Re: Rayman Origins
I don't know why are you guys reffering to Ubi always, the 5 induviduals are going under the name of Ubi-Art. Not Ubisoft, they are separate little group connected to the big one, which I think wouldn't give a crap for Rayman and their fans if the little one wouldn't be there.
The Ly theory basically sounds very very very fanboyish, I doubt it's going to happen this way. Also just to note, I think it's really no point to speculate that much about the game, we don't know much of it, I don't demand to stop it, just like to note that I feel strange that you guys are throwing out speculations based on a very small piece of information, we don't see the end f the tunnel so don't get hard on it that much, but that's just my oppinion.
Also about all the tiny little details you are complaining about, like who created Rayman, and does caraters have limbs, and why does rayman have hoodiees, etc. you have to let this slide by you. They are not really crumbling up the whole universe, and to be honest, I really start to get tired about the fact, that being a fan means this kind of dedication for a title. I mean it's fine to like every little pieces of your desired medium, but for entertainent or moreso for story telling, or for giving a message out, it doesn't really matter. You just have to use suspended disbelief. and focus a bit more on what is the product for, message, exploration and entertainment.

True - but UbiSOFT is the publisher, and therefore calls the shots. Though there's no doubt Ubiart has been given a lot of freedom... I hope it stays that way.Bloodgrey wrote:I don't know why are you guys reffering to Ubi always, the 5 induviduals are going under the name of Ubi-Art. Ooh! Yay! A large post to take apart and individually post my many opinions to! It's been a little while since one of these was posted in the thread! Respondingto these things is FUN! YAAAAAAAAY!Bloodgrey wrote:I don't know why are you guys reffering to Ubi always, the 5 induviduals are going under the name of Ubi-Art. Who said that we were referring to Ubi Soft instead of Ubi Art? We just said 'Ubi.' I was under the impression we were talking about Ubi Art, not Ubi Soft. It's what I've been referring to, anyways; or both of them, since the little one - as you say - is a part of the bigger one. Therefore, when I talk about Ubi, it's about both of them since they are actually connected, and what one does is directly relevant to the other.I don't know why are you guys reffering to Ubi always, the 5 induviduals are going under the name of Ubi-Art. Not Ubisoft, they are separate little group connected to the big one
Unfortunately, this may be so. They've got other popular franchises. I'm rather grateful they allowed Ancel and his team to make one anyways though.which I think wouldn't give a crap for Rayman and their fans if the little one wouldn't be there.
Don't forget the fangirls too. =PThe Ly theory basically sounds very very very fanboyish
Course we don't think it's actually gonna happen, that's why it's called speculation.I doubt it's going to happen this way.
Sure there's a point. It's entertaining, and gives us something to do to pass the time while we wait for it to come out. :3Also just to note, I think it's really no point to speculate that much about the game
Nope. We sure don't. =Pwe don't know much of it
I'm honestly not too sure how many people would listen anyways. XDI don't demand to stop it
Again. It's fun.just like to note that I feel strange that you guys are throwing out speculations based on a very small piece of information
Nope. That's why it's 'speculation.'we don't see the end f the tunnel
I'm not sure what you're trying to say here, but I really hope it's not what my perverted-thanks-to-the-internet mind came up with.so don't get hard on it that much
And having an opinion is absolutely fine. It's what this thread is for after all. :3but that's just my oppinion.
I agree it's silly to complain about those details. =P Some of 'em anyways. Also about all the tiny little details you are complaining about
Why would we complain about this? It's still the same guy who's working on Origins, and I'm personally psyched because of it. I'm not complaining at ALL. XDlike who created Rayman
Some people just want to fill in the gaps and are unsure of whether they're retconning this or whether it will be explained. I'm personally going for the former.and does caraters have limbs
Lawl. I found this ridiculous as well.and why does rayman have hoodiees, etc.
Agreement. :3you have to let this slide by you
Nope. I don't think they are either. They are not really crumbling up the whole universe
I take it you read the first few pages of the thread and saw Saber's posts, eh? I found that ridiculous too. =Pand to be honest, I really start to get tired about the fact, that being a fan means this kind of dedication for a title.
And this is why we are talking about it. c:I mean it's fine to like every little pieces of your desired medium
It does to some people.but for entertainent or moreso for story telling, or for giving a message out, it doesn't really matter.
Yep. Some people can only suspend their disbelief so far though. I think they're just anxious that the game series they love is going to be changed forever in its new 'rebirth.'You just have to use suspended disbelief. and focus a bit more on what is the product for, message, exploration and entertainment.
Heh. That was fun. So many quotes. Heh. Hehe. HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE... 8D *brick'd again* ...Owie. :<

You ‘told’ because you do not think the Ly theory is serious business? ‘Told’ what? I don’t understand you.Bloodgrey wrote:Um... actually no. That's why I told.

