since the dawn of time.

I read it, but I don't see why they couldn't have been born from previous creatures (like the baby Globoxes)

BTW, I also always thought they'd been around forever, but I see no evidence to prove it

The Knowledge describes what creatures are created in what order. After describing all the creatures, it says "After having created all the creatures who live in this world, a harder task remained: creating time."

Of course, that he created time after anything is a paradox. The Knowledge refers to Clark, Globox and Eig by name, so they've all existed since the dawn of time and were not 'born from others'.

Ah hah, I didn't know that. So it says that those were the first creatures created?
