Sound effects
Hello, I'm looking for the sound effects of Rayman 1, like when you hit a trigger, when you punch something, etcetera. Does anyone have it, or knows anyone where to find it?
Thanks in advance, need my speed

Re: Sound effects
There is no active sound effects-ripping project. There was one some years ago, but I don’t think it was very successful.

Re: Sound effects
The way I did it, I was basically running Rayman 1 in ePSXe with no music and recording the sound effects with audacity. A little tricky but I worked around by having nothing but those two running.
Re: Sound effects
Can i ask you how you got music running on rayman 1 on pcsxe?StaceyW wrote:The way I did it, I was basically running Rayman 1 in ePSXe with no music and recording the sound effects with audacity. A little tricky but I worked around by having nothing but those two running.

I'll try it out sometime. Thanks!
Re: Sound effects
Umm, wait a minute everyone, I know how to rip them properly from the game. I'll just do that and they'll be online in about 30 minutes.
EDIT -> Here they are, enjoy! http://www.mediafire.com/?8n3j5eg9lomc7ku

Re: Sound effects
You're great! Thanks!
Re: Sound effects
No problem
Tell me if there are any sound effects that don't sound normal, as in, squeakier than in the game. I'll re-rip those then.

Re: Sound effects
That's what I find out strange... Maybe the game itself "slows down" each sound?Drolpiraat wrote:No problem

Re: Sound effects
No, it just loads them at half the frequency.
Some sounds are correct in this frequency (22050Hz), others are correct in half that frequency (11025Hz).
Here's the lower frequency version of all sounds, including the ones that were already correct in the other version but way too slow in this version: http://www.mediafire.com/?572ggvov7bundcy

Re: Sound effects
Why no 44100? Come on Ubi, it's not THAT old. Even Rayman 1 used 22050.Drolpiraat wrote:No, it just loads them at half the frequency.

Re: Sound effects
That's what I needed for the Rayman stage in Mushroom Kingdom Fusion, Droolie you saved me. I really appreciate, thank you.
Re: Sound effects
*Bump!*
By the way, I would like to know if it is possible to rip sound effects and voices from Rayman Revolution's disk.