Re: Rayman Origins
Here we go again.
I told (my oppinion in my previous post, what you were refering to also, so it's not hard to guess we are talking about what I 'told' in that post, I don't get it why do you ask) because I think it's not serious business, and by the posts I felt that some may took it too serious, and I felt saying they better not to do, but that wasn't an URGENT thing to tell, I just felt it would have made some sense to say.
Ok then you are not trolling but you are calling my statements nonsensical, and you are treating me like I'm stupid. My oppinion opposes yours, and you can't let that slide by you. For me that kinda looked trolling, cause you can't get off me.
Sheesh...
@Ephriokko: Uh sorry I meant "don't be so hard on it", I usually don't change up words. I accept what you say, it's not like I want to control anybody (not like I could, hehe
) I just gave out my oppinion, for the second time cause I felt I didn't expressed myself good enough, tried to say it from a different perspective, or with differnet choice of words. That's why the two "wall of text" posts what I made are there in this topic. I wanted to gave out my oppinion, and I didn't want to get in any arguement, cause it's not like I would change my mind and I guess others also wouldn't. Also I felt I had to state that maybe there are people, who's feeling I pointed at them, cause there are always people who are taking an "in general" statement as "personal", and I wanted to tell I don't refer to anyone personally (and no I'm not saying it is you, spiraldoor, I meant this in general). But as I see there will be always people who thinks it's their cup of tea, but I guess there's a reason for this.

Re: Rayman Origins
It's true we all have our own opinions. But it's human nature for us to try and argue against those we don't agree with, because we want to prove our way of thinking to be correct. Although it'd be nice if we could talk without getting into arguments, it's really inevitable - here or anywhere else. And hey, in some cases debating about these things is pretty dang fun...

Re: Rayman Origins
The theory that the giant pink monster is Ly was a joke. It was not serious in any way. Nobody showed any sign that they were taking it seriously. It seems rather patronising of you to step in and ‘inform’ us that it is ‘very very very fanboyish’ (whatever that means). You were the only one that gave the joke any kind of serious thought at all, yet you acted as if you were the only one capable of seeing it for what it was.Bloodgrey wrote:I told (my oppinion in my previous post, what you were refering to also, so it's not hard to guess we are talking about what I 'told' in that post, I don't get it why do you ask) because I think it's not serious business, and by the posts I felt that some may took it too serious, and I felt saying they better not to do, but that wasn't an URGENT thing to tell, I just felt it would have made some sense to say.

Yeah, it's really patronising to give out a personal oppinion, with saying it several times that "I'm not for an arguement" and "this is just my oppinion", thats really "patronising" and yes thats like "acting like I'm the only capable seeing such things". [/irony]spiraldoor wrote: The theory that the giant pink monster is Ly was a joke. It was not serious in any way. Nobody showed any sign that they were taking it seriously. Don't try to portrait a speculation as a joke, sure a speculation is not serious but it's still not a joke. And I really start to get enough of your nitpicking, see the others are ok with my oppinion and I can accept theirs to, you and me, we just dissagre and that's all, get off me already. Please. I'm getting tired explaining every sentences of mine for you to see you are trying to portrait me as I'm after you, or I'm about to put myself above others, cause I'm not. Do something helpful in your freetime, instead of poking me always.
And btw look up for "fanboyish" on Urban Dictionary if you don't konw the word.
If you just continue this I will just ignore any of your posts from now.

Re: Rayman Origins
The idea that the pink monster is Ly is ridiculous. Jewish Candy was joking. She would have to be stupid in order to genuinely believe that the pink monster is Ly. Responding to her joke as if you thought she was being serious is highly patronising and an insult to her intelligence, that’s all.Bloodgrey wrote:Yeah, it's really patronising to give out a personal oppinion, with saying it several times that "I'm not for an arguement" and "this is just my oppinion", thats really "patronising" and yes thats like "acting like I'm the only capable seeing such things". [/irony] Don't try to portrait a speculation as a joke, sure a speculation is not serious, but I really get enough of all of YOUR patronising, see the others are ok with other's oppinion, why can't we just discuss this normally, we dissagre and that's all get off me already.
‘A passionate fan of various elements of geek culture (e.g. sci-fi, comics, Star Wars, video games, anime, hobbits, Magic: the Gathering, etc.), but who lets his passion override social graces.’ I don’t see the connection with the pink-monster-is-Ly joke theory.Bloodgrey wrote:And btw look up for "fanboyish" on Urban Dictionary if you don't konw the word.
Well it’s not my fault that English isn’t your first language, or that you have a tendency to make long, rambling posts that often obscure whatever point you’re trying to make. Not that there’s anything wrong with either of those things, but they’re really not a good combination.Bloodgrey wrote:I'm getting tired explaining every sentences of mine for you trying to portrait me as I'm after you, or I'm about to put myself above others, cause I'm not.
Re: Rayman Origins
Bloodgrey, don't tell me you were really believing on Jewish Candy.
Anyway, I've been thinking again in the possible price of this first episode from Rayman Origins. I noticed that a new Worms game was released a few days ago for PC, via STEAM, and it has got HD 2D graphics (With 3D elements/effects) that was based in a XboxLA game from Worms and the price really dropped my jaw: 14,99€. I wonder if Rayman Origins (either going to UbiSoft Store or STEAM) will have a smiliar price.

Re: Rayman Origins
I actually started reading the topic again with her post, so I didn't see all the funy stuff going before. So yeah I did think she meant it serious. And I was like, ah better not. I don't think it's that surprising, sometimes fandom really gets uncontrollably wild with speculations, especially on the net, and with not knowing each that deeply, I was expecting it could happen. Not like I waited for it or wanted to dramatically step in just gave some mumbling about it. Or at least that's what I intended to do.Haruka wrote:Bloodgrey, don't tell me you were really believing on Jewish Candy.![]()

...In all seriousness, though, it's great to see these things get resolved. It's much nicer to have a discussion when people aren't always going at each others' throats.

Re: Rayman Origins
Tomorrow it will make 2 months that no new news appear neither on the RO blog or Ubiart blog. I wonder if the comments invasion on both bloggs depressed the team who is working on the game.
